"Spencer" Kyle yelled

"What's up" Spencer replied walking over to him.

"Look at what I found" he said bringing out a small note from  his bag.

"The masked lady?" Spencer asked.

"Yes.. look over here, she..."

"Kyle just let this slide" Spencer said and Kyle couldn't believe his ears.

"What did you say"

"I'm being concerned, you got injured thrice by her, these past months, what if it takes your life" Spencer said.

"That's why I'm a cop, we put our lives on a case, I'd rather die trying to save lives than sit like a coward and watch the lives of those I'm supposed to protect be wasted like it means nothing" he said.

"Rex is on the case" Spencer said.

"Why do you act like she's your girlfriend or sister? Are you working with her? Come to think of it, my question earlier" he said.

"What do you think of me" Spencer scoffed, "I don't know her" he said.

" Then listen to what I have to say" he said, "look at this, for the past three months I've been after her, her escape routes leads to two places" he said.

"What" Spencer asked.

"Just fucking listen" Kyle said , "the killings at hillview avenue has been the highest and there is a probability she lives around the area, most times her routes always leads to a dead end, it's close to a river, more like waterfall" he said.

"So you're saying she's mermaid" Spencer chuckled

"Fuck you man" he laughed.

"But this is good progress" Spence said

"I know right" Kyle said feeling satisfied with himself, he knew he was steps closer to catching her.

"You giving this to Rex" 

"He doesn't look like he wants to catch her" Kyle replied and Spencer gave a stiff smile walking away.

Newton's construction companies::

"Yes sir" Mr Roberts bowed.

"Where the hell is she" Mr Newton muttered.

"Honey" Mrs Newton squeeled pecking her husband.

"Would have left without you" he said.

"I'll take my leave sir, good day ma'am" Mr Roberts bowed.

"The plane leaves in five, how exactly are we gonna make it" Mr Newton muttered walking out. "Ain't you coming?" He asked when he noticed his wife sitting on his chair.

"We are not gonna make it" she said.

"So you did this purposefully" he said.

"We'd leave tomorrow or next" she said, "the party is in three days honey" she whined.

"But..."

"I know you just want to run away from work" she smiled, "I have work at the hospital too, don't worry we'd leave tomorrow and you can get all the rest you need" she pouted, "I mean, this is you're company, you don't have to show up everyday" she said.

"You own that hospital, you don't have to show up everyday" he scoffed.

"I don't" she smiled.

"Let's just go out, it's me and my wife" he smiled and took her hand.

"Finally.. home alone" cherish yelled taking out cereals from the fridge.

"I think Cheryl is getting a life now" she sighed, "she's being going out lately" she smiled and switched on the television.

"K~drama" she squeeled, but her phone rang and she felt like crying.

"Yes Mom" she said sadly.

"Where are you"

"Home"

"To the boutique now"

"But mom"

"I ain't asking you to stay"

"Why then am I coming"

"To take something home"

"You went shopping?"

"Just get your ass here" he mom said and the line went dead. She rushed her cereal and ran upstairs to change, when she was done, she left. The boutique wasn't far from home, so she walked fast but someone stopped her.

"Cheryl" he called.

"Huh?" Cherish asked.

"It's been a while" he smiled.

"Uhhh yeah..ummm" she stuttered.

"Kyle" he smiled.

"Yeah Kyle" she smiled shortly and rushed off.

"She must be in a rush" he smiled .
