“What are they talking about? I cannot go in because Selene is acting weird. She really scares the hell out of me.”

This was his monologue. He was laying down on grass right next to his giant hole.

He closed the hole and was lying down on the down. He thought that they would be talking for a while. So he slept.

He was sleeping on the grass. Because of his aura, no monster dared to come close and humans don’t come in. So he had nothing to worry about.

And the girls were just dumbfounded. Akatsuki did some really outrageous things that didn’t have any meaning.

Selene was particularly annoyed with him. Mizuki and Momoko were trying to grasp the situation.

Aisha and co were sorting out about what should they do. They didn’t talk for a while. But Mizuki broke that silence.

“So in short, my brother was framed and then misunderstood by all and then murdered. That’s the gist of it.”

“Yes. If you see it that way, that’s it.” Selene said.

“But who killed him?” This was Momoko’s question. She didn’t know who killed him.

“That should be obvious. He said that your boyfriend killed him.” Selene answered.

“Huh. My boyfriend.” Momoko looked at her in daze. It sounded odd to her.

“I never had a boyfriend to begin with.” She said.

“But he said that he was pushed in front of the train by your boyfriend.” Selene said, confused.

Things were becoming confused again. After all they talked about, it felt like clearing. But it started to get confusing again.

“Why does this guy keep everything from me. I am the one who gave him this life.” Selene was flailing around her arms as if irritated.

“But what does he really want?” Aisha who was silent asked that.

“His eyes. It looked dead. Completely devoid of life and light. Not even light can run away from that.” Belle said.

“What is he doing now? I can’t feel him anymore.” Leah who was analyzing the magic in the house said.

“But he is right outside. He seems to have dozed off. That’s why you can’t sense him.” Selene answered her question.

“But it really is weird. He has not slept for over a thousand years. So why now?” Selene asked this. It felt kinda out of blue.

“Maybe he is feeling relaxed.” Mizuki said.

“If he hasn’t changed then he is totally feeling relaxed. That’s how it was when he was there.” She said.

“Anyway, we have to decide as to what yo do?” Selene said.

“Why? Isn’t it fine?” Aisha said.

“No. If other gods know about him, then they will wage war against him. He won’t lose. It’s the opposite. The gods will die in vain.” Selene was worried about her colleagues.

“So the gods will die if they fight him. Just how strong is he?” Leah asked.

“He is the creator. He created everything. So he can easily destroy everything. That’s how strong he is.” Selene answered.

This made everyone shudder. Mizuki and Momoko were also afraid.

“Anyway, it’s good that he’s asleep. Let’s check it.” Selene said with a dubious smile.

“What do you mean? Check out.” Aisha asked.

“What kind of dream is he having? He didn’t sleep because he was afraid of dreaming. So let’s see.” Selene said.

All of them were quite interested as well. For someone like him to be afraid of sleeping. They wanted to know.

Selene didn’t use the front door and teleported all of them to the surface.

They were standing on grass before they knew it.

He was sleeping on the grass. His face was peaceful. He was sleeping peacefully.

“Didn’t expect to see this? He is actually having a good dream.” Selene clicked her tongue.

Maybe she was expecting something horrible.

“It’s not worth the trouble now. He is having a good dream. So let’s just sit.” She proposed.

The girls nodded and sat on grass. The day was good and it was peaceful. A perfect and peaceful day. Just like anyone wants.

“But my sword.” Belle said. “My sword broke.”

“It was your own fault. How childish can you be. You tried to cut down a chair.” Aisha retorted.

“But the chair didn’t break. My sword did.”(b)

Belle was sulking because of her sword.

“Tell him to give you a sword.” Selene said.

“He will give me?” Belle had slightly shocked tone.

“Despite his looks he is kind. So ask him. He may give you a sacred treasure.” She said.

“What is a sacred treasure?” Leah asked.

“They are tools that are blessed by gods. Only certain humans can possess one.” Selene answered.

“Just like your hero. He is given a sword named Excalibur. It is a sword that can cut any living thing and is blessed by the sun.” Selene added.

