Early morning, James was in his room grabbing something that he may have forgotten, meanwhile, Ryan, and Rebecca were waiting for James at the Jeep, James on the other hand scavenged the whole room to find the book that he hid many years ago, as he finds it, he opened his bag to place the book inside, Rebecca who voluntarily went inside get James, Rebecca yelled out in the hallway for James to be swift about the search, James exits the room to see the disappointed face of Rebecca, they then quickly went down to the jeep, Ryan, on the other hand, was muttering to himself why James needs the book so badly. As James and Rebecca went down from the room, Ryan told them what took so long he asks, Rebecca, who replies that James took so long to find the book that he hid a long time ago, James hops on along with Rebecca, Ryan starts the engine and drove off.

On the road James scoured his bag to see the book, he sees the book and closes it, somehow for Rebecca, yelled out that she forgot her pen, Ryan disappointedly replies that it was the stupidest statement to forgot a pen, James chuckles on the back of the jeep, later on, Rebecca and Ryan started to chuckle on as well. James asked them if they are ready to be soldiers after this, Ryan, and Rebecca replied with glee that they are ready for what will be the challenge that awaits them, James then told Ryan to go faster, then Ryan speeds forward going to the designated location.

~-Greevsdale Training Court 4-~

Upon arriving in Greevsdale Training Court 4, crowds of Evatens(Everyone)stamped the entrance, Ryan mutters that James should have been more swift to grab his book, James looks around for gate 50 as they were assigned to enter there, Rebecca spots the gate, Ryan drove his jeep towards the near parking lot, Ryan parked his jeep and secures it, James grabbed his things by the bunk of the jeep along with Rebecca, she, however, brought the bow that was used during their escape, Ryan asks Rebecca of how she managed to keep the bow, she replied that she keeps on using this to kill pests back in the farm during the years, James then said that no wonder the farm was always healthy, Rebecca smirks of her proudness. Upon walking towards gate 50, the line was surprisingly short and swift, they await in line while it progresses.

Moments of waiting, the sun slowly rises from the horizon, James, Ryan, and Rebecca were the next people to be confirmed to enter the training, as the Verdoin ahead of them are done confirming, the three walks towards the confirming stand, James, Ryan, and Rebecca passes their confirming admission,  the personnel approves their entry, the three gladly went on inside, but they did not expect to see the whole place is crowded, Ryan spots the barracks of where they were assigned which is barracks 47, as they approach they still need to surpass the crowd. Upon walking for minutes, they have arrived at their barracks, the three looks at their paper to see what number of the bunk they're going to sleep on, as they locate their bunk, James put his bags and debag the things he brought, he unpacked his book and hid under his pillow, Rebecca puts her bow by side near Ryan bags, out of nowhere someone grabbed the bow, Rebecca swiftly looks of who took the bow, it was Albert that grabbed the bow, Rebecca sighed in relief, Albert draws the bow to see its durability then said how did she able to preserve the bow that she used during the escape, Rebecca replied that she has been upgrading by the time she works at the farm to hunt pests, Albert intimidated with the statement and gives the bow back, Albert walks towards at James to see what he was up to, James notices Albert approaching him so he states:

"Albert, how are you?" James greets as Albert approach.

"I'm doing good actually. Say I've never realized Reniel drafted half of the population" Albert states.

"Yeah, it was more crowded at the gates," James states the scenario.

"Hey James we'll be going to the Casual registration, you coming? oh, Albert, sup" Ryan said.

"Hello mate," Albert replied.

"I'll catch, I have many things to unpack," James said.

"Got it, don't be late, we'll reserve a space for you," Ryan said then went.

"So how was the study coming along?" Albert asked James.

"Oh yeah about that, there is something I need to talk about," James stated.

"Sure, what is it?" Albert said.

"It's this note, someone sticks it up at my bag in the jeep by yesterday before we left" James states the occasion.

"It's in Lahtin" Albert describes the language.

"Can you read it?" James asked.

