{Dragon territory, the stary sky}

The sea of stars as the name suggests is the most fascinating place in the entire astral realm. The dragons are the overlords of the sea of stars. As they say 'roses are surrounded with thorns' this magnificent place of the astral realm is also the deadliest. The territory of the strongest divine beast, the dragon queen Tiamat is the ruler of this region.

The sea of stars got its name because the majority of the surroundings is submerged in seawater and the water also have the same guise as the sky. The only land here are islands where most dragons inhabit other than water dragons. Here night remains for all time of the day because of the absence of sun. On the largest island of the sea of stars where the queen of dragon's lives. There is a mountain soo tall that the peak is not visible to the naked eye. Worthy of its name 'the peak to heavens', on its highest peak surrounded by stars, there is a castle made of grey colour stones. Inside the castle in one of its bedrooms, there is a small baby probably only a couple of months old could be seen sleeping calmly without any care of the world. A woman is sitting by the babies side, her appearance can be said to be extremely gorgeous with light blond hair, fair skin and a mature figure. The woman's face is elegant with blue eyes which are currently showing a multitude of emotions but sadness and love are by far the most prominent. She was looking at the baby in a trance with those eyes, she broke out of the daze after some time then shook her head to get rid of any unnecessary thoughts then let out a sigh. The odd part about her that concludes she is not a human is her vertical slit pupils rather than normal round pupils like humans.

The door of the room opened and the blond woman who was seated beside the baby looked towards the open door. The person who opened the door is another voluptuous woman with shining platinum silver hair, her cold expression is so intimidating that men will contemplate before appreciating her figure. Her light silver eyes held such indifference that many would not dare to stare at them for long. Her porcelain white face is screaming utmost pride and confidence like everything is beneath her and have no value but only those who know her will think otherwise. 

She can show such arrogance, after all, she is the mightiest divine beast and the queen of dragons Tiamat a chaos dragon. This huge castle is her residence, the blond lady is her eldest daughter princess Apep a light dragon. 

She walked towards the sleeping baby with silent steps and her arrogant and cold expression morphed into gentle and kind, her gaze become filled with love but there is still subtle hidden bitterness and anguish that she can conceal under her calm and indifferent facade, she is relatively old and can suppress her feelings adequately. 

"How did he perish? Who killed him? What occurred during my sleep?" Tiamat asked a multitude of questions right from the beginning.

Apep didn't mind, her mother was forever terrible at communicating and doesn't like formalities and it's not like the current situation is very favourable.

"He died while battling on the mortal realm. After you went to hibernate he meet a human princess and fell in love with her, he made a contract with her. He succumbed alongside her fighting a formidable enemy." Apep said with obvious wrath in her voice, she is very gracious and organized most of the time but even she couldn't help but lose her calm with the present circumstance.

Her brother Vritra had died for a human can this matter be any more outrageous, dragons are creatures of pride for them humans and ants are the identical pitifully weak. They only respect Strength, If Tiamat was not the strongest then she also wouldn't have the title of queen. 

Tiamat has five children, everyone created by the enormous amount of mana and her soul essence, as she never had a spouse. Four of them are girls and one boy. Vritra was moreover her most spoiled child as he was also a chaos dragon similar to Tiamat. Tiamat occasionally goes to hibernation to comprehend more about laws as this was the final step to achieve godhood. During this time however just after she went into hibernation the humans from the mortal realm appeared in the astral realm and Vritra met a human girt and fall in love with her, after making a contract he left with her to the mortal realm.

Currently, he is dead while fighting for the weak humans, Apep permitted him to go only because he was already an S-rank dragon. A powerhouse in the mortal realm. But she never thought an individual in the mortal realm can endanger his life much less kill him. 

