[11:00 A.M],

Bureau of Exorcism,

New Chrisland City.

Two males were seen furiously walking towards The Medical department, pushing everyone who was in their way, aside. These two guys were none other than; Xavier and Adam. After a couple of minutes, they arrived at the Medical department, and without further hesitation both men walked in, where they immediately met Francis, who was seemingly expecting their arrival.

“Francis!” Xavier impatiently yelled, grabbing Francis’s attention.

“Executive Xavier, Adam, Finally you’re here” Francis said with a smile.

“We came as fast as we could” Xavier said.

“We could’ve gotten here sooner If someone had used their ability” Adam said, glaring at Xavier.

“Huh?” Francis confusedly said.

“Don’t worry about what he said” Xavier awkwardly replied, caressing his hair softly.

“Alright. Like I said earlier, the boy’s awake” Francis said with excitement.

“What are we waiting for, let’s go check on him!” Xavier exclaimed, clearly causing a ruckus.

“Xavier, can you be quiet!” Adam said in his usual manner.

“It’s Executive Xavier” Xavier replied, twitching his eyes in anger.

“Whatever” Adam snorted, folding his arms.

“This way” Francis said, leading them towards the Ward’s.

After awhile of walking, they finally got to the precise ward they were looking for. Before they could even enter the ward, the three middle aged men, all felt the immense amount of Negative energy which escaped the room.

“Could it be that this guy is an awakened?” Adam thought to himself.

“Hmm, with this amount of Negative energy, this guy must be extremely strong!” Xavier whispered as he curiously opened the door.

Immediately they entered, they spotted a guy sitting uprightly on his hospital bed. He wore a dark blue tang top, with a brown colored cargo shorts. He had a weak looking body build, dark brown hair and eyes. One could definitely say that he was handsome. The guy earnestly stared at the three men who just entered the room.

“Who are you two?” He asked, simultaneously pointing at Xavier and Adam.

“Hi, I’m Xavier…… Xavier Schiller” Xavier promptly said.

“Adam!” Adam reluctantly answered.

“What about you, what’s you’re name?” Xavier curiously inquired.

“I….I….I..” The Guy stuttered, furiously ruffling his head.

“He doesn’t seem to remember anything” Francis whispered to Xavier.

“Could it be that the contamination affected his brain?” Xavier replied.

“That’s a possibility” Francis said.

“I can’t remember…. I can’t remember anything!” The guy worriedly exclaimed.

“Hmm, you can’t even remember you’re name?” Xavier asked, slowly walking towards him.

“Yes” He said with a gloomy expression.

“That’s alright, let me help you!” Xavier said, placing his right hand on the guy’s forehead.

“Xavier, what the fuck are you doing ?” Adam confusedly asked.

“I’m helping him!” Xavier replied as his body got engulfed in an aura of Negative energy, which had a dull pink color and also glowed pitch black.

Instantly, the guy began to have various flashes of his memories. They were so disoriented, making it hard to get any sense from it. Just like the guy, Xavier was able to see the same flash visions. After a couple of seconds, Xavier discontinued the process, bringing both him and the guy back to reality.

“Huh.... What the hell was that?” The Guy exclaimed while gasping for breath.

“What’s you’re name?” Xavier asked, wearing a furious frown.

“I…..I…..” The guy stuttered, smacking his head.

“I remember, My name’s Jeremy” The guy exclaimed.

“Wow, what did you do?” Francis exclaimed in awe.

“Nothing much, I just poured a little bit of Negative energy into his body, trying to manually recollect his memories” Xavier nonchalantly said.

“Is that even possible ?” Adam asked, obviously shocked and confused.

“Yes, but for some reason it didn’t work on him” Xavier said, stroking his chin.

“What do you mean?” Jeremy confusedly asked.

“I remembered my name” He added.

“Apart from your name, what else do you remember?” Xavier asked, solemnly staring at Jeremy.

“Err…..Erm, I can’t remember… My head’s still fogey” Jeremy sadly said.

“But why was he able to remember his name?” Adam curiously inquired.

“His memories are really disoriented, but the only thing regular in it’s irregularities, is his name!” Xavier said.

“I have a question?” Jeremy said.

“What is it?” Xavier replied.

“Where are we?” Jeremy curiously asked, staring at Xavier.

“We’re in New Chrisland city, Bureau of Exorcism Headquarters to be precise” Xavier promptly replied.

