Curiosity can kill a cat. Elena was always thought by her father not to put her nose too much into everyone's problems.

I followed my father's teaching. I always keep a proper distance to avoid unnecessary attention that can bring danger to myself or my family.

But I can't help to investigate the background of Jin. He's powerful enough to kill the demon bear in mere three seconds.

Demon bears can be killed by 5 knights alone in the past but due to sudden changes and the rampaging of demons, they become powerful that it takes almost 15 knights to kill them.

But Jin alone can easily kill it.

The swordsmanship the way he fights is normal. All knights know that kind of move.

What amazed me most is his power. Did he imbue magic on his sword to kill the demon bear? No, it's impossible but if he did, everyone including me should notice it beside his sword will shine slightly. And he didn't say any chant so it's impossible.

But when I asked the magicians and Captain Klein about it, they can't give me a proper answer.

People who are born with a magic core can feel mana. If someone wants to enhance the power ratio of their weapon, they will imbue mana on it by saying a specific chant.

Our family was known for being cautious. Generation after generation, we didn't face dangerous trouble against other nobles. Yes, we sometimes fight those noble but it's just your normal verbal fight that will not gather the attention of other noble families and the royal family.

The Royal Faction consists of powerful noble from Count to Duke. Though the noble faction constantly receives help from the crown prince, it's still not enough to rival the Royal Faction as they only consist of Baron to Marquess.

The dukes are the princes and princesses of the Narva Kingdom that tried to steal the seat of the Crown Prince.

Unlike any other monarchy, the next heir is the prince or princess. And it ignores the fact that if you are the eldest prince, you already secure the throne once the king passes the crown.

The King chooses his heir according to the ability of his children. Whether it's a prince or a princess, as long as you perform better than your siblings, the king will proclaim you a crown prince or crown princess.

There is a law in the kingdom that no one should kill his or her siblings for succession. This is to avoid the princes and princesses killing each other which resulted in a peaceful succession of the crown.

Though outside of their social standing, the king still cares for his family that's why all of them are living in the royal palace. But the king can't change the fact that some of his children want to live on his/her own territory and castle.

That's why when they were still young, the princes and princesses were thought to be kind to each other and to look out for each other no matter what happen.

No one can ignore the fact that they still envy the crown prince, there are also princes and princesses who support the crown prince and don't join any faction.

For the Narva Kingdom, a family is still a family.

That's I, Elena is lucky to born and raised in the Narva Kingdom.

The highest status that the noble family can achieve is Marquess since the Duke is exclusive only to princes and princesses only.

My father's name is Albert, and his social status is Earl, just like a king, he will proclaim his heir soon before he retires.

I have two older brothers which means I'm the youngest child of Albert.

Good thing, my two brothers didn't fight for the position of being head of our family. Since our family also have a vassal from Viscount down to Baron.

And I, Elena, am 18 years old and currently studying at Riverdale Elite Academy as a student.

I love magic and practice swordsmanship. But my affinity is for healing only.
