Bad Idea

Lia shivered as her group stepped down the corridor into the tomb which descended with a staircase. Only after a few minutes did they reach the first floor. Only Lia jumped at the sheer amount of corpses. If any were to rise just a few would be a horror show. She quickly turned to run up the stairs. "Nope, i told you this is a bad idea!"

BOOM*

Lia's heart skipped a beat as her face paled, not even halfway up the stair case and she was faced with her groups consequences. The stone door to this tomb, it slammed shut.. They were stuck in here with many undead possibility of hundreds of undead even.

Panicking she looked down at the worried faces of her companions. Of course its dark, but Dale had the bright idea to create a miniature sun for some torch effects.. No pun intended of course..

"Dale was that supposed to happen?" She looked at the wizard quizzically, did he forget to mention it? She only felt more panic when his answer was a frown and a slow shake of his head. That said Rena cocked her head to the side, shushing the party. She heard something faintly.

There was a deep inhale as if the tomb came alive. The walls trembled lightly, cravks jutting across the veiling with a deep rumble that echoed from the tomb. The party engaged their battle mode. Rena drew her dual short swords, whilst Dale readied a fireball and Lia knocked 2 arrows. "What the hell?!"

They heard whooshing cracks spread across the corridors heading straight for them. Stepping forwards, Dale readied to blast when all the torches along the walls whooshed up with green fire with crimson licking at its ends. Dale expelled his light with the flick of his wrist. "Oh, We are not in a low tier dungeon.." Both Rena and Lia gave him a look of 'Ya think?!'.

At least there were no enemies yet, that's when Lia noticed a very scary troublesome fact that was becoming reality fast.. "Guys.. the..t..walls.." Both looked with confusion, only for Dales face to be wrought with utter horror. The walls of corpses were moving, blue fire sparking in their eyes. He inhaled sharply, rising his hand to begin his spell casting!

###

Cold breeze slammed against a throne, old and rusted of centuries of dis-use. A skeleton hangs by threads to stay together, the wind rocking it. Its iron crown jagged with spikes slid to the right just as the skeleton. Somehow not toppling off the spinal neck.

Purple flames mixed with green and licks of red sparked from the breeze, bones covered and draped in a shadowy black. Wisp of void smoke rise continuously from the skeletons body. drapes covering all but its head. Yet there in those empty sockets a spark of crimson blue came into being. The skeleton sat there for awhile. The tomb rumbling to life around it. Its creaking bodies shifted as the skeleton looked down at its hand staring for a moment, before it looked up. Scanning the room, opening its jaws and taking what sounded like a deep inhale. Shadows consolidated around him, whislt flaming eyes beamed into the darkness.

Finally, Duth had awakened. An anger raged within him, likely to affect his future choices. Regardless of the undead innate suppression of emotions, the dead still have them. Unfortunately this brings out extreme emotions from the dead. This is why the undead are so unbelievably aggressive, whilst the dead themselves within the realm of the dead did not have this innate suppression. Once given a body from bones, or flesh that decayed, more so known as the undead it was received. Likely by the magic that kept them alive or their own emotions that festered for a long time. Most souls are very old, with many new ones being buried under the ancients more out of protection.

That said, he once was content, but now wraith scorched red his eyes over the soul blue fire. His body trembled which is when he noticed his predicament, or perhaps his price. 'Reborn a lich huh? And whats this.. Oh right the... i.. cant remember him.. the entity said it was a 'system' whatever that is.. A parting gift to me i suppose?' He couldn't recall the god. Well, only the look and his words that echoed across the realm without resistance. 'Ha who cares. Im..alive.. no undead.. a lich. yes. Lich Duth. Sounds strange, but cant change that can we? Now lets explore this ..'system' of mine.'
