Chapter eighty-two

"I can't help you, Pamela." He says.

But she undeterred and continued. " This is the most crucial thing in my life and he is using it extravagantly. Father supports him. I wouldn't live if I hear that the company I have worked hard for has been liquidated."

Joshua called his fist by his side and started at Pamela unwaveringly.

"You must leave at once." He hissed.

"Help me, please. I don't know but you should for the sake of our friendship."

"If you are desperate to save your company you should do that yourself." He said flatly and she clicked her tongue. He had gone cold. What was the kind gesture for then?

She stood up leaving the sheet with Joshua. Stepping a mere five to ten feet away beside him she folded her hand.

She has the courage of the desperate and it radiated through her. From her feverish gaze and pleading lips. Though the breeze of the shore that blew made her hair fly. Joshua didn't look into her eyes.
