Nicholas Orpheus

" Stop your assault!"The young man said as he showed the soldiers a Black badge with a one-eyed pattern on it.

"Hey isn't that The son of the Orpheus Family?"...."Yeah that's him, he's handsome isn't he?" The Crowed mumbled about the origin of the boy the moment they saw his black badge.

"Yes sir!" The soldiers quickly responded to the young man's order as they bowed at the sight of him.

"Huh!? that badge, Don't tell me..." Ruthven saw the badge and turned his eyes back to normal while letting go of Raiz and quickly rushing to the young man.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Nicholas of the Orpheus Family." The young blonde man put his hand out and introduced him as such, but Ruthven ignored him as he took the badge that was held by Nicholas, and quietly observed it.

"You got to be kidding me right?" Ruthven said as he knew that the badge was meant to represent someone important from the demon race.

With an embarrassed look on his face, Nicholas asked..."What do you mean?"

"Hehe Nothing, I was just surprised that's all." Ruthven gave the badge back as he then began to walk towards the gate.

"Stop!" A soldier said as he put his hand out to block Ruthven's way, and to this, Ruthven sighed as he responded " What now?"

Nicholas secretly laughed at Ruthven who knew nothing of how the current world worked. "You're Going to have to provide your Identification badge." The soldier said as he put on a stern look on his face.

" Identification badge?.... what?" Ruthven was surprised that the barbarians he had fought already evolved this much in just a matter of a Thousand years.

"Am afraid I don't have one," Ruthven said

"Then am sorry sir you cannot be allowed to pass." As the Soldier said those words, Ruthven began to have some unsavory thoughts." Wouldn't it be better to just kill everyone here." was what he thought as his hand was reaching for his sword.

Nicholas saw this and quickly stepped in. " Don't worry his with me." He said to the Soldier.

" O-okay, Sir." The soldier sounded reluctant to let Ruthven pass, but he couldn't ignore an order from the Orpheus Family.

Ruthven looked at Nicholas with displeased eyes, and Nicholas seeing this wanted to apologize, but he couldn't as he had a reputation to uphold. "Sir, would you like to join us?" Nicholas said as he pointed towards the carriage.

Ruthven didn't say anything as he soon climbed in the carriage.

While bowing his head, Nicholas apologized to the residents.." Am sorry for the trouble our guest has caused" he said

The carriage began to move, and as it went passed the gate Ruthven was taken aback by the scene that was before him.

The city felt Medieval, but different as the streets were crowded with different kinds of species from beast-kin, humans, monsters, and elves. It had a huge fantasy feeling to it.

"Hmm, this is the first time I've seen a city since coming here," Ruthven said as his eyes were fixated on the events that were happening outside the carriage.

" Might I ask for your name Sir?" Nicholas asked as he had an awkward smile on his face.

Ruthven looked at Nicholas for a moment which made the Mood tense, but he still answered him anyways " Ruthven Highlord, That's my name."

"Again It's nice to meet you, Sir Ruthven. My name is Nicholas of the Orpheus Family" Nicholas said as he bowed his head once more.

The many times Nicholas had bowed to Ruthven was weird, it even made Ruthven ask.."Why do you keep bowing to me?"

With shock on his face, Nicholas respectfully answered.."That's because of your Origin"

"What of my Origin?" Ruthven had already been swallowed by curiosity as he asked that.

"You hold the powers of the ancient demons..... am I wrong?" Nicholas said as he wasn't sure of the response he would get.

With his hand on his chin, Ruthven asked"Define Ancient Demon." Nicholas was surprised about the Question Ruthven had asked, but either way, he had to answer his question.

"Ancient Demons are the first generation of demons that were born directly from the Mana of the Blue-eyed demon. Many of the Ancient Demons died in the war against humankind, but It has been said that some ancient demons are still alive to this day, but they choose to live in seclusion as they in wait for the war to begin again."

Ruthven was surprised as he heard that there were still Demons waiting for the war, but with what he heard from Nicholas he could be considered an ancient demon since he was the first demon, to begin with.

"Hmmm, when you put it that way... I guess you could say I am an Ancient Demon."

Nicholas hearing this put on a face filled with admiration as it resembled that of a Child. Ruthven thought it felt weird being admired, but he quickly changed the Subject he asked " So are you a demon as well?"

"Ahh ... yes. Yes, I am." Nicholas was caught off guard as his response was not that quick, but was still true.

"Hmm, it's weird how you resemble a human more than a Demon," Ruthven said as he was Observing Nicholas.

" Ohh, am sorry about that," Nicholas responded as he began to take off the ring he was wearing, and as soon as the ring was off, Nicholas grew two pairs of horns that were vertically facing forward.

With a sad smile, he said" I Am trying to hide my horns as much as possible."

"Oh is that so?" Ruthven said as he tried his best not to pry further, but He began to look at Nicholas with an Interested look. "Status" Was what he thought before a Status panel showed itself above Nicholas's head.

"Is this person a child... and since when was I a mister?" Ruthven thought as he got off the Garage and what waited for him was breathtaking.

A giant mansion that could be mistaken for a castle was before him. It was a four-story mansion with Gold decorated walls and a beautiful lawn stood before it with colorful flowers.

"I welcome you to my secondary Home!" Nicholas said as his expression was filled with joy.
