Confessions

She stared at him in silence, trying to process what she just heard. She did not like what she just heard, because she was sure she didn't want to break his heart. She wished she could tell him, she wasn't the girl he thought she was.

"Don't you think you are rushing this? " She asked him while hoping he affirmed. She kept staring at him, wishing he could take his time, to think about it. Oh, how unlucky she had been, to get to a place she never knew and been confessed to by a boy she never met.

"Emily, I do and I know you must have felt the same too." He said and took a couple of steps towards her.

"Pizza is here," Leia said with a nervous laugh and walked toward the door, as she heard the doorbell ring.

She took the pizza and walked back inside the house, dropping the box of pizza on the couch. "Well, are you hungry?" She asked Charles, as he stood still staring at her.

Honestly, she did not know what kind of food was in that box she held. She heard Camila talk about it earlier and ordered it, but she did not know what it was.

"No, I'm good." He declined and walked toward her again. "I just want to know how you feel about me. " He told her.

Leia sighed inaudibly as she did not want it to come to this. She never wished for this or to be here either. How was she so unlucky to get two shocks in one day?

"You are sweet and all but... " She said and took a step toward him. "I don't feel the same way, as you do. Maybe it will take time and... "

"You never talk to me without saying my name, Emily," Charles said in observation.

Leia was almost choked by that Statement. She felt like disappearing into thin air at that moment and she felt everything come to a standstill. "I never did? " She managed to ask, while still maintaining her composure.

"Are you ok, Emily? " Charles asked again and crossed the distance between the two of them. "You seem...I don't know...off lately," he added as his eyes scanned her.

Oh if only he knew who he was talking to. if only he knew she was an imposter, he wouldn't try to coax her with words like that.

"Yes! Yes, I'm fine." Leia replied nervously and walked back to the couch.

"You sure? because you are acting unusual today. "He said with arms behind his back.

"Actually yes! I'm fine," Leia replied nervously and let out an audible sigh as she couldn't keep it up. "The truth is... You are a sweet person and all but I can't do this. I don't love you, I love someone else. " She said to him as she did not want to reveal that she was an imposter.

Charles felt like his heart was being stabbed by a thousand needles, as he stared at her. What he had dreaded had just happened and it was because of his decision. He had lost her to another man and he is to be blamed for it. Maybe he wasn't doing enough for her or didn't care enough.

He turned in the opposite direction to avoid her from seeing his face. "Did you really have to be that honest? " He asked her and chuckled bitterly. His voice came out hoarse and his head began to hurt.

Leia just stood there, contemplating if she should tell him or not. She didn't love this stranger but perhaps ' Emily' did and she was just ruining a chance for the poor girl.

" I wanna say there is hope but sometimes things just don't go your way," Leia replied bitterly, with a crestfallen face. She felt like she was talking to herself rather than him. She felt her heart crush as she made that statement to him.

" Did you ever love me?..." He asked with the most pitiful smile on his face." ...You don't need to answer the question. We both know what the answer already is. I understand if you don't feel the same way I do Emily, it's fine." He said with an assuring smile.

Leia felt guilty and touched by his words. Her mouth constantly opens and closes as she tried to speak but couldn't find the right thing to say.

Charles smiled again, and walked toward the front door, with his hand on the knob. " I will keep loving you, even if you don't," he told her and twisted the knob to walk out.

" Wait!" Leia said and walked to him. " I...I..." She stuttered still trying to look for the appropriate words to use.

"You know, ever since that spell was cast on you, you've been acting more strange than the last time. I need my best friend back, Emily." He said with a forced smile and walked out, leaving Leia stunned and confused.

She couldn't believe what she just heard. Was it true? Did he mean what he was saying or he was kidding? Was a spell casted on Emily? She pondered as she tried to wrap her mind around this sudden revelation.

Now it all makes sense to her. The room, the advanced tech in the house, and how her appearance had suddenly been altered. She immediately snapped out of her daze and ran out to look for him, but he was already gone.

Her hope of finding out the answers to her questions was gone, and she drove him out. She regretted not telling him about her real identity and guilt washed over her.

" Thanks, mom," Leia said to Camila as she was dropped off at school.

" Thank you for giving me a second chance. We have a lot to talk about at home ok? Stay safe and out of trouble." Camila advised and drove off, as Leia alighted the car.

Walking to the stairs, Leia could see a bunch of girls standing together by the side staring at her. She could hear whispers coming from them, some of them were negative comments but she did not care.

She had only one goal in mind at the moment. To look for the blond-haired guy and get her answers. Her eyes scrutinized the hall and fell on a particular girl, who was staring at her with a smile plastered on her face.

It was Christine and she walked towards her with an evil grin on her face. " Ugh... please don't collapse today ok?" She said in sarcasm and chuckled." You look really...I don't know, sickly?" She added and her eyes scanned her ( Leia)

Leia stared at the bully in disgust and while rolling her eyes, she finally sighted the one person she had been looking for, all this time. " Can you move? I can barely hold back my puke just by looking at you." She said and walked past Christine.

She could see Charles taking out a book from his locker. "Hey, I need to ask you something." She said but he ignored her like she never existed.

" Look at me." She said and slammed his locker shut which attracted the attention of the other students. " I need your help." She said again.

"And what is that?" Charles asked her with a raised brow as he looked at her. He was doing his best to conceal his emotions as he locked eye contact with her.

"I can't say it here, I'll need privacy for it." She said and stared at him.

" Well..." He paused as she suddenly grabbed his hand. "...or you can just do as you wish." He said as she pulled him by the hand down the hallway.

Leia found a door and walked in with Charles. It was a little dark and had limited space inside but she didn't care.

" Why the locker room?" Charles asked her, as he dusted the dirt off him."You really should..."

"I need you to tell me the spell you talked about yesterday," Leia ordered cutting him off. "Where you kidding or not?" She asked.

Charles just stared at her perplexed. He couldn't understand why she was asking him such a question. "What's wrong with you Emily? Why the question?..." He asked her with a confused look.

"That's...I..I..." she stuttered as she rack her head for what to say. Not what to say exactly, but how to say it.

"You were there Emily, don't you remember."He asked her, with his hands tucked into his pocket.

"That's the thing, I wasn't" Leia replied and stared at him. "I need to tell you something and hopefully, you may help me find answers." She added.

Charles did not respond and kept staring at her. His eyes gazed into hers, searching for an explanation maybe. He was still confused by what she was saying or trying to say.

"I am not Emily Wills."Leia confessed and her eyes peered into his."My real name is Leia Miller."