"Ludicrous...my son a chaos dragon perishing at the hands of a mortal realm existence. Even more outrageous is that a human girl can seduce him, I perceived that he was not well with girls but this is terrible. So, who killed him? And is it still alive?" Tiamat sneered yanked between agony and contempt. Her only son who had the greatest potential between his siblings to reach the demigod stage was killed, she was, even more, angrier at his incapability to handle the opposite gender, how can a dragon be led around by the nose by a human girl? She still couldn't comprehend. But she still inquired who the culprit was.

"Truthfully, the girl was not bad. She was the only princess of the Virginia kingdom and a destiny crest owner. So I thought it was not so bad and agreed to his request. But I never thought that someone would achieve singularity and reach the demigod stage in the mortal realm. The current queen of demons Ardat Lili of Envilya kingdom was the one who killed him." Apep answered with some awe in her voice. She was also a dragon and she admires strength over everything, even if the demon queen was the one who killed her brother she can't help but respect her because achieving the demigod stage in the mortal realm was even harder than encountering the goddesses. 

"Ohh...Now I understand. If she truly is a demigod then that explains how she can kill Vritra. A singularity huh...how long has it been?" Tiamat murmured to herself after hearing the reason for her son's death.

"So is she alive?" She raised the question with some doubts even if her son was the strongest king realm dragon he was however not a match for a demigod, she doubts he was able to slay her.

"No, she is still alive but seriously injured. He was able to seal her with infinity imprisonment but Vritra and the girl both had to sacrifice their lives to seal her." Apep replied with apparent sadness. Tiamat didn't say anything and stayed silent after hearing about all the events that occurred after she went into hibernation, she wouldn't have woken up if the connection between her and Vritra didn't break. She sort out every piece of information and began to speculate about her future method of action, she can't go to the mortal realm to kill that demoness and Adrat fought fair&square and won, she couldn't antagonise her for defending herself it was a war you kill or die. 

She then proceed to look at the slumbering infant it provoked a delightful smile on her face. If anything good came out of this unfortunate accident then it is the newborn boy. Her first grandchild moreover a chaos dragon, before going to war Vritra's wife gave birth to his child a boy but the child was not able to get his mother's warmth. Shortly after war erupted between demons and humans Vritra delivered the child here for protection, and now both his parents are dead. The only one to suffer the most is the innocent child having lost both of his parents. 

Tiamat's motherly instincts took possession and she cuddled the baby close to her heart. She looked at the infant's face which is chubby and round he is overwhelmingly cute. Snow white skin same platinum silver hair as her. The baby brought a sense of obligation and tenderness in her heart a desire to protect him began to appear in her mind. Even if she didn't like his mother, she blames her for the death of her son. She can't be angry with her newborn grandson and possibly only grandchild. He is moreover a chaos dragon like her, it was like a blessing in disguise.

While carrying the baby she made up her mind.

"I've decided, I'll train my grandson personally. This is my declaration don't try to kill Adrat, she killed Vritra in a fair fight we can't tarnish Vritra's pride as a dragon by killing her when she is weak. When his son grows up he will personally kill her and avenge him." Tiamat's expression changed and she spoke with authority like a ruler, not a mother.

"Yes, mother I understand." Apep bowed and accepted her order. She knew her mother is stubborn and will not listen once she set her mind on something.

"Mother the boy doesn't have a name will you name him?" Apep asked, in this world naming is a very important matter so Vritra wanted to think carefully before deciding alas he didn't get enough time and war broke out.

"Ohh... Let me think. Ethan... his name is Ethan" Tiamat said with a smile, Ethan means ether or chaos fitting for a chaos dragon.

Apep also nodded her head in agreement. She realised what her mother is implying by the name.

Just as the name left Tiamat's lips the baby trembled a little and his eyes twitched. 

"I think he likes the name," Apep said when she noticed Ethan's movements.

"Hehehe... I know he will." Tiamat said with arrogance.

Both didn't know this name will spread so far and wide it will shake the three realms of the Cardinal world and beyond.

Sometimes after both mother and daughter left the room leaving the sleeping baby on the bed. Just after they left the baby's eyes opened for the first time and the first thing they showcase was confusion.
