Epic 24

I went to Alex's room, he just kept tapping his feet uncontrollably on the floor. I have never seen him in such discomfort before. What could be wrong with him?

“You called, what is the latest update?”, I said while sitting on the sofa close to him.

“Yeah! Just a few minutes later, mum called, she told me she wanted to make peace, she was ready to come clean, she asked me to beg you on her behalf which I agreed to do after we ended the call with some prayers...” he said while pausing.

“Are you serious? This is good news, so how are we going to do it, probably invite her over so that everything can be settled in a good way”, I said smiling, but he still wore his angry look.

“What happened? Why are you not happy, this is what we have all wanted, you should be happy”, I told him while giving him a little punch.

“I wish the story ended here so that we can both rejoice together”, he said while still stamping his feet.