“So the hero has a sacred treasure. It feels like a cheat.” Belle sulked. She was irritated at the fact that the hero got a sacred treasure.

“The hero is always chosen by the gods, right?” Aisha asked.

“Yes. When the demons grow stronger, a hero is chosen. But for the last 4000 years it has been peaceful. So there has been no hero.”(s)

“If a certain hero can not be chosen then the gods will summon one from different world.”(s)

“Summon. From where?” Leah asked.

Summoning magic is extremely difficult and takes a lot of magic. So humans can not perform it.

“A different world. Take Akatsuki’s former world. Or another world. There are an infinite number of worlds. So it’s pretty random.” Selene scratched her head and said.

“But the prerequisite is that you have to die. When you die, your soul moves to the after life. So your soul can be summoned and given a new body. That’s how it works.” Selene explained the summoning process.

Leah was listening to it with great interest. Her eyes were glowing. But the others were not so interested.

“Anyway, we have to send you two back. You can’t stay here any longer.” Selene pointed at Mizuki and Momoko.

“Why? It’s fun” Mizuki had a chipper look.

“That’s right. Also seeing him after so long, it’s really not good to go back.” Momoko also refuted.

“But you are not residents of this world. So you have yo go back.” Selene was adamant.

Akatsuki opened his eyes slowly and woke up.

“It’s been a long time since I slept. I feel good.” He said while stretching.

“You woke up. That’s good. Now send them back.” Selene told him.

“Let them stay. It’s not a big deal.” He answered.

“You. Always so carefree.” Selene was angry with him.

“Akatsuki, please give me a sword.” Belle prostrated herself in front of him.

“Ok. But get up. You are making me look like a bad guy.” Akatsuki said.

He reached his hand out and a crack appeared. He searched inside the crack and took a black sword out.

“Take it. It should be good enough.” He said.

Belle took the sword. It was light. So light that it felt like it wasn’t even there. Her face made a big smile.

She swung the sword but a crack appeared in the ground. Like it cut the ground.

Selene looked at the sword and her mouth was agape.

She couldn’t speak but her expression screamed of ‘Is this for real?’.

But she somehow composed herself and said,

“Why do you have that?”

“What’s wrong?” Belle asked.

“I thought about him giving you a sacred treasure. But that is a heavenly armament.”(s)

Heavenly armament is a weapon that is used by gods. It has the power to destroy the earth.

There are heavenly arms that can even destroy the heavens itself.

“What? Why are getting so agitated? I just gave her a plain black sword. Don’t go calling it a heavenly armament.” Akatsuki retorted and told her to stop.

“What? Are you insane? That sword definitely has the power to destroy the earth.” Selene argued.

“Can I ask something?” Belle raised her hand and asked.

“What?” Akatsuki said in a soft tone.

“This sword, what is it made of? It doesn’t feel like mythril.” She politely asked.

“It’s adamantite. A really rare metal.” He said.

“Adamantite? How? It feels stronger than normal ones.” Selene asked.

“Because I made it. Also the metal was sort of special.” He scratched his head and averted his gaze.

This made her really suspicious.

“Where did you get it from?” Selene made a scary face.

Akatsuki was scared of Selene. So caved in quickly and answered.

“It’s from my grandson. His scythe. I used that. Cronus’s scythe is strong. So I took it after he got sealed.” He answered.

This time all the girls were looking at him. They all had a scary look. Like the light was gone and darkness had covered them.

The temperature dropped like crazy and he froze.

The first one to say something was Mizuki.

“Can you please explain what do you mean by grandson?” Her voice was cute like always but her eyes were dead.

Even Selene was looking at him like that. Momoko and Aisha and co were also looking at him.

“I say my grandson but not my real grandson. He is more like someone related.”(a)

He stopped. But it didn’t have any effect. And the girls were still looking at him.

“Selene, I am the creator right?” He asked.

“Yes. What of it?” She coldly replied.

“What happened after chaos was born?” He asked.

