Awkward

I saw someone I really don’t want to see. Fortunately that person hasn’t realized that I am here.

When that person was tidying up the robbers, I tried to run away.

Not run but slip away. But I am caught. The police outside are questioning the victims.

“Are you alright?” One officer asks me.

“Yeah.”

I said that in a lighthearted tone. I really wasn’t that scared anyway. But I really have to run away.

And even if that person sees me, they probably won’t recognize me.

I am ashamed of myself for saying this but it is better if she doesn’t see me.

That person or rather she should not see me. She finally fulfilled her dream of becoming a policewoman. I don’t wanna disturb her.

The officer who was asking me questions was done. So I prepare myself to turn on my heels.

But then came someone blocking my path. It is her.

I try to stay calm and maintain a stance where I don’t know her.

“Have we met somewhere?”

She asks me. She has become even sharper than before. I need to be extra careful.

“No. We certainly haven’t met each other. But I would like to get to know you, beautiful!”

Let’s go with that route. She always hated the flirty type. So let’s make her believe that I am an unbelievable womaniser.

But to act like a womaniser which I really am not hurts. I think that I should wrap this up quickly.

She has been watching me from head to toe.

“You really look similar to someone I know.”

Her intuition is scary.

Let’s reverse it.

“Hoh. If you wanted to know my name, you could have asked for it. No need to be so roundabout. If you want, we can go on a date. We can get to know each other if you’d like?”

I wink at her and flash a flirtatious smile.

Honestly I am about to throw up from my own lines. My dark history just keeps on piling.

She is giving me a look that made me want to die.

“Don’t come closer!”

She becomes even more vigilant. She is on guard.

That’s the cue. I have to push it so she tells me to go away.

“Why sweetheart? Aren’t you trying to get closer to me?”

These lines are seriously giving me goosebumps. But I spread my arms and try to hug her.

However she punched me in my gut. A sharp pain ran through my stomach.

I hold my stomach and fall down to my knees.

“I told you. Now get lost.”

She says and goes away. Damn! She is still the same.

Always so violent but with that this is goodbye.

I get up. The pain is still there but it isn’t something I can’t handle.

“Well let’s have lunch and board the train.”

I say and go to a diner nearby.

I am going to have lunch. But when I entered they told me that there are no seats available.

If I am willing to share a table with someone then they can arrange it for me.

I have no problem so I tell them to arrange it.

“Well then, follow me.” The waitress asked me to follow her.

She takes me to a seat which was already occupied.

Another person, a woman, was sitting there.

I look at the woman and I curse fate. I even involuntarily let out a sound.

“Geh!”

“?!”

She stares at me and is currently confused.

But why? I curse my fate. Why am I meeting all the people I never want to see in my life again?

Is God mad at me? Did I do something wrong?

But when I looked at them, both her and the waitress are giving me dubious look.

So I calmly sit down.

“I’ll have a full course.” I say to her.

This diner is famous for its full course meal. So it’s really easy to order.

And she wrote it down and went away.

Time to calm down and face reality. This is gonna be the hardest trial of today.