"I can, a little bit, I still need to learn some, but it says 'With the sword, she seeks peace under liberty' I'd hope that's correct" Albert translates the text.

"Hmm, that was weird, how was have that to do with me?" James asked.

"I don't know, mayb..." Albert speaks but gets interrupted.

"Sir Albert, a report from Reniel, you're needed by his office" A personnel that works for Albert reports.

"Guess I have to go, see you around" Albert bids farewell.

James bids back at him, he started to stare at the note and then to look at his book, he mutters what was happening, he continues to unpack his things. Moments later after he was done unpacking, he went to where Ryan and Rebecca lining up for the Casual registration, upon arriving he sees Ryan and Rebecca waving at him marking their position, James went to them and then falls in line with them, fortunately, they were about to be next, as the Evates ahead of them is done, they each stated their name, registered, and received the uniform and some essentials, and walks back at their barracks.

The sunsets upon the horizon, James wore his sleeping suit on along with everyone. In the barracks, Ryan was brushing his teeth while Rebecca was preparing her bunk, James, on the other hand, was in deep contemplation as he holds the note, James rises and takes the book under his pillow, and turns a page, he tries to find a specific line the same with the note, Rebecca notices him reading so he called Ryan, he then tells James that you're contemplating that note again, James replies that he has to somehow find it so he can stop thinking about it, Ryan replies that you should have been lacking sleep, maybe that is the problem of James thinking way too much, James denies then suddenly spots a page that he somehow familiars with, Rebecca went down to see it, along with Ryan who just finished brushing his teeth, they look at the page, James was not only to see the familiar page, Ryan asked James if he had finished reading this, Rebecca on the other hand aswell asked that he should know all of the chapters he read back then, James replied that maybe he forgot most of the pages, Ryan however said that is not the case, the book somehow predicted the fall of Pacifica as they can somehow see the pictures of what is happening, James closes the book and hid it and said that it must be best for them not to overthink the scenario, it was too much for them to handle the mystery of the book. Then Rebecca and Ryan agree with his statement, the officer in charge yelled out to them and the fellow cadets that it will be lights out, Ryan and Rebecca swiftly go to their bunk, the lights turn off as they lay, Ryan covers himself with the blanket, Rebecca laid sideways, while James was mad awake staring to the underbelly of somevwate else's bunk. He starts to mutter about the mysteries of the book, he raises his hand to draw some markings on the specks of dust, the Verdian above him whisper to him that the book could be the original, James quietly replied to him that he had a point of the statement, then the verdian told him that to have quiet sleep as it was written on the book, after all, James agrees and thanked him, James takes through his mind that what if he was right about his statement, James slowly closes his eyes then sleep.

Morning ascent from the horizon, James, Ryan, and Rebecca were in the barracks in preparation for their roll call,  Ryan was inside the bathroom taking a shower, Rebecca was brushing her teeth, while James buttons up his uniform. As the cadets finish themselves preparing, their officer arrives in time to do the roll call, the officer ordered them to state their names upon stating, the officer begins from the back which James and the two were near the supposed end, the first cadet stated his full name, the officer points out the second one to state, after the second one, it was James's turn to state his name, James yelled out his full name, the officer asks if he's from Pacifica, James replies to approve the statement, the officer askes him if he knew somevate or someevates from Pacifica, he then stated the name of Ryan, and Rebecca by their full name, the officer intimidatingly went to Ryan to do the same, the officer hence knew his name asked if he works from afar, Ryan replied to deny the statement and to say that he works as I delivery man, the officer moves on towards Rebecca, the officer notices the bow behind her then asked why she brought a weapon to her bunk, Rebecca replied that this my secondary weapon to use, and this was used to defend herself from the attack during their escape from Pacifica, the officer was intrigued with their words, the officer yell out towards the other cadet, and so on. The roll call completes, then they went on to their first training course. In the fields James, Ryan, and Rebecca along with the fellow cadet mates were standing in attention, the officer yells out their first training objective which is to pass the obstacle course which simulates the surroundings outside and the inside environment of Evastania before they start the course they first need to do brief exercise by their officer to peruse cautiously. As the officer lends the command to their drill sergeant for the brief exercise, the sergeant ordered them to give fifty pushups, the cadets then followed the command, following completion of the exercise they then proceed to be ordered to do jumping jacks, the cadets followed as well, upon on completing their exercise, the officer then takes place of command and ordered them to line up for the course, the cadets were separated into five sections and each has eight cadets in each section, luckily James, Ryan, and Rebecca were part of section 4, the officer instructs them as he deploys basic equipment, this equipment that was deployed in each section are going to be used in the course, teamwork he instructs for them to go through the rough environments upon succeeding.

