“Boss, where are you going?” Bruno immediately confronted David, who was walking fast.

“Go home,” David replied in a lazy tone.

"Then please get in the car, boss. There." David pointed to a luxurious black car that had been neatly parked. David raised an eyebrow.

"No need. I can walk.”

"In that case. Let me accompany you on foot.” Those words actually annoyed David.

"Can you guys go?" asked David.

Bruno lowered his head. Not daring to look at David with the piercing gaze that he hadn't seen in a long time. It still looks just as scary as before. He missed that authoritative figure.

"Haaahh..." It was the umpteenth time David sighed.

"Can't you see how I'm doing now, Bruno? There's nothing more you can expect from me. I've turned into a coward. There is no more power left. No more money. No more fit and muscular body. My greatness has completely disappeared. Replaced by misfortune that keeps on coming. I'm so bad. So why else do you come to me? Go. If things get any worse, I suggest that you find a new leader. Seeking hope from me is futile.” David said it with a desperate face.

"No, boss! It can't be! So far, only you are the strongest. Only you can. No one can replace your role. You're the best we've ever had!” Bruno gave encouragement to his boss again.

“I will only be loyal to you. No matter what happens, Boss. You yourself know I am deeply indebted to you. During this difficult time, I continue to suggest your name to return to lead us.”

"No, Bruno. I can't." David still tried to refuse. Not letting that happen, Bruno continued to encourage his boss.

“About power, you will get it back just by you saying yes to our request for your return. We will help you to get that back. Wealth, all the wealth we have is yours. Everything from the start is always yours. And a fit and muscular body. You just need to work out as hard as you used to, boss!”

David looked at Bruno. “You know why I quit. You think I want to repeat the same mistake?” It hurts so much to remember what happened a long time ago. Compared to the insults he was receiving now, the pain he had previously felt was more severe.

Bruno lowered his head. “But only you, boss, are our only hope. We promise to contribute well. We can start all over again from scratch. Expel those traitors and reclaim all the power that belongs to you, boss.”

David is still not confident. "I'm not sure, Bruno. What if we started over again things would just get worse? Many innocent people will die. I don't want that to happen."

“We have to believe and try it. If not, how could we possibly know the final result? You always say that, Boss. It has always been your life motto.” It's true what Bruno said. There are still doubts within David.

“Boss, we really begged you. We really beg you. Please, come back."

There's silence for such a long time until David speaks again. "Okay. I will be back." A faint smile formed on Bruno's face. He bent his body back to 90 degrees.

"Then come on, boss. We take the car that has been prepared. We'll take you to your place of residence." David nodded his head.

"Please, boss." Bruno opened the door car for his boss. Before David got into the luxury car, a woman's voice stopped him again.

“DAVID!” David and Bruno turned their heads towards the source of the sound. That's his wife, Lily.

Bruno looked at his boss. He wondered what his boss would do to his wife, who had an affair. Look at Lily, who came out with Jack. When Lily wanted to step closer to her husband, Jack held her back. He still looks in pain and scared. There was a look of shame because of what the man in the black suit had done to him. He seemed to have lost his face. He really did not expect that David, whom he considered a poor coward, was a boss. A billionaire like what his man said earlier.

David noticed the interaction between Bruno and his wife. Unlike before, when his wife preferred Bruno, now Lily put Bruno's arm on her shoulder. Lily seemed to say something to Jack. And Jack seemed to object to Lily's words. Then Lily walked towards him.

"David," she called again. Bruno blocked Lily's view of her boss. He looked at Lily with a sharp gaze. But David's arm tells Bruno to just get out of the way. So he stepped aside. Let Lily talk to her boss.

"What is it?" asked David. Of course, because of the pain he received from this woman, David's tone became colder than before. And that made a sad face on Lily's face form. But David didn't care. He wanted to ignore this woman for a moment. So that Lily can introspect herself. He knew Lily's change was due to the arrival of Bruno and his men.

"Are you okay?" Lily asked with a worried face.

David did not answer. He looked at Bruno. "Give me the crackle bag your men brought," David ordered.

"Yes, boss!" Bruno called his men.

“Give all those crackle bags to this lady. Let her carry it." Lily was, of course, surprised by her husband's words.

"David. What do you mean?" Lily asked as she lifted the many crackle bags with a questioning look.

"I bought all of that for you. Happy birthday. Go home with Jack. You came with him. You should go home with him, too.” Lily gaped.

"No! Wait! But I want to go home with you, David. Bring—” Lily wanted to say. But David was already in the car and Bruno immediately closed the door. Bruno looked at Lily.

"Excuse me, madam," he said with a smile. There was a sense of satisfaction within Bruno seeing his boss treat this woman like that. Maybe his boss wants to teach a valuable lesson to this woman named Lily.

"Now we go to your mother-in-law's house, boss?"

"Yes." David glanced back to see Lily again. Actually, he felt sorry. But it was the same as what Bruno had in mind. He wanted to teach Lily at least a lesson. Going out with another man with affectionate gestures is considered an affair. At least, with this brief lesson from him, Lily can understand where she went wrong. Now he didn't want to think about women’s matters. There is something more important. The problem that Bruno and all his former subordinates were facing. What's really going on? Is the situation really getting worse?
