1: A theif and a will

    "Stop! you thief!"

The busy village market was interrupted by the scream of a middle-aged man who was running through the market, pushing down stuff without much care while they chase after a young man who energetically ran before them.

    "Stop there!"

The young man was running swiftly and in such Hurry that the middle-aged man seemed far behind him. But he didn't stop, he couldn't be caught by them!

    "Stop there you little thief!"

The men yelled after him as though it would stop the young man who was dressed in a ragged Black garment from running. Because this skilled Young Man had just jumped over a cart that was left on the way.

At the market, sides were screams and chatters from market attendants and vendors who were amazed by the normal chase scene that seemed to be happening quite often now!

This young man looked back at the persistent old hags that were behind him as he continued.

Ahead of him was a longer cart of cabbages that was packed by a man who was making some business.

The young man's eyes widened as he approached. He wasn't sure he would make it pass!

With his eyes closed, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him and getting to the cart he threw himself to the air and surprisingly did a flip and the landed on his feet again! This had Marvelled certain people around.

Landing on his feet hard, the young man let out a smirk as he continued his marathon!

The old chasers stopped abruptly and went around the cart and then continued. As they ran after him as fast they could, they were annoyed as this little brat threw away foodstuff before them to stall them and even push down carts!

This young man saw that he wasn't gonna make it if he kept on running like this so he began making dashes.

He dashed into a corner abruptly as people dodged him. He was quick and manipulative in his running and when he made his final dash, he saw a dead end!

He panicked as he continued walking towards it. This was it, the wall before head could be his last! But no, he couldn't lose hope.

With that, he ran as fast as he could, and placing his feet on the cart of straws before the wall, he made an impressive jump over the wall and landed on the other end.

The men ran to the corner and looked around, didn't see anyone. they looked around.

"Where did he go?" one asked.

"Maybe over the wall, I'll have a look" Another volunteered as he climbed up the wall looking down at the corner. But there was no one. He got down and shocked his head.

    "He escaped! That brat!"

"We'll get him next time he comes to steal our bread!" One who seemed to be their leader Said as they all left with unpleasant murmurs.

The young man slowly crawled out from behind the ball of dust where he had hidden and sat down leaning against the wall.

He looked exhausted from the run that he had often been engaged in. It annoyed him how he would have to get his food through this means. Being chased afterward.

With a long sigh, he looked up at the bright sky. The big sun was up ahead. Big and bright as always

He looked down at his side, digging his hands inside his shabby black clothes, and then got out a circular loaf of bread that could fit right into his hands.

He sighed looking at the little bread that was held by his dirty hands, the reason why he was chased like this! A thief!

He took a big bite from it.

But he couldn't do anything about it. This was his life, the life he ended up growing with. All alone In this big world with no aim in life...Or so?

He hated his current situation of poverty and pity. He Hated the fact that he would go about the street stealing to feed himself. He Hated the fact that he had to hide from most who might recognize him someday, from most who called him a worthless thief! trash of a human! And most especially, he hated the Heavens for all these!

Eating half a bit from the bread, he looked up at the Heavens and felt his annoyance growing. He Hated that big place. The people there and everything about it... Because his current situation was all because of this heaven!

He looked down at the loaf and again took a big bite. This was what his miserable life was about!

Night at the Village was calm and tranquil. It was also peaceful and normal with busy people all heading home.

The bars and restaurants were mostly filled up with drunkards and lavish people at this moment. Loud laughers and chats could be heard from Various halls of gathering and many spots in the village Where gambling was a thing.

The young man covered his head in a black hood as he headed to an outside bar where most people there were gathered in groups, drinking and chatting aloud.

He was careful enough not to be seen as he sat down at a table alone. The Waiter had come to him and he had casually requested a drink.

As his drink was being brought, he couldn't help to get an ear of the gossip that passed on from the men close to him.

"Didn't you hear it old man?! Some people from the heavens had already come to that Great teacher's house and slaughtered all his so-called disciples! so don't dare take your son there for knowledge!"

"Really? The heavenly people had slaughtered the disciples of the 20 disciples of the Great Master Lu? But why?"

"I guess you didn't hear..well...I'll let you in on this! Just a week ago, Master Lu, one of the most prestigious cultivators in our village was said to be teaching against the heavens! It's said his teachings were importer and led youngsters astray. Because of this, he was wanted by the heavenly officials and when they visited his home at the east, he was not there and his disciples who were training there were all killed! "

"How did I not know this?"

"I heard it from my son who is a cultivator at the sung academy. It was tragic how these youngsters in quests of knowledge died for the sins of their master!"

The young man who was listening at a distance narrowed his eyes at them to get a clearer view of those men talking. From all they had said, all ye could make out of this was...

"Who else has a hating to the heavens as I do? I have to find him"

When the server had come to serve his wine, the young man was gone! It has
