The group stood before Yukiro, ready for her to allow them to go home. Nelson wondered how she would help them get home, as she had explained nothing to him. What she had said was that it would be quick.

“Now, before I get you on your way,” Yukiro said to them as she turned her focus squarely on Inleet. “Did you wish for me to return your brother’s body to you?”

“I’d rather he be alive,” Inleet said, her tone cold. She knew her brother was gone for good, as Yukiro seldom brought someone back from the dead. Even if he had done something heroic by helping save Nelson, life and death were not something to be treated casually.

Yukiro offered a look of sorrow. “Unfortunately, even if I did that, his body is far too mangled. Even I can’t fix everything,” she replied. “We Gods may be immortal and powerful, but we have limits.”