“After chaos, his children Gaia and Uranus were born. From them came the oldest titans and so on.” Selene replied and she realized something.

“Ahh. I see. You are saying something like that.” Selene understood her fault and smiled.

“What actually happened?” Mizuki asked.

The girls nodded in unison.

“If he is chaos then the earth and sky are his children.” She said.

“So you gave birth to earth and sky?” Aisha was confirming.

“Yeah. All the gods are from me. But I am more of deus. Don’t you think?” He looked at Selene.

“Yeah. An all powerful god who stays away from humans.” Selene sighed and said.

Akatsuki sighed.

“Women really are scary.” Akatsuki expressed his true thoughts.

But the women surrounding him were displeased.

“What did you say?” Selene asked with a slight twich on her lips.

The others were also making a twitching face. Like he stepped on a huge land mine.

“Sorry. But I just can’t handle women.” He said with his head hung. He gave up preaching and admitted it.

“You can’t handle women. But you seem totally fine. You don’t even give me any special treatment even though I am the goddess of moon.” Selene said.

He never gave her any special treatment. So it kinda made her sad.

“You. Always seeking special attention because you have no worshippers.” Akatsuki sighed.

It was a fact. The goddess of moon ruled over night and darkness. So she also had a connection with death and demons.

So she was greatly feared by humans.

Hearing his remark, she pouted. But because she was beautiful it looked cute.

“Hey Aisha.” He said.

Aisha looked at him.

“What do you need you to become an adventurer?” He asked.

“Nothing. Just go to the guild and register. You magic will be checked and you have to state your job. Based on you magic and job your rank will be set.”

It was the same old thing.

“So what rank are you girls?” He asked her about their ranks.

“I am an A rank adventurer. Belle and Leah are B rank. As a party we are a top class B rank party.” She said.

“What is the top rank?” He asked.

“SS rank. They are said to be strong enough to exterminate dragons solo. Some say, they are on par with the hero.” She again said.

“I guess I should become one. I have been holed up for more than 4000 years. My body is almost rusted.” He said while stretching.

“Are you crazy? The gods will know about you then.” Selene said with a worried face.

“What can they do? I don’t care. Also, which god the church worships?”

“The main god is the god of thunder, Jupiter. He is called the god king.” Aisha said.

“That perverted bastard. Called the god king.” Selene made a disgusted face hearing that name.

“Haha. I got you. He really hasn’t changed.”

Akatsuki smiled. Then he looked at Mizuki and Momoko.

“What do you wanna do? I can send you back anytime you want.”

“No. I will stay here for a bit more. It’s interesting. Also, I can’t leave you alone with this many girls.” Mizuki said.

Her face was clearly threatening. She glared at the other girls. Especially Momoko.

“I will also stay here. So I can repent.” Momoko made a grim face.

“Let me tell something. I don’t despise you. I have nothing against you.” He clearly said that.

“But I was still responsible for what happened to you.” She said with tears in her eyes.

“Don’t cry. I have nothing against you as I said before.” He said.

Momoko calmed her heart and looked at him.

The mood was gloomy. Selene cut in and said,”So what should we do?”

“We? You are even counting yourself?” He said.

“Come on. I have nothing to do. So I can play around here.” She was clearly bored.

“Ok.” He gave permission.

“But tone down that divine aura and become more human like. It’ll cause trouble if someone recognizes you.”

“Ok.” She cheerfully said. She was clearly happy.

“Mizuki and Momoko, do you wanna become adventurers with me? It’ll be easier.” He said.

“I will.” They both said at the same time.

“Then let’s check your magic. It should help us.” He said.

“So what do we do?” Mizuki asked on behalf of them.

“Nothing. I will check it.” He said. A moment of silence.

“Mizuki you have water and air. Also a little light.” He said.

“As for Momoko, you have fire and earth with a little darkness.”

He said that. But Aisha’s party was shocked.

“Having affinity for three different types. It’s impossible.” Aisha said.

“But I can control all of them.” He nonchalantly said.
