Strangeness at Night

while pointing, his left hand seemed to be shaking violently. Rio was also unable to contain his curiosity. He then looked in the direction Thomas was pointing. And how surprised he was when he saw the figure of a woman in a white dress sitting on a motorcycle driven by Thomas's father.

"It's like the ghost earlier, Thomas," said Rio scared.

"Why did that ghost follow my father?" Thomas asked in a stuttering voice.

"How do I know," replied Rio.

Thomas was in a confused position. Between being afraid and not wanting to let the ghost harm his father. Now his position is several tens of meters away from his father's motorcycle position. But the fear and horror he could not prevent from happening.

"Thomas, that ghost facing this way, Thomas," Rio said while patting Thomas on the shoulder.

A shattered and bloody face was presented right in front of Thomas's eyes. His mouth was unable to utter a word. While staying focused on driving, he tried to bring up his courage again. The ghost looked at him while grinning at him. He didn't want to lose either. He replied with a sharp look full of fear. Even though he was still afraid, at least he looked brave to face the ghost.

Until when the motor penetrated the dark area and returned to the light area, the ghost disappeared. Thomas felt relieved, so did Rio who had been very scared all this time.

"Then don't tell my father about that!" said Thomas.

 "Yes," replied Rio.

"And tonight you sleep at my house. It's okay, right? After all, there are already many people in your house," said Thomas again.

"Yeah. I'll just have to call my brother and tell him that I'm sleeping at your house," said Rio.

 "Good."

Long story short, they had arrived at Thomas's house. Everything is safe. Thomas and his father immediately put the motorcycle into the house's garage. Then after that, they went into the house.

Thomas's mind was still focused on the figure of the woman who was riding his father's motorcycle earlier. If think about it, it's really, really scary. It was getting late. It felt like thinking of such a thing was a bad idea.

"Thomas, what if the ghost comes into this house?" Rio whispered.

"Do not talk like that!" said Thomas. Rio was silent.

It's nothing. Thomas was just afraid that the ghost would really come back when it was talked about. The shattered and bloody face was truly terrifying. Thomas certainly didn't want to see it again.

It was getting late. The house lights had been turned off, including the one in Thomas' room. On the bed there, two men were lying. Either sleeping or just lying down.

 "Thomas," said Rio.

It turned out that one of the two people had not slept. He in a very low tone tried to start a conversation with his friend. But what can he get? What he got was an answer without a sound or a signal from his best friend, or it could also be called an unanswered one.

"Thomas, are you sleeping?" Rio asked again. Thomas still didn't answer.

"Whoa, Thomas. Take me to the bathroom!" Rio said again while shaking Thomas' body.

The person he called still didn't answer. He didn't give up. He kept trying to wake his friend. But no matter how hard he tried, the result still failed.

"Damn it! He's sleeping like a bear who's just hibernating. Ah, I can't stand it anymore," he said.

Finally, like it or not, he had to go to the toilet alone. Throw away the feeling of fear in his heart. He tried to forget the scary incident that just happened some time ago. His urge to urinate is much more important. If he continued to heed his fear, he could wet the bed.

The atmosphere of the house filled with darkness made him a little hesitant to take a step. But he still went to the toilet alone. Not care with ghosts, the important thing is that his stomach can feel relieved.

He urinated while whistling to get rid of the quiet atmosphere at night. His eyes couldn't stay still. He moved it around to look around the area. Fear if suddenly a ghost appears. And how grateful he was, until he finished defecating, no ghosts appeared around him.

Not wanting to linger in that place, he immediately left. But he was surprised by someone who suddenly ran into the toilet while closing the toilet door. He wasn't scared, just shocked. Because he knew it was his own best friend, Thomas. Not a ghost or anything.

"It's bad. Just before he slept like a dead person, now he's running around. What a strange person," said Rio.

"Well never mind. Maybe he's desperate to defecate," he continued.

Then he left and went to his room. The atmosphere of the house is still the same as before. Quiet and dark. Naturally quiet, because all the occupants were asleep. It was only him and Thomas who were still awake. It's also natural that it's dark, because all the house lights have been turned off.

Enter him into the room. However, his body was instantly rooted to the spot the moment he looked at the bed. His whole body was shaking violently. His eyes couldn't blink even once. His finger pointed towards it with his mouth trembling as if he was hesitant to say something.

 "Tho--Tho--Thomas," he said.

Yes, what he saw was not something scary. It was just a human he knew very well. But the problem is, isn't Thomas going to the toilet? And if it was the real Thomas sleeping there, then who was in the toilet right now?

His body still shaking he forced to approach Thomas. He took a good look at the sleeping man. And sure enough, it was Thomas. He couldn't stand the fear so it made him move quickly to sleep beside Thomas while covering his whole body with the available blanket.

"The ghost has come. The ghost has come," he said to himself over and over again.

"How if that ghost comes here?" he asked himself.

He was trapped in a great fear. His sweat started to drip. Likewise, his breathing seems irregular. He is like a thief about to be caught.

 Tap! Tap! Tap!

In his fear, suddenly he heard the sound of footsteps from outside the room. It's getting scarier. It felt like his soul had separated from his body. He wanted to cry, but couldn't. The only thing he deduced from the footsteps was something very bad. And he didn't want to see it.

But, not long after, the sound of the footsteps disappeared and was replaced with a touch of a hand that felt terrible at Rio's feet. Whose hand is that?
