Episode 3

"Let me go and we'll all forget this happened" Choryrth negotiated.

"Be quiet!" A soldier yelled and shoved him in the stomach, luckily his armour took most of the hit.

"Lock him up! The General will be happy we caught a bigger fish" the captain ordered.

"Bigger f. . ." He could barely complete his statement before he was knocked out with a rod and at the same time the walls had retracted themselves but Mako wasn't there -he ran away. . .that was the plan right? But why do I feel hurt? -Choryrth thought several seconds before everything became pitch black.

Noon: The Dallas tribe camp:

Sareena's hut:

        Slam~

        "Mum! Mum!" Mako yelled.

"What is it!" Sareena rushed out of the room, Mako was angry but his hands couldn't stop shaking.

"Choryrth. . ." He scoffed -mum probably doesn't know right? He fooled both of us-Mako wrestled with his thoughts.

"Where is he? Are you guys done with the hunt already?" She asked smiling as Mako set down the small pouch where he folded the plans into.

"I don't know. . ." Mako sighed, calming himself down.

"What do you mean you don't know?" She grabbed the two plates of soup she had kept for both brothers

"he left early this morning saying he was going to look for you" she placed the plates on the table.

"I didn't see him. . ." Mako retorted and took a seat by the table.

"That's odd, is everything alright?" Sareena asked, worried.

"Yes mum, maybe if he doesn't see anyone he'll come back" Mako lied, he had let his anger get the best of him, his hatred for Elementals seemed to be stronger than the love he had for Choryrth.

That was a lie. . . Mako wanted Choryrth gone the moment he found out what Choryrth had been keeping, for all he knows his father was killed by elemental masters, they're all monsters. . .they don't deserve sympathy and that's what he wanted to believe.

Late noon: The Outpost

Inside the Red Dragon vessel: the interrogation room.

"Is he awake yet?" A voice said, Choryrth was regaining consciousness slowly, he could hear every single conversation. . . although he'd much rather be unconscious than come to a reality where he was betrayed by his own brother, his mum used to say "keep it a secret from Mako, he may not know Chory but you're destined for great things" -great things? I'm stuck here with the tyrants I've been trying to avoid all my life -his mind wandered off. He could still hear the murmuring, his wrist felt sore, probably from the knot which was tied around them to the chair "stay away from the red dragon soldiers, especially General Mao!" Sareena's voice hit like a reminder followed by the heavy splash of water which brought him back to his cruel reality.

"Great! You're awake" a soldier said with a smile "for a second I thought I had hit you too hard"

        ". . ." Choryrth panted, continuously.

"Hey! I heard a legend of the guardians that the new generation would be led by an Earth elemental with a heart of gold" the second soldier mocked.

"How did you get the Earth elemental? Last time I checked they were wiped out completely" the nice soldier asked.

"Wiped out?" Choryrth managed to spit out.

"Maybe you survived the war?" The nice soldier asked, hands on his chin. -Mako wasn't joking about the war -Choryrth wondered.

"They're supposed to have. . ." He walked up to Choryrth and undid Choryrth's shirt lacing ". . .tattoo markings somewhere around their. . ." His jaws dropped at the sight of the white dragon tattoo on Choryrth's left chest.

"That's the tattoo right?" The nice soldier stuttered.

"Oh. . .my. . ." Both soldiers stepped back.

"That's because he is a guardian" the Captain said as he walked in.

"I don't know what you're talking about" Choryrth barked "I've had this thing since I was a kid" he yelled.

"Yeah he's Chief Kamren's blood in the flesh alright" the captain said softly.

"Kamren. . ." Then it hit hard, the tattooed shadows in his nightmares could also be guardians like him, Kamren? That was the last name he heard every single time before he woke up "who's Kamren!" He yelled.

"Oh don't play dumb with us," the second soldier retorted "captain, we may have lost the map but we've scored a jackpot here" he added with a cocky smile.

"And to think the leader of the guardians was a little boy" the captain chuckled alongside both soldiers -leader of the guardians? Kamren's blood? What the heck! -Choryrth wondered, still panting, he struggled to let himself loose but it was to no avail. Just then, there was a distant flare the size of a boulder launched into the sky.

Gasps "that's the general's flare!" The nice soldier exclaimed.

"He must be close by! Come let us welcome him" the captain said and left with the second soldier.

"Hey! Hey please wait up!" Choryrth called to the nice one who was on his way out.

"Do you need anything?" The soldier turned around.

"You have to get me out of here, please!" He pleaded.

"And risk my neck, no thank you" he replied with a chuckle.

"Ok. . .at least tell me who Kamren is. . .can you?"

"It's funny you keep asking about him, Kamren was the once and former leader of the Shouken guardians so technically he's your father. . ." That word 'father'

"M. . .my father. . ." He muttered just before the soldier exited the room

        "wait y. . ."

Slam~ he sighed, unbelievable, all that was a lie he didn't want to believe but could it be true? Anyways What mattered the most now was getting out of here alive.

The Dallas tribe Camp: Sareena's hut

       "Mako!"

       "Mum!"

"Mako where is your brother! You told me you didn't see him but you've been acting strange ever since you came back!" She yelled from inside the room

"I don't know mum! I've told you before I didn't see him!" Mako retorted.