James was astonished to see the rough environments that were simulated on the course, his sweat drops as he surveys upon, the first section was appointed to be first, the first section prepares in the starting line, the only objective for the course was to arrive in the end swiftly as you can that would not exceed the time by ten minutes. As the officer prepares to signal the first section to commence the action into the course, the officer shoots the signal the first section cadets rushed towards the course, their first phase encounter was to crawl down the heavy evergreen which simulates the forests, the twist of this encounter that heavy mud, and desolate smell which are the counterpart of this encounter, as the first section passed the first phase, the second section was signal to initiate the training, while the second section tries to pass the first phase, the first section was in the second phase which simulates a river, the officer then narrates to them that they will use the equipment that was given to them to successfully cross the river if one of them  fall all of them have to go back from the start, the first section team swiftly grabs the grapple, one of them swings it to gain momentum then toss it across, it successfully hooked tightly to the other side, the first section planned to cross one by one by hanging by the rope, moments later so far for the first section three have cross out of eight, the second section then approaches the second phase, while the third section is on phase one, meanwhile James felt the heavy tantrum of the whole initiation, as he felt nervous, Reniel comes up to the observation deck, James sees him, Reniel spots James and nods his head to let him know that he can do this, James gleed and nods as his reply, James tightly grasps at his equipment. So on the third passed the first phase, section 4 where James, Ryan, and Rebecca were was about to initiate the first phase, as the officer was about to signal them, James vision became dark as the world around him became slow, and then, a voice that he was familiar of spoke:

"James," The mysterious voice called.

"What, who are you, how do you know my name?" James asked in concern.

"This is your time to shine, don't let your ruffled thought get in the way," The voice said to comfort.

(James looks around to locate the voices' source)*

"Where are you, show yourself" James demanded.

(A figure shows up behind him)*

"I'm right here James," The mysterious figure called out, then James looks at him.

(James's eyes starts to mourn its tears)*

"It's you, your alive?" James said as he sobs to see the guard that saved him years ago.

"I'm just in your mind James, I'm not alive," The guard stated.

"How are you here? I missed you" James asked as he mourns his tears.

"I am here because I see you worry. James, you didn't have to do this for me, do it for them, they are the ones that you should protect." The guard said as he comforts.

"But we went here for you" James apprehends.

"You may have done it because of me, but always remember, that I just guided you to be what you are, and to remember what you can be. It's not easy but you have to be persistent," The guard states as he aloft to the light.

"I will do it. For them," James states as he comes back to reality.

