Master

"Absorb." Mo Fang called out again, but the circle did not appear on the young man's body; instead, a system notification was sent to him.

[At the host current cultivation, "Absorb" cannot work on life bodies.]

'I guess a normal sword stabbing won't kill a cultivator that easily, but this dude is already dead; I saw him breathe his last just now when I stabbed him.' Mo Fang was furious that the young man had not died.

"How come you didn't die?" Mo Fang asked, disgusted, as he landed a kick on the young man's stomach, whose body flinched in pain, proving that what the system actually said was true.

"Hey, system, will the "Absorb" function still work if I sever the head?"

He did not remove the cow's head when he killed it. He asked the system because he was curious what would happen if he removed this man's head, and he didn't want to risk absorbing the blood of another 1-star cultivator.

[Absorb will ultimately work on it as long as the body is lifeless.]

"You, filthy brat, why are you attempting to murder me?" The young man asked in a low tone, and his words were spoken slowly enough that it took Mo Fang some time to understand what he was saying.

'Damn, why didn't I think a cultivator would heal his wounds with their stored internal energy?' In his mind, Mo Fang yelled angrily.

"Who told you to heal yourself when I'm trying to kill you, Motherfucker?"

The sound of bones breaking resounded as Mo Fang tossed the body with his leg, sending him crashing to a nearby tree.

He approached the lifeless body with a cold smirk on his face.

"Absorb."

The same circle that appeared earlier reappeared beneath the bodies of both the young man and the beast, and the same reddish smoke-like gas began approaching and permeating his skin.

His power was growing, he could feel it, and it was growing faster than he could have imagined.

He hadn't realized that the blood energy from the three-horned boar was also being absorbed by his body's pores, which was why he felt that the power entering his body at the moment was too much when compared to the first time.

[Blood energy from three horned boar has been completed absorbed]

[Blood energy from a 1-star cultivator has been completely absorbed]

[Tutorial Quest 2 completed]

[Reward - Breath technique]

[Breath technique - Absorbing earth]

[Transferring Breath technique "Absorbing earth" to host's head]

[Transfer complete]

[Since host has completed the last tutorial quest, The system will now accept host as its master.]

[Character interface window is now open to master]

[All modes of the system have been unlocked]

The technique that was transferred into his head caused a lot of pain, making his head ache, but when combined with the system notifications, it became even worse.

He almost fainted because his head hurt and he felt like it had been trampled on. It took him about three minutes to understand both the message and the technique.

"Oh, my character interface has arrived; could you please show it to me? what's that word again okay I've got it, Stats."

[Host - Mo Fang]

[Cultivation - Low stage, 1-star Realm]

[Body - 1-star]

[Bloodline - N/A]

"Wonderful, you mentioned that I'm now your master after finishing the tutorial quest; what would have happened if I hadn't?"

[The quest will expire, and you will be given a quest that may result in death; in the worst-case scenario, your soul will be transported out of your body, and you will never be able to pass through the reincarnation cycle again.]

"Reincarnation? Do you know I've reincarnated?"

[Yes]

'If that's the case, I guess it's because the system didn't arrive on time, or my soul was incomplete without the system that I couldn't cultivate.' He pondered.

[Master guessed correctly, you reincarnated in a hurry, systems can't make it through the reincarnation themselves, so we had to rely on a soul, luckily a soul was reincarnated in this world, so I temporarily bound with that soul before coming to find you, master.]

"All right, from now on, you'll be known as Jian."

[Understood]

Mo Fang grinned.

"It's almost nighttime; I need to return to the Mo family before someone suspects that I killed this brat because the wound was clearly from a sword, not the three-horned boar."

His gaze was drawn to the pale body of the young man who had no blood on his body, only flesh and bone, his soul had even left his body, it must be wandering at the moment, probably enraged and filled with negative emotions for Mo Fang, but who cares? The dead should not be feared unless they have managed to become a spirit free of the reapers who live in the Netherlands.

The sun was lowering into the ocean of clouds, making way for the moon, which had been dormant while it reigned, to descend and rule over the sky.

Still in Sun ping forest.

Mo Fang has decided to return home so  his parents, as well as key members of the clan, will not suspect him if they discover that the nameless young man has died inside the forest after sustaining injuries only caused by blades weapons.

However, before returning home, he decided to take the beast crystal from the three-horned boar's head.

Beast crystals can only be found in magical and demonic beasts, whether alive or dead. The only problem is that it's difficult to dig out the body of a living beast to collect it.

"I would have sold this to the family's inventory, but it will raise suspicions, so I'll just sell it to those merchants who deal in them; it might even fetch me enough money to buy a new sword, and these horns will be useful to blacksmiths as well." Mo Fang pondered.

