Meeting Father (II)

As Alton walked towards the earl's study, multiple maids and servants were doing their regular chores, and seeing him, they bowed, but that was just because he was the earl's son, not because they were respectful of him because Alton's current reputation was of a spoiled brat who was loved and cared by his parents.

Alton looked at them and understood the looks of disdain and anger because the lord they all loved had such an unworthy son as his only child.

Alton smiled but kept walking in silence, stopped in front of a window, and looked outside of the window. This territory's name is Teren; it belonged to the Alzonian Empire from the start Teren family ruled this land and helped in the making of the Alzonian Empire and were thus granted the title of Duke by the king of that time, but as the time progressed the Teren family met its demise and was thus relegated to the rank of Count.

The head of the family is Aldwin Von Teren, and the current countess of the Aria Von Teren was Alton's parents. The people of Teren loved Alton's parents as they always thought about them before themselves.

He is in the main Mansion of the Teren family, which the family head and his family have used for generations. The Mansion had two extensive gardens in front of the Mansion, separated by a road to the gate, and another garden at the back of the Mansion.

The Mansion had three floors and a basement. The basement was used to store things such as food supplies and a wine cellar, the first floor had a drawing room, dining room, lounge, and kitchen on the back, and the first floor had the family member's rooms with guest rooms as well, the third floor had a single room, but no one can access it without the family head permission because it was the Teren family Vault.

Aside from all this, the Mansion also had a dormitory for servants, guards, mages, and knights of the Teren family. There was one particular place on the grounds of the Teren family, the training area, which was one of the best in the country, and all the guards, knights, mages, and even the Teren family members used this place.

As Alton was thinking about all this, looking out of the window with a smile, Maria kept looking at him with a questioning look that what was her young master smiling for when she opened her mouth. "What are you thinking about, young master?"

Alton was brought back, and he looked at her and replied, "Nothing."

Saying this, he again started walking towards the Count's room. Alton's room was on the far left of the Mansion. His father's study was on the far right, so after walking for about a couple of minutes, he finally reached the front of a wooden door, straightened himself a bit, and then looked at Maria. "Until I am inside, don't let anyone near the door to eave drop do you understand."

Maria nodded, stood in front of the room as a guard, and didn't move an inch. Alton knocked on the door, and a voice came from inside. "Come in."

Hearing this, Alton opened the door, walked in, and closed the door. Alton looked around the room, and it was a pretty simple study room with a sofa set on one right side of the room, a study table and chair in the middle of the room, a window which was behind the study table and lit the room and a bookshelf on the left side of the room.

Alton looked at a man in his thirties reading the papers on his table with concentration; the man had black hair short hair, black eyes, a good jawline, a handsome face with a masculine body that showed the might of the person with a smile and his eyes getting wet but controlled them. This person was none other than Alton's father, Aldwin Von Teren.

Aldwin didn't hear the person who entered talk, so he took his eyes up from the papers to look at the person and was shocked to see his son standing before him. Aldwin smiled, got up from his chair, and walked towards him, saying, "Good to see you, Alton how are you these days."

Alton smiled while answering, "I have been good; how are you?"

Aldwin received a shock because not only did his son smile at him but also asked him how he was doing, and because of this, Aldwin was thrilled now. "I am fine; why are you standing? Let's sit on the couch there."

Alton nodded and followed Aldwin to sit on the couch. After sitting on the couch, Aldwin looked at his smiling son and thought about the past Alton was not from the start like that. Still, when he was ten, everyone knew that he didn't have the physique to be a sword man because Alton was weak, so he tried to help him become a mage, but his mana aptitude was zero, which made him give up on everything.

Aldwin would have helped him increase his physique or mana aptitude using different potions or medicinal herbs, but Alton was unwilling to interact, so he gave up.

"..."

Aldwin was brought back from the dream world when he heard Alton's voice and replied, "Sorry did you say anything?"

Alton smiled and repeated, "I want something from you."

Aldwin smiled and was ready to give anything to him if Alton asked and replied, "What is it that you want."

Alton smiled and replied, "I want to travel to North."

With a shocked expression, Aldwin asked, "Can I know the reason."

Alton smiled and replied, "I want to see the beauty of North."

Aldwin listened to his words and felt that something was a miss and then said to him, "Let's me ask someone to bring your mother here, and then we can talk, Okay."

Alton nodded and then said in a loud voice, "Maria go and bring my mother here, and if she asks the reason just say me and father want to talk with her."

Aldwin kept looking at Alton; he was the same Alton he knew about who didn't speak or talk to anyone.