The officer signals them to initiate phase 1, James, Ryan, and Rebecca along with the other cadets rushed into, they firstly crawl down to the first phase, one of the cadets of the third section got stuck by the wire and in heavy mud, the officer yells out that the third section will repeat, meanwhile, Henry above the observation deck with Reniel mutters in the disappointment of how disgusting their situation is, as James crawls down vigorously through the heavy mud, his path was blocked by a root, so he rolled to the side to get through a clear one, Rebecca swiftly arrives first, instead of moving forward, she waits for her fellow cadets, as one of them arrives the end she assisted him to pull him out so it will be quick, then the other one came they do the same, James along with Ryan arrives at the end then assisted by their fellow cadets the officer signals the other team to peruse the first phase. section 4 advances towards the second phase, which was the river, they realize that they could not grapple on across because some near trees were broken down by one of the trainees as part of the phase, Rebecca smartly grabs her bow and winds the grapple hook and its rope, she draws the bow and observed the wind and calculates the possible momentum needed for the bow to reach, since the rope was tied at the front of the arrow she needs to pull the arrow at the right angle near the tree to somehow tie itself, as she moves slightly to angel herself, she aims her bow up, then releases the arrow, she sharply watches the arrow to see if it's far enough fromthe tree, as she felt that it is the good time to tuck the rope, she pulls the arrow down, the arrow turns to the left since it has enough momentum to move forward, the arrow twirled around the tree and locks itself tightly as the hook holds on to the tree, Rebecca then grabs the equipment and voluntarily went first to cross, she hanged on while the other observes how, as Rebecca reached the end, she went to the tree to reinforce it more after tying another rope from the beginning, she tucks the bow to check its durability, Rebecca gives the approval to cross, Ryan persisted to let the other cadets move, Reniel in the observation deck intimidatly observes the teamwork of the section, James and Ryan was waited by their fellow cadets, as they were assisted to stand, Rebecca losen the ropes then retrives it so it can be used in the next phase.

On the third phase of the course is a wall, which the officer precedes them to climb the wall, the third phase simulates the mountain or a cliff which the cadets must learn how to climb and to go over it. the second section most of its members failed to head on over, which were about to go back to the start, upon then Ryan had an idea, which is to stack pile, as they pile up they are going to hook up on each brim of the wall, James agrees with the idea, one of the cadets named Keir Coll volunteered to assist on boosting them up, Ryan went on to be assisted by the cadet and then gets boosted and hooks on to the first brim, Ryan went on ahead to climb further and hooks on to the other one, Ryan stopped where the last brim was to assist, the second cadet named Kent Oliver, went to be boosted, grabs on the hooked rope and climbs to approach Ryan, Ryan required another cadet to boost him a bit to reach the peak so he can assist on the others to climb, as Oliver approaches Ryan made a space for Oliver, Oliver grasps on the second hooked rope, then Ryan told him that to bare for a bit uppon assisting him to climb up the peak, Ryan climbs over the Oliver, and reaches the peak, he then signals the others that their good to climb, Rebecca went on, then the others till James went last, James was boosted by Keir but stops at the first hook to let Keir grabs his foot to climb, as Keir grabs his foot, James lifts his foot to a point that Keir can hook on, James continues on climbing towards the second one, James stopped where the second hook was as he lets Oliver move ahead, like earlier he did the same, but he only adjusted a bit so he can let Keir have space, James was assisted to climb on the peak, however, he let his foot down as Keir grabs onto it, Keir was pulled and the whole fourth section completed the third phase. The officer and Reniel were fascinated about the teamwork that has been portrayed, Albert of which is also observing says:

"The teamwork of those three is flawless. I'm not sure but I think they have done this before, just saying" Albert complements the actions of the three.

"Indeed,  I just hope they pass all of it" Nicole suddenly spoke out of nowhere.

"Howcome you agree with his statement?" Henry strictly asked.

"I mean look at them, we barely see some teamwork in ours" Nicole points out.

"She does have a point, Well they're skillful once it comes to teamwork, but I'm worried if their other ability is a flaw" Reniel apprehends the argument by agreeing to the statement of Nicole.

"Sir, have you seen section four of barracks 47, doing a good job?" The Officer called out.

"Yes I did," Reniel affirms the question.

"Wow, I haven't seen such teamwork in my life" The Officer stated his opinion.