"He hasn't eaten since morning! Could he be at Elder Sharman's place?" She yelled.

        "Maybe!" Mako replied nervously.

"Please go and check!" She yelled.

"Ok!" He replied, guilty as charged, he could swear he was worried about Choryrth, after all he came to his rescue a while ago but still. . .

The Outpost: inside the Red Dragon vessel:

The interrogation room:

Choryrth examined the entire room slowly, from the Red Dragon tapestries to the dull lighting and metal walls. His feet was tied to the chair but he could feel it was loose, that aside he kept staring out the glass window from where he could see the Red Dragon soldiers cleaning up after the mess they made around the premises, he couldn't bend without his arms and legs. . . But something was definitely cooking up in his head. The room was high up from the grounds but if he could just get his feet free, definitely not his arms, the knotting was perfect.

        Creak~~

"Hey. . ." The nice soldier called to him as he approached.

         "You're back?" Choryrth exclaimed.

"Shhhh!" He replied and took off his helmet, Choryrth was right, he could tell by the voice.

        "Are you. . ."

"My name is Aielo, I'm from an old northern village. Not all of us are bad apparently" he smiled, his jet black hair resting slightly above his shoulders with his finely chiseled chin and warm smile. Shocking as it is he was just slightly older than Choryrth.

"What if you get caught?" Choryrth whispered.

"I'd rather die doing something noble" he smiled while untying the ropes "knowing a member of the guardians exists has given me hope and a reason to keep fighting back" he was done with the knot around Choryrth's feet.

"I still don't know what you're talking about" Choryrth replied.

"You might find out soon enough" he smiled again and finished with the knot around Choryrth's wrists "I hope we meet again" he stood up to leave

"Thank you" his voice danced through the soldiers ears as a smile played along his lips.

"You have three seconds" he said just before Choryrth directed what seemed to be an Earth bridge that stretched from the dry land and all the way through the glass window.

"Help! The prisoner has escaped!" Aeilo yelled and glanced at Choryrth one last time, Choryrth nodded and hopped onto the platform sliding straight out of the ship, he ran as fast as he could dodging fireblasts and sending attacks as well but he was too fast and his attack was sudden, in the blink of an eye he disappeared into the woods while Aielo replaced his helmet.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

"How could you let him escape!" The captain yelled.

"I didn't sir, I just came in to check up on him and he ambushed me!" Aielo lied, all along with a satisfactory smile on his face.

        "You idiot!" The captain yelled.

"Chase him! Find him!" The captain ordered as Aielo joined the rest of the soldiers rushing out.

"Sir! The ship is in a really bad condition right now, shouldn't we focus on clearing things before the general arrives?" A soldier asked.

"I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU DO OR HOW YOU DO IT! just bring back that kid!" He yelled.

The Dallas tribe camp:

Mako was pacing to and fro the environment, thinking -what if they kill him? What if? What if? -no! He had to go back for Choryrth, there's more to their relationship than just a minor argument. . . He gripped tight his sword, a Red Dragon sword with the Captain's emblem, just about to head out when he paused at his tracks..

         "C. . . Choryrth?" He stuttered "are y. . ."

"Don't even talk to me" Choryrth retorted.

"Look we both have scores to settle and y. . ."

"You wanted me to die didn't you!" Choryrth yelled, their argument had called the attention of the villagers who had begun to gather around.

"What? I was coming to get you and besides, you betrayed me!" Mako yelled.

"I was saving your sorry butt and besides I didn't choose to be born like this!" Choryrth yelled back.

"Yeah well you kept it from me right? Mako retorted.

"I only did so because mum asked me to! Would you have accepted me if you knew I was an Earth elemental!"

Gasps filled the air, this drama was becoming one to watch, someone probably must have gone to get Sareena by now.

"Mum knew about it too?" Mako scoffed.

"Chory? Chory!" Sareena exclaimed and ran up to the boys.

"You knew about this too!" Mako yelled at Sareena.

"About. . . what?" She asked dumbfounded.

"That Chory is an Earth elemental!" Mako yelled.

Gasps yet again filled the air, Sareena stood confused, she turned to face Choryrth but he threw his face away, she knew this would cause a feud between both boys but why today? Couldn't there have been an easier way?

"It was your fault I got caught! Your idea to get Into that Red dragon ship! Y. . ."

         "What?" Sareena retorted.

"I didn't force you to come!" Mako yelled.

"Well at least I cared about your welfare! You didn't even care if I was ok or not!"

"What! Mako you said you didn't see him!"

"No! He did mum! He did! But he didn't care to come back for me! They said they were going to sell me at the black market!" Choryrth cried.

"This is not good!" Elder Sharman yelled as he pushed through the crowd "if you were seen Earth flexing then you're in grave danger!" He exclaimed to the entire villagers surprise.

"They could be after you!" A man yelled.

"What if they find us here!" A woman cried.

"They saw me Earth bend! They were going to hand me over to that Tyrant General Mao! And. . ." He remembered the talk about the tattoo

"Everyone go back inside your huts! We'll take care of things here!" Elder Sharman ordered.

"Who's Kamren mum. . . And what's the Real meaning of this tattoo? You said it was a birth mark" Choryrth said softly.

"Just so you know, I can never accept an Elemental as my brother!" Mako retorted before running off.

        "MAKO!" Sareena yelled.
