The Beginning

One's dignity may be mocked and cruelly battered, but it would still be intact if they refuse to surrender. These have always been the comforting words Jinwoo uses whenever he was bullied. Jinwoo has always been bullied by his peers, it started in kindergarten and it never stopped even after he became an Adult. Though he was constantly being bullied, he kept living believing that one day things would change and whoever that is the master or god responsible for the world would bring him justice.

"What took you so long?" Madam Balaam screamed at Jinwoo.

"Sorry, the traffic was bad." Jinwoo has always been the one to apologize for everything.

"I don't need your sorry excuse, there is an order you have to deliver to this address." She gave the food to Jinwoo and he left immediately. Madam Balaam would not admit it but Jinwoo is the only work that has stayed with her the longest and put up with her shitty attitude. Jinwoo went outside and breathed a sigh of exhaustion before boarding his bike and driving away with the delivery pizza. He started working as a delivery man for Madam Balaam fast food after he graduated from high school. Jinwoo was a very intelligent student, one of the reasons he endured his school life of bully was the hope of getting a good job after school and working his way to the top. Too bad none of his dream came true, his parents died after high school and his uncle took everything his father had and left Jinwoo to fend for himself. With no support, he decided to start working and save up for his college fund no matter how long it takes. He has worked for Madam Balaam for four years but he was nowhere near the money he needed, but he was determined to achieve his goal.

Jinwoo noticed how luxuriousness of the neighborhood he arrived in. He went to the apartment that ordered the delivery, it was the top floor of 70 story skyscraper.

"I guess being a delivery man has its perks." He muttered in the elevator as he went up to the penthouse. As a delivery man, Jinwoo has had the opportunity to see a lot of beautiful houses and pretty faces. Once he had delivered food to a party house and the girls didn't try to hide their nakedness, for a virgin like Jinwoo whose only experience was the one he got from the internet, seeing the girl's bosom was a great payment for his job. He smiled as he remembered the scene and pray that he would one day be lucky as he was that day.

"Ting Tong." He pressed the doorbell and waited for the door to open. The moment the door opened, his ears were assaulted with loud music blaring out of the apartment. Jinwoo flinched but he didn't show it because this wasn't his first time experiencing such.

"What a handsome delivery man you are." The pretty girl that open the door said as she held on to Jinwoo for balance. She feels of alcohol and it didn't take Jinwoo much time to figure out that everyone inside would be drunk just like the girl.

"Thanks, I would be needed my payment." Jinwoo is a man of sheer will, even with a beautiful girl throwing herself at him, it wouldn't make him forget his payment. He knew Madam Balaam would take the money out of his salary if he failed to get paid.

"My bad, you can come inside for the money." The girl turned and went back inside and Jinwoo swallowed as he saw her round backside. "On a second thought," the girl stopped and turned back to Jinwoo. If she wasn't drunk she would have noticed Jinwoo checking her out. "you can get your payment through other means." The girl winked at him. Jinwoo understood what she was saying and he would lie if he said he wasn't tempted.

"No ma'am, I would prefer you pay me with cash." He knew that his life goal is more important than a minute of pleasure.

"You are not fun." The girl pouted.

"What is taking you so long?" A male voice came through before a young man appeared and wrapped his arms around the girl's body. He was wearing a nice suit that screamed how rich he was and Jinwoo envied him for being handsome on top of it.

"It's the delivery man, he is being such a bore."

"Why are you boring my girl?" The young man turned to Jinwoo and everything seemed to stop. Jinwoo froze as he look at the young man staring back at him with a knowing smile.

"Who do we have here, Jinwoo?" The young man called and slowly walked up to him.

"You are mistaken?" Jinwoo stuttered and tried to leave the apartment but it was too late someone else entered and locked the door behind him.

"Hyun, it's Jinwoo." The young man said to the one that just entered. Hyun grabbed Jinwoo's shoulder and turned him around to see his face.

"Wow, it's our Jinwoo. When was the last time we saw each other." Hyun spoke like he has just seen his long-lost friend.

"You guys must be mistaken." Jinwoo tried to leave but he was stopped.

"Come on, are you not happy you met your friends?" Hyun asked smiling brightly. He is tall and Jinwoo is just half his size so it was easy for him to hold Jinwoo back.

"Ji-hoon, what are you doing? Why haven't you invited him to drink with us?" Hyun said to the young man that first recognized Jinwoo.

"He refused."

"You were not being persuasive enough." Hyun said and pushed Jinwoo to join them. Jinwoo resisted but it was no use. Hyun pushed Jinwoo to the living room and there he was united with his old schoolmates that made his life a living hell.

"Guys, look at who we found?" Hyun screamed and everyone voiced their surprise and happiness for seeing the old schoolmate they used to release their burden. Jinwoo thought for the first time that life is not fair and that whoever is in charge of the universe is either neglecting him or perhaps on their side.