Reniel prepares a horse, he ordered Henry to be with him in the next phase which is the final. All of the cadets must manage to hit the targets as they sprint swiftly enough to reach the finish line, as they move in, a table can be seen with weapons, the cadets along with James, Ryan, and Rebecca grabs some, however, they only have one shot each, so they then sprinted on their objective, they spot their first target, some of the cadets named Anne Petrosa and John Heldrid shoots the first targets successfully, then went to another, Ryan spots another and barely hits it due how far it is, the next one was above falling, so it gained momentum to make it hardly to be hit, Rebecca closely shoots it and hit it as well, as the sequence peruse, James has the final shot left, they could not spot the final target, sooner in their sprint, the target was a hostage situation, James slows down while the others sprinted on, James focuses calmly to hit the supposed target, time slows down, he closes his eyes, and opens one aiming at it, he exhaled to release the tantrum and pulls the trigger, the target was a hit, James then yelled out to alarm the officer that all targets are hit, so he catches up with the others, as he catches up one of the cadets complimented him, and so for them reaching the finish line.

The officer in the finish line stated their time, which was eight minutes, and forty-seven seconds point eighty-eight [08:47:88], they did not however break any record as the officer stated but ended to have a very good job, and very good performance, the officer tells them to head to their next course. The whole section complimented James, Ryan, and Rebecca about what they did as they approach their next course.

As they arrive at their next course which is the pit where cadets have to fight three rounds against other fellow cadets, which is to train of how and to learn self-defense, and to possibly learn to attack the enemy that attacks, so the cadets may know the situation correctly once they are in the battlefield according to the officer's briefing earlier. Surprisingly, Reniel along with Henry arrived at the phase on time, the purpose of the two to come here to the pit, was to see how good James's section good in fighting, Henry starts to contemplate about viewing James as someone important, as Section four arrives at the phase, the officer in charge of the course calls them out for a debriefing, upon following the said command, they stand in attention to listen out, they position themselves with the other sections who waited, the officer demonstrates to them the best way to tackle an enemy, the officer tells them to use of one of the basics, which is first the body positioning moves, which is to lift the hand from the ground and assumes a fighter's stance. The officer holds his hands high to protect his head and face. His fists are clenched, but relaxed. His elbows are close to his body, and his weight is evenly distributed on both feet, creating a stable base. He is light on his feet with his knees slightly flexed to allow quick movement in any direction as this was demonstrated upon the cadets, the next steps were on avoiding the Inverdellins biting the host which of most to infect it, so the officer teaches them to use the chin jab, it makes it effective at producing a knockout or even a long duration of stun, that by forcing the chin straight upwards, enormous pressure is put on the cervical vertebrae of the neck which is most the secondary weakness as it will take the Inverdellin to heal very slowly. This strike is capable of potentially killing an Inverdellin if you hit hard enough. The second move is the Stomp kick, The goal of this move was to break the Inverdellin's knee by kicking it backward or sideways against the natural direction of movement of the joint(hence of the host to be Verdian). The other variation of this technique involved stomping with heavy boots against the top of the shin bone (just under the knee cap) and scraping all the way down to the foot. If done with enough force, the stomp would also break the fragile metatarsal bones of the foot which could briefly make the Inverdellin lost its balance. The important step of it all is how to escape the Bear Hug of an Inverdellin, the bear hug is often use by Inverdellins to lock on the host they prey on to infect it easily, but it is known to have a tactic to escape the bear hug, the officer tells them that to drop the weight down swiftly by mimicking a fast squat, this immediately lowers your center of gravity, making it much harder for the host to be picked up or moved, with the feet wider than hip-width apart, shift the hips to the side, so you have a direct path to the Inverdellins' groin with the hand, using an open palm, striking it hard and fast until its grip releases, the Inverdellins of which has their third sensitive part located in the groin, an organ that pumps the Gastonian fluid throughout the host's body or in which the Heart of the Gastonin, but upon potentially damaging it, the Inverdellin will heal the Heart until the main heart of the host gets damaged or destroyed. Then lunge forward slightly and throw the elbow back to the Ineverdellin's belly, turning to face the Inverdellin as to do so, neither to run if possible nor continue the assault by destroying the heart of the host. 