“Hmm…. What’s Exor… cism? Jeremy inquired.

“That’s right, he won’t know anything about the current state of the world” Xavier thought to himself.

“For you to understand what Exorcism is, you’ve got to know what happened fifty years ago” Xavier said with a sadistic grin.

“Not again” Adam whispered, smacking his face hard.

“Yin and Yang, Order and Disorder, Life and Death, The Universal Equation of Balance.

The world was once in Balance, until it came, The Arcane Drift. A massive flare of Primeval Mana flowed through Earth, giving birth to The Arcane Prime, soul like entities formed from pure Arcane energy. Humanity was devastated, as half of earth’s population were wiped out due to Mana toxicity. The Half left behind were soon preyed on by The Prime’s. We couldn’t defend ourselves, as Humanity was brought down to it’s knees.

Ten years later, we had a breakthrough. Humans, who were once preys, instantly became predators. The Hunted became the Hunter. Despite the fact we couldn’t wield Arcane, we found other means to defend ourselves.

By drawing power from Yin Yang Force Factor, Humans finally had the upper hand, as they went into all out war against The Primes. Gaining the upper hand, Human were able to partially restore balance, rebuilding their countless civilization” Xavier said.

“Huh?” Jeremy confusedly said.

“You see, you’ve fuckin confused him” Adam said, giving Xavier a wicked glare.

“What didn’t you understand?” Xavier desperately asked.

“I got lost at Ten years later” Jeremy said.

“What are these Primes anyway?” He added.

“Basically, Arcane Primes are soul like entities made out of nothing but pure Arcane energy, otherwise known as Mana” Adam said.

“Hmm, I get it but why were they preying on humans” Jeremy asked.

“Don’t get this wrong, The Arcane Primes weren’t hunting human. After their appearance, they remained redundant. Due to this redundancy, they were influenced by several Elemental, Fundamental, Cosmic and Divine forces, because of this, they became what we called Transfigured Primes” Adam said in his usual attitude.

“So it’s this Transfigured Primes that began human hunting?” Jeremy said with a gloomy demeanor.

“Ten years later, that’s where we Exorcist came into the picture” Xavier interrupted.

“ Unlike the Transfigured Primes, which possessed several affinities due to their influence and Arcane energy control, we devised another method of obtaining power.

Since Mana was toxic to humans, we got our powers from the Yin Yang Balance Equation, through awakening either The Yin Force Factor which is Negative energy, or The Yang Force Factor which is Positive energy.

Through these awakening, different forces ranging from Elemental, Fundamental, Divine and Cosmic’, were then augmented directly into our bodies, allowing us to fully utilize these forces” Xavier proudly explained.

“Wait a minute, aren’t these forces the one that influenced the Primes?” Jeremy asked.

“Yeah, so technically, we’re fighting fire with fire” Adam answered.

“The only difference is that, they’ve got Mana, we have Yin Yang. Eventually, the stronger force will dominate” Xavier rudely interrupted.

“Does that mean, all humans are awakened?” Jeremy excitedly exclaimed.

“Not all. Those who awakened are given the title ‘Exorcist’” Xavier answered.

“That means I’m not an awakened” Jeremy said.

“Actually you are, we don’t know how but you’re definitely an Awakened” Francis replied, staring solemnly at Jeremy.

“Yin or Yang” He curiously inquired.

“Yin…. Negative Energy” Francis commented.

“Wow!” Jeremy said, clenching both his fists.

“But that’s not all!” Xavier immediately said.

“What is it?” Jeremy confusedly stared.

“You’re contaminated” Francis said.

“By Mana?” Jeremy inquired, staring at Francis for answers.

“Yes” Francis promptly answered.

“That means I’m gonna die!” Jeremy calmly said.

“Yes” Francis slowly answered.

“Oh well!” Jeremy said with a calm demeanor, gravely shocking Xavier, Francis and even Adam.

They were all shocked by the calm demeanor he exhibited, despite the fact that he is going to die eventually.

“You’re not worried?” Francis inquired.

“Why should I be?” Jeremy said, confusingly staring at Francis.

“I mean, everybody’s gonna die some day, so why worry? At least I’m an awakened, that means I can become an Exorcist, right?” He calmly explained.

“Yes” Xavier answered.

“So even if I die, my death won’t be meaningless”
