CHAPTER 6

The man whom went to the home of Alexander explained that because of Hades’ adultery, Persephone was enraged and is now seeking revenge. When Alexander asked why, the answer was quite simple, Hades has vowed that he will not have any affairs with mortals, and yet this happened. He then explained that because of Persephone’s rage, Alexander needs to move out and try his luck as a hero. Because as a hero, he wouldn’t experience the rages of the Queen because she will just wait until the fates have decided to exterminate him. And that triggered, Alexander. He pointed out that no matter what this man will say, he will not go into a hero life. Why would he accept a fate that has nothing but sorrows a despair? He recalled that every hero or every demigod of the past has suffered a lot as a hero or demigod. And another reason on why he isn’t coming is because of his mother, it was only natural to bring his mother up into this topic since Alexander’s grandmother and mother are both defenseless. If a monster suddenly showed up, what would they do?

“But we got it all covered. Your father has ordered his minions to guard them once you leave. Isn’t that assuring?” the man said.

Alexander smirked, “Why would I trust a man who left us? Why would I trust a man who left us and brought this shitty fate on us?!” Alexander snapped.

“Your fate is-”

“You and that damn father or deities have no rights to tell what my fate is! Because –”

“Your fate has been decided since the day the King of Monsters has been sealed and imprisoned! You can’t escape neither you can hide from it! All you need to do is to accept it and your loved ones will be safe!”

The two bickered until Jane had enough. She slammed her fist on to the frame of the chair and both Alexander and the man silenced. Jane looked at the man,

“Remember that this is still my house, I would not allow you to yell at my son like that,” says Jane then he looked at Alexander “And you, Alexander. If you don’t want to see me dead, then please accept your fate because it is not a thing you can escape from.” She added then tears suddenly trickled down her face.

She can’t help it, the fact that her son has to leave in order to protect her and risk his own life is just too much for her. She wants him to stay, but the rage of Persephone can’t be ignored, she will do her best to slaughter them or make them suffer. Alexander needs to go this instance and it can’t be delayed anymore. Jane then asked the man that she will be the one explaining the situation to Alexander and he nodded. She then explained it all to Alexander. She said that the disaster after disaster will come as long as he does not leave this kingdom. No matter how high the pride of Alexander is, she told him that his pride won’t able to pay for the lives that will be lost if doesn’t leave this kingdom, and she includes herself. Alexander then told here that if he’s here with her, she will be safe. But Jane disagreed and told him that Persephone will destroy this kingdom if he doesn’t accept his fate, he told him that if he’s being so arrogant, then he must prepare to see a ocean of corpses that will eventually come just in a few days. Jane cleared it out that Persephone won’t be the one to do this, the fates will be the one to initiate a kingdom-wide execution. As long as Alexander hasn’t accepted his destiny, horrible things will continue to happen. She then told him that the cyclops incident was just the beginning, and there’s a lot worse than that monster. So, if Alexander does not want innocent people to suffer and die, then he must go and accept the hero’s fate that is always being given to those who have the blood of the gods and chosen heroes. And Alexander realized everything, he can’t let innocent people die, but he also can’t leave his mother behind. He then remembered what the man has said, that his father will provide them protection that will protect them at any cost. It pains him to say, but he has no choice. Thousands of lives are at stake here, and if he doesn’t submit to the fates then all of them will die including him, his grandmother and his beloved mother. He has no choice. He then looked at the man in front of him,

“Tell me, where should I go?” Alexander asked and it brought a smile to the face of the man.

He then happily explained it to him. He said that Alexander needs to go at the center of Delos which is at Greece. And there he would find something with wings. The man did not say what that is but he said that it has wings. He then told Alexander that the thing with wings will wait for him for 4 days, and if he doesn’t arrive in that appointed time, then Alexander will have to travel hundreds of kilometers before he reaches his destination and it would be a bad thing since they are racing against time. The man told Alexander that he needs to leave tomorrow morning. And this time, there’s no turning back. Despite having doubts, Alexander decided to do this and it is the only way to guarantee safety for his mother.

“How will I go to Delos? It’s too far and I don’t have any ways of tranpor-”

“We’ve got it all covered, follow these instructions and you will safely reach the shores of Delos.” Says the man then gave Alexander detailed instructions.

The man said a few more things to Alexander as reminders and he gathered it all up inside his head and made sure that he forgot nothing.

“Well then, I must take my leave since I will be attending meeting at Mount Olympus. I’m glad that our agreement has been luckily discussed properly and you’ve successfully accepted your fate,” says the man then walked outside in a rather cheerful matter.

Alexander accompanied him to the door and the man looked at Alexander once more,

“I expect great things from you, and I know you won’t disappoint me or the Olympians. Make your mother and father proud. Good luck, demigod son of Hades!” says the man then he suddenly disappeared with a bright light.

And it has now been set, Alexander will come across the sea and will now lead the life opposite to what he was hoping for. He has now accepted the fate of a hero, the fate of a demigod and the fate of the Son of the Unseen.
