Chapter One: Awakening Ceremony

Raymond browsed once more through the system window. Apparently, it can be called. After plenty of attempts to summon it, it can be called "System." Crazy, but Raymond's guesses were inspired by the books he had read.

Finally, Raymond was reading all the way through the description of Chapter One. The requirements that he had read before, and the previous description were only a summary. Raymond should understand more of them first.

Chapter One: Awakening Ceremony

After awakening a # Grade Talent, you will receive your first skill from the same ceremony. You will be tasked with improving your grasp of the Talent you have and will come to the academy after a month.

The month will decide if the student is qualified to be supported by the village. If the student couldn't grasp more of their Talent, the village would put them on the waiting list where their studies would be extended for two years for them to learn more about it.

---

Raymond nodded as he tried to understand every word of the contents he had read.

It was amusing, but not to the point that he was surprised that the premise of Chapter One would focus on the academy.

However, he should not jump to a conclusion. This was just the beginning of the description. He would have to read more.

Raymond read a censored part of the description. Even with how curious he was, he only dismissed it and continued reading the remaining texts. It was the final, after all.

---

Chapter One will cover five years. Three years before the awakening, one year for the academy, and another one year after the academy. Hence, it will end when you are 17 years old.

But in this chapter, what needs to be learned are relationships, affairs, and monopoly. It would be beneficial for you if you had the three skills, but if you are unable to have all the three, learn the last skill, monopoly.

By monopolizing things around you, you will achieve more in life. Achieving things in life is what the purpose of this life is. You are destined for greatness, but you should work for it.

---

Raymond sighed at the final text in the description. How should he react to it? Was it challenging or confusing? In fact, he didn't know since all of it was nothing to him.

He wasn't excited by the contents of the description, as it wasn't that helpful at all. What was more useful were the memories he had from the day before. The memories from the plot combined to form his core memory.

There were plenty of feelings he felt that rushed through his system from remembering the scornful moments in this memory. It wasn't memorable, but it should not be forgotten. Even if the plot could be changed, he won't be complacent.

What was in his memories from the plot was friendship. It was the relationship he had built since childhood. However, he speculated that he wasn't the only one who had a great future if successful.

He speculated that there may be one or more than one who is destined to be great in the future. That was why the first chapter prioritized relationships first.

The sign was for Mission # 2. It was clear that he had to make some preparations for the future. And then, the second sign was vague. He still doesn't know what's supposed to happen after five years.

The range of his knowledge only stopped at the first five years; the next years were not included, so he knew that this was a sign to prepare things.

"Hmm... the affairs. To be more specific, it should be political matters."

There was political involvement in Chapter One as well. Since he had some challenges, crashing into powerful people was one of them. The power comes from politics, meaning, the higher officials in the village.

There were village elders. Most commonly called "Lord" by the village men, they were not the only ones who had political power; there were merchants as well.

Apparently, they have influence over politics too.

"I guess I should also note that one." Raymond gritted his teeth as he remembered one thing from his memories.

Two years from now, Raymond will have a fight with a rich kid because said rich kid bullied his childhood friends, Anna and Arthur.

It wasn't supposed to be a fight, but since that kid was clumsy in a slightly awkward manner, he tripped and had wounds on his legs. Because that rich kid was the son of a powerful person in the village, this was used to push them to the corners.

Absurd, right? Because it was only in this manner that they suffered. His father was cut from the hunting job and his family was not supplied with fertilizer. That made their family useless to the clan.

And as absurd as it is as well, this family covered that up from the other officials, making them look like lazies. And so, they were on the edge of being kicked out of the clan.

Well... it's only happened since that kid asked his over-loving father to punish them. And how stupid his father was, that it all happened.

But Raymond didn't have the will to stop it. He had a card prepared in case that happened in the future. And he is willing to hide it from anyone.

Finally, the monopolizing skill to be learned from this chapter.

Well, it was almost certainly because Raymond should keep the information he obtained in order to exert control over others. That was why this injecting plot section was very useful to him. Even with the challenges, he still has advantages.

Raymond smiled, then stood up from his seat. He still had three years to enjoy as most of the challenges happened in the 4th year of Chapter One, the starting of the ceremony, and the academy.

"I should practice learning how to control mana. It kinda sucked that mana was the most prominent energy in this world, but eventually, it will turn into my MP since I am not normal like others."

Apparently, Raymond had a system like a game. He didn't need to focus on widening his mana coverage since MP, will be presented as his main magic power.

What was it? Well, it was only beneficial for him since he could get rewards from it and expand it without any difficulties.
