"Don't pull the blanket."

I said, but Konoha who is beside me keep on pulling the blanket.

"But it's too cold... Why the heck you rented this kind of inn in the first place."

She's just sleeping here overnight and she's starting to complain.

I'm suspecting that this girl will be a pain in the ass in the future.

I pull some blanket, making Konoha roll.

"You’re selfish Ren, did you know the saying 'Spoiled the woman.'"

"What kind of saying is that? I never heard about it... If that saying is true then became a woman first."

I said as I stare at her petite little body.

Konoha started to have an embarrassed blushed expression with her both hands hugging her. Thinking that I’m thinking something immoral about her. She turned her head opposite to me and lay down.

Looks like Konoha learn her lesson. That’s what I thought…

Konoha goes inside the blanket and hugs me tightly from my back. She’s embracing me tightly I can feel her soft body.

Are all girls these soft? Girls are amazing!

"Eehhh!"

She started rubbing her body on my back.

Surprised by her action making my face a bit red.

"Wh-What are you doing?"

"I'm hugging you it's obvious."

"I know it's obvious but why you’re doing that."

"Are you stupid? I'm doing this because it's so cold and your body is quite warm. Rubbing makes heat from friction.”

She explained.

I rolled my body and turned my gaze toward her. Looking closely, she is quite cute while sleeping.

"Why you’re staring at me? Starting to see me as a woman?"

She said with a confident voice.

"Of course not... Let's just sleep today and plan out everything tomorrow."

I turn my head to the opposite side and close my eyes. Konoha who is hugging me from my back makes a smile of relief.

The next day.

"That was great fried chicken over there."

Said Konoha while sleeping.

I'm staring at her while she sleeps with a disappointed expression. This girl tells me that we will take down the evil leader of this town, but looking at her attitude I don't know if she will succeed or not.

The sun is high up in the sky and she is still on the bed with a drooling face.

"Hey wake up it's already morning... Konoha! Konoha!"

I wake her up by slapping her face.

"What's the deal?! That hurt's?!"

"I'm just trying to wake you up."

"You can do it properly."

She stretches her arm and makes a big yawn.

"Let's go."

Konoha stands up from the bed and follows me.

"Ren… Ren..."

"What is it?"

"Ren… Ren..."

"What?"

"It's nothing I just feel like calling you..."

Don't bother people if you don't need something.

"... It's been a while since I called a friend by the first name."

Konoha said, and overtake me while walking and turn around in front of me. We go to the restaurant and have breakfast. After eating breakfast, Konoha drags me to a place that I had never been visiting yet in the town.

It's on the outskirt of the city. The structures are different from the structures in the middle area. Many abandoned houses can be seen. Mosses ate the walls.

"Hey, why did you drag me in this kind of place?"

I asked, but Konoha ignored me and continue walking.

After walking for few minutes…

"Huh?"

"Look!"

"It's Konoha!"

Kids turned their heads toward Konoha. With big smiles on their faces, they run Konoha’s position.

"Hey hey Konoha, where have you been?"

"It's lonely when you’re not here."

"We are waiting for you last night."

Said the kids.

A crowd of kids was around Konoha. Some ar cry and some are very excited to see her.

"I'm sorry, yesterday is a tough day and I need to stay in another house... I'm sorry."

Konoha explained.

"Big sister Konoha, who is that lame-looking guy?"

"You’re not dating a lame guy like him right?"

"On top of that, he looks so weak."

Kids commented.

Hearing their comment toward me makes me feel a little bit angry.

I need to control myself, they are kids after all.

“That weird lame weak boring guy over there is Ren, he's the one who helps me yesterday."

Konoha introduces me.

Please don’t introduce me in that way. I started to feel that I'm a weird lame weak boring guy, like what kids are saying about me.

I walked close to Konoha and asked her.

"Why you drag me here and who are those kids anyway?"

"Big sister Konoha let's play soccer."

"Yeah, I will play later..."

Konoha and I sat down under the big tree and started talking about things.

"This place is the slumps and the weak people gathered here... They are the people that I want to help."

"Want to help?"

"Yes, I want to help them... I remember three months ago when I came to this town. This town is wonderful and people living in this town tend to help each other. The poor and the rich back then are still not divided. This place is a peaceful place that everyone wants to live until that man came here."

"I see, things have changed."

I said.

"Things change into the worse scenario... The poor people who can pay the tax are thrown into these slumps, without great reasons... That man is ruing this place to worse making poor people suffer for being poor."

"You love this place don't you?"

"Huh? Well, I think it's not love… Just like you, I’ma  stranger here. I just can’t let these kids' homes be taken away by some evil guy. I don’t want them to be abandoned.”

Everything is now clear to me, she just wants to help these victims all along.

"... His evil and needs to be taken down… Don’t worry, I’ll make sure that he won’t do anything evil anymore…"

“...”

Konoha trned glance on my face. The ball drops in front of us.

"Kick the ball here, big bro."

"You got it."

I kicked the ball toward the kids and started playing with them.

Konoha who is sitting under the tree smiled and said:

"That's unfair, let me join in the game."