The officer completes one of the basic moves and tactics to tackle down an Inverdellin to be specific, the officer lines up and alternates each section the will oppose one another, the first one to fight were section four and section 1, Ryan was held to be first to fight the opposing opponent, the instructors then let Ryan and the opponent where body armor, as the armors are fitted they then started to fight, Ryan puts his hands up high as he followed the instructions earlier, the opponent did as well, Ryan charges towards the opponent, the opponent did the stomp kick which successfully made Ryan tumble down, the officer gives the win to section one, up next was Keir, he was up against another opponent of section 1, the results were the same, as he was jab down by the chin, and lastly was Oliver, currently, section one was on the lead, however, if Oliver can successfully defeat the opponent they could end up in a draw, as lasts rounds for the officers are chances for the losing team, if the losing team was successful on the last round, there will be a fourth round, which is the stalemate section, if the losing team lost the winning team wins, but if the losing team won the stalemate section, they will end up in a draw, the particular reason for this, the opposed team of each must defeat them by three wins in a row, if the losing team won the first round, or second, they will still do the stalemate section if they won on the final round. Now Oliver was hoped for section four to win the last round, as they finish wearing the body armor, they started the round, Oliver carefully stance as they circle with the opponent, the opponent throws a chin jab but Oliver was able to dodge, Oliver in quick time proceeded to grab the opponents arm and does a stomp kick that made the opponent fall, Oliver then jin jabs the opponent, making the opponent lay on the ground making section one won, now they proceeded to the statement section, James was picked for the round, when, unfortunately, James's opponent was a bodybuilder, James was scared as his sweat began to drip, the instructor helped him to wear body armor, he looks up to Reniel seeing the doubts of Reniel's face, James looks at his friends and gives the sign that his going to be fine, as the round began, James began to stance as well his opponent, James throws a jab towards the opponent and it was not effective, the opponent grabs his arm and swings him around, the opponent lets go throwing James and hits against the wall, James groans in pain but he still stand even in pain, he throws another punch but the opponent punches him to the stomach and knocks him back to the wall making everyone reacted eagerly, some started to fell sorry, James falls into the ground grunting, James did not surrender, and stands up again, the opponent grabs him and tosses him way up and falls down, James was in deep pain, he attempts to rise but shows little chances for him to win, Henry dissapointedly sees James in pain, Rebecca and Ryan along with the fellow cadets cheers him, some tells him to surrender, James can hear their voices as it echoes down, James sees the guard looking at him then looks back, James rises slowly, the opponent approaches James, until James's eyes whitens and somehow have gained energy, the opponent grabs James at the back, as the opponent slowly lifting James, James looks at the opponent and smiles at him, the opponent  gets shocked in what he saw, James then grabs the hand of the opponent and spins around it, he spins on to break the opponent's grip, as he spins he kicks the opponent by the chin and lets go, James surprisingly energized stances as the opponent choked, the opponent then angirily charges at James, James slids down and kicks the back of the knee of the opponent that causes him to collapse, James looks back then flips towards the opponent, he then kicks the neck from the back, causing the opponent to collapse, he stands as the opponent completely loses,  the crowd around him cheered for what he did, Reniel was astonished however, he contemplates about the actions that James showed.

 James's eyes were drawn back to normal, sees the defeated opponent, and then faints. Ryan, Rebecca, along with section four cadets went in to go towards James, Ryan holds James, the officer then sees James unconscious from the deck, and calls in for medical backup, James hears the echoes of cries from Ryan, Rebecca, Oliver, Keir, and the cadets of section four. 

James slowly wakes up, and slowly his visions became clear and can hear the voices of Ryan, and Rebecca, as James wakes up completely, Ryan notices James waking up, James was wrapped with bandages around his head, the Doctor who took care of him was called by Rebecca to check the vitals of James if it is stable, Ryan tells him to relax that everything is fine, James rises slowly and holds head as he feels the headache, James then asks what happened, then looks at his arm to see a familiar scar.