He had to work hard to extract the almost metallic horn of the three-horned boar, but he was able to retrieve the red beast crystal with little difficulty.

'Unfortunately, I don't have a spatial ring with me; all I have is this brat's bag, which is useless because he only came to the forest with a spear and this bag.' Mo Fang grumbled angrily.

He slid the horn into the bag, but it remained the same size and shape, and the weight remained unchanged.

'It's a spatial bag.'

Spatial bags function similarly to spatial rings with a few exceptions: it does not require divine sense to see what's inside, the space is limited to the size of the bag, and neither the weight nor the size of the item stored inside can alter its appearance.

It took him nearly an hour to walk out of the forest and another 20 minutes to find a place where beast crystals were bought and sold for credits. Most people bought the crystals to forge weapons, but others used the energy contained in them to cultivate.

Mo Fang would have done the same, but he was 99.9% certain that the energies in it would have been depleted the moment he absorbed the blood energy.

Mo Shen entered the hall; he wasn't the only one there; there were more than 50 people in total, but fortunately, none of them belonged to the Mo family.

"What do you have to offer, Young Man?" When he saw Mo Fang approaching his stead, the vendor, a middle-aged man with a waist-length beard, asked him.

"I'd like to sell this beast crystal and horns from a 2-star three-horned boar." Mo Fang answered sincerely.

"How did you manage to kill a 2-star magical beast when you're just a low stage 1-star cultivator with a 1 star body?" The man was curious, so he inquired. It's quite unbelievable, even Mo Fang would not believe it if someone told him that a low stage 1-star could defeat a magical beast as powerful as a 2-star three-horned boar.

That is equivalent to claiming that a normal human being was able to defeat ten lions using only his hands. In the real world, guns and other forms of firepower are present, but in this world, only blades and sharpened pointed weapons exist.

"It took me several hours to bring it down, and I was lucky to survive after suffering several internal injuries and body wounds." He told a lie.

The man looked at Mo Fang, but he couldn't see any signs of injury or internal injuries, he decided to let go of the matter and focus on his business.

"Ok I'll have to check if it's really from a 2-star magical beast." He took them from Mo Fang and examined it.

"All right, it's 1000 bronze credits for each horn and 2000 bronze credits for the beast crystals, for a total of 5000 bronze credits; remember to sell more to me in the future." He smiled as he passed the bronze credit notes to Mo Fang, each one a 500 bronze credit note.

When Mo Fang finally arrived at Mo family, he met different groups of young cultivators practicing martial arts under the tutorage of their seniors.

When they saw him, they began throwing different curse words.

"Hey yo, come check out the Mo family's number one loser who has yet to become a student of the Mo family's sect."

"He is the cursed brat who lacks the trait of our Mo family; who knows if he was an animal who became a human through evil means."

"I heard that if he fails the upcoming sect entrance test next month, he will be kicked out of the Mo family; I can't wait to see that."

"Useless..."

"Loser..."

"Bad brat..."

As usual, he said nothing to them, but his heart was racing. Being weak is a curse, and not being loved is a disaster; it could turn a saint into a cold killer one day, and who knows? Mo Fang may become a cold killer one day because his hatred for humans has grown more than anyone else's.

'The test is in three weeks, and I know I'll be able to reach the peak of the 1-star realm if I absorb blood energies, so I'll definitely participate and pass all the tests with flying colors to shut their mouths.' He reflected to himself.

When he arrived at his house, he was met with disgusted looks from his uncaring father, who was sitting in the penthouse outside their house with a gourd of wine in his hands, his hair black and messy, implying that he was drunk.

Mo Fang did not bother greeting him; if he did, he would not respond, and it's not like he wants to greet he; if it was possible, he would have killed him.

"Arrogant brat, step outside now or I'll chop off your hands, so you've lost your senses and no longer recognize me as your father." Mo Zi, Mo Fang's father, yelled angrily and threw the gourd he was holding away spilling the wine on the ground.

'I don't think I can stay with these people any longer; if I want to improve my cultivation, I need to leave in a calm environment; the technique in my head appears interesting.' Mo Fang reflected after hearing Mo Zi's words, which enraged him to the core.

With a smile on his face, Mo Fang turned to face Mo Zi.

"Oh, you've noticed the need for greetings now, haven't you? But I'm sorry to burst your bubble; I just came here to get my belongings before leaving this stinky place to live on my own."

He scoffed and went inside to get some clothes and his untouched sword sheath.

Mo Zi was taken aback, he became enraged immediately and tried to attack Mo Fang but something powerful held his hands in the air stopping it from moving as he wanted to.

"Who the hell is T...hat, who are you?"
