Gu Lin Fang stood at his entrance and watched the now active streets silently, his eyes twitching from time to time as he watched the passing citizens.

The really powerful ones come as guests and might even be pulled into the clan through benefits or marriage.

The Gu clan's founding patriarch of back then, according to the system bio, had been a commoner, one of those who rewarded for his meritorious service and gained a Noble status, even the clan cultivation method was a reward from that period.

Over the years, the clan had been through several rise and falls due to the civil unrest, but they managed to survive and became one of the minor clans under the {Sun Desert Faction}.

Added with the fact that they had been hit hard again a few days ago, the Major clans of faction like the Kong clan won't even be bothered about the infighting in the state.

Most likely the Clan's resources and lands would have been shared, Gu Lin Fang wasn't interested in the old place anymore. Instead he wants something else that can bring him toe to toe with the major clans of the {Sun desert faction}.

As long as they were a part of the main clans in the faction, having a place in the high table, the Clan's business would become the faction's business. Any problem faced would be shared by the high table, unless it's an official duel between two clans.

The Sects on the other hand, had cities under their jurisdiction and is always seeking to find a way to swallow clans or destroy them.
