The Gomez Family House.

Chloe's POV.

"Wake up Chloe! You have to get ready for school." My sister's chirpy voice drawled as she shook me violently.

I groaned and snuggled further into my bed out of her reach.

"I'll be up in a minute" I croaked.

"Chloe!!" My mum yelled.

"Just give me five more minutes..." I cried back and covered my head with the blanket.

I was anything but an early bird, my mum and sis were but that's not the worst part, they rarely had naps. Terrible right? I had two psychopaths living with me cause how does one not take naps??

A cold breeze hit me and my toes curled up immediately -my blanket was snatched from me. My eyes shot up to glare at the perpetrator. "Kira, if you don't want today to be your funeral, I suggest you give me back my blanket."

She smirked and feigned thinking. "Hmm... Nah, I'll pass." She stuck out her tongue. Her cheerful laugh filled the air as she ran out of the room.

Mad by the fact that my sleep was cut short I stood up with a warcry. "I'm coming for you!" I yelled and ran after her, only to be stopped by the amazing aroma of fries and chicken.

"Good morning mum... Dad" I forgot about my sister and took a handful of fries and dumped it in my mouth.

"Chloe, that's disgusting. You haven't brushed your teeth yet." Little miss Kira reminds me.

My dad shook his head in disapproval and my mum cringed. "Honey, you should know men like their women hygienic." My mum scolded and returned her attention to the fries.

"This is why she doesn't have a boyfriend yet." My dad teased me.

"Dad I told you already, I am not interested in dating." I took a bite from my chicken and joined him at the table.

"Liar!" Kira rolled her eyes as she chewed her fries.

"What do you mean by that?" I raised my eyebrow at the 5'0 demon.

"Everyone knows about you guys." She pointed out, her shoulder-length brown hair moved around as she moved animatedly.

"What?" My heart thumped, that can't be possible... right?

"Mhm, no matter how hard you and Jordan try to hide it, we all know you guys have a thing for each other." She said in a duh tone, her green eyes filled with amusement.

"There's actually someone out there that likes her in a romantic way?" My mum was shocked, offensive!

"Yes, but he hasn't grown the balls to ask her out officially yet." She shook her head.

"Oh my, that's not how you do these things." My father dropped his newspaper and looked at me. "You see if a guy claims he likes you but doesn’t do the bare minimum.. red flag.”

"He's right, Chloe. If a guy can’t define your relationship, trust me he’s a red flag. I mean it’s quite obvious he wants to catch some fun with you and avoid all the responsibilities. " My mum agreed.

"Dad! Mum! Kira doesn't know what she's talking about." I tried to end the discussion.

"I do know what I'm talking about." She waved with an eye roll.

"Shut up?" I threw a fry at her.

"Mum! Chloe's attacking me with objects!"

"They're just fries, honey." My mum dismissed her and I grinned at her puffed cheeks.

"It's getting late, but I promise to teach you the do's and don'ts about relationships when I get back from work." He downed the rest of his coffee in one go and stood up.

"Have a great day at work dad." Kira smiled at him.

He kissed her forehead. "Pay attention in class, kids."

"Bye honey, stay safe." My mum gave him a kiss and Kira gagged. "I am too young for this!"

My dad chuckled. "You're fifteen."

"Exactly dad, exactly!"

He shook his head and left, he was the neighbourhood police officer.

"Chloe, you have exactly 30 mins to get ready for school. Go." My mum commanded me.

It's been two weeks since we last saw each other. Oh my God, I need to get to school as early as possible. I dropped my fries and hurried up the stairs.

"What has gotten into her?" I heard my mum ask Kira.

"She probably realised she'll get to see Jordan, it's been two weeks hasn't it?" Kira replied.

"Shut up, Kira!" I yelled as I ascended the stairs.

I attend a private high school, Millizen High. Getting ready itself wasn't a hassle because all I needed to do was put on my uniform. The biggest problem was my socks. I swear those things have legs of their own because how do I always have mismatched pairs?

I stared at my reflection in the mirror, my excited green eyes stared back at me. I needed to calm down but I simply couldn't. I have to look extra good today. I combed my black hair in different styles, unable to decide which one to go for.

"MY GOD JUST DECIDE ALREADY."

"Fucking hell!" The comb fell to the ground as I jumped at the sudden intrusion.

"We are going to be late." Kira stood there crossed her arms and tapped her foot impatiently.

"Get out." I shut the door in her face and locked it.

I ended up with a low ponytail, sprayed some perfume and grabbed a small mint box, fresh breath was a must. I grabbed my notes and threw them in my bag, glanced at my room hoping I didn't forget anything and stepped out.

"Done!" I announced as I climbed down the stairs.

"Took you long enough!" Kira yelled back from the living room.

I ignored her and grabbed my food, my mum already had it packed for me. I opened the lid, the aroma made me drool. Already had some earlier but I love fries and chicken so much.

"Food is bae. Mum, you make the best food, I love you. And I love you too food." I cooed softly to the half-eaten chicken in my hands.

She laughed as she took her apron off. "I'll be ready in a few minutes, you guys better not forget anything." She said 'guys' but pointed at me.

"That's Chloe's speciality," Kira replied as she got up.

I scowled at her, unable to respond because of the food in my mouth. She did a look over with pursed lips.

"You took all that time to look..." She inhaled.

My brows creased with concern, did I look bad? My heart pounded and my stomach felt queasy with nerves. Did I still have time to change how I looked?

Her stern expression relaxed as she broke into a smile. "OMG relax! You look good, well done. I'm sure Jordan would be happy to see you." She gave me a thumbs up and I released a shaky exhale as my nerves settled.

"I told you, it's not Jordan."

"Is too."

"Is not!"

"Alright, guys, enough bickering you two. It's time for school." My mum jiggled her keys in front of us.
