It was Sunday evening. Magdalene was sitting inside the sitting room, she was looking sad and inactive because Alfred and Davies hadn’t returned home. Different thoughts were running through her mind.

She had left home for Sarah’s house in the morning. She told Sarah about her ordeal. Sarah was so shocked. She told Magdalene that Alfred and Davies had left for home the previous night. Magdalene became more worried. She had returned home and refused to eat.

Edwin walked into the sitting room and met Magdalene. Edwin sat beside Magdalene and said, “Mum, you can’t continue like this. You taught me to pray in every situation, but here you are thinking. You don’t have to cause more havoc.”

“I couldn’t take it anymore. I have tried Alfred’s and Davies’ phone numbers several times, but they weren’t going through. I hope nothing happens to them,” Magdalene said and couldn’t hold her tears.
