Her movements resembled those of someone who regained consciousness and then realized they had done something that could kill them.

Her eyes blinked a thousand times before she could finally see the darkness, and her mind quickly recalled that face: the face of Sun Yang, whom she had been assigned to spy on.

'I'm sure Sun Yang knows more about psycho magic than I do.' Mo Fang was intrigued by the power that someone like Sun Yang possessed.

"All right, you can put an end to her now." Sun Yang gave Mo Fang a friendly smile.

A whirlwind of red energies encircled his body and rolled in an anticlockwise direction.

Sun Yang was no longer there after the whirlwind vanished - he had vanished!

Mo Fang sighed as Sun Yang vanished with the whirlwind; he would have loved to ask him a few questions about his technique, and perhaps the dude would even lend him his technique.

'I can't wait to use such techniques in my possession, if I'm to comment, that dude's power was insane and gave me the chills, Sigh, at least I got to absorb the blood energy from this girl,' Mo Fang thought to himself as he approached the masked lady, grabbing his sword from the ground.

"I'm sorry, beautiful one, but I'm grateful for your blood energy right now, Die!" Mo Fang mumbled,

Then he pierced her heart region with his sword, twisting it and shattering it.

Before the lady died, the words Mo Fang said kept repeating in her mind, as did the image of Sun Yang, whom she was terrified of. Unfortunately for her, she didn't even get to see her handsome killer's face.

This is Mo Fang's second kill, the first being that young man, and the second being this masked lady whose name was unknown.

Most people feel guilty after killing someone, but Mo Fang did not; he did not value other people's lives, especially now that he has a system that allows him to use the blood of those he killed to become powerful.

Mo Fang was intrigued by her appearance and identity, so he removed her mask: Her face was a shambles from snorts and tears, her eyes were wide open, and she only had two expressions: fear and regret.

Mo Fang could tell she was carrying something important because she had a bag tied around her waist.

He ripped the bag that was wrapped around her waist, brought it up, and opened it.

Inside, he discovered 5 explosive daggers similar to the ones she'd used earlier when he flashed through the tree, as well as a jade token with her name engraved on it.

"Bao Bao"

However, aside from those two, there was nothing else for him to loot. The lady didn't move with a sword; she only moved with daggers, possibly because she was an assassin or because she enjoyed using them.

'There's nothing I can do, I guess I'll just have to use absorb on her.' "Absorb," he thought before mouthing the word.

The blood evaporated into red energies that flowed into Mo Fang's body as the magical circle appeared beneath the corpse.

[You are on the verge of a breakthrough to peak stage 1-star realm.]

'Awesome.' Mo Fang was overjoyed.

"I should definitely try the blood form of the "Absorbing earth" technique to finally have a breakthrough." Mo Fang reflected to himself.

Within an hour, he had captured and slain a 1-star magical beast and obtained its blood.

He drew a circle with the blood, with a hexagram in the center.

When he was done with it, some of the paths lit up, while others did not.

Vaporized energy began to rise to a maximum height of 0.8 meters.

It was energy, specifically blood energy.

While "Absorb" was automatic, this circle drawing appears to be the real process.

Mo Fang sat closer to it, his eyes closed, entering a state of relaxation.

His mental domain was opened, and his inner eyes went inside to see the mysterious halo fade away.

Mo Fang was absorbing various energies.

Mo Fang absorbed both Qi essence and blood energy at the same time.

Inside his mental domain, the path through which the blood energy passed was naturally red, whereas the path through which the qi essence passed was blue.

Because the blood energy fought against the qi essence, no progress was made.

To balance his cultivation, he must ensure that both the qi essence and the blood energy are balanced; otherwise, he may face problems later on.

Mo Fang did his best to control both the blood energy and the qi essence.

Midnight has long passed, and darkness has made plans to leave the world in the hands of light.

After 10 hours, he still hasn't succeeded: He kept trying, his brow furrowed to show how hard he was trying to make it work.

Nonetheless, 15 hours later, he has finally made progress.

Both energies have started moving together at the moment.

They combined to form a dark energy that entered Mo Fang's mental sphere.

The soul is the core of cultivators in this dimension; in order to increase your cultivation here in this world, you must first awaken a soul and remove the restrictions — the mysterious halo —; once one is completed, others must be unlocked as well; the more you unlock, the more powerful you become.

Mo Fang's soul is currently one step away from completion.

"I'm now a peak stage cultivator; I can now take part in the test in three weeks and show those oldies that I, Mo Fang, ain't no weaklings like they expected; I should go and register now before it's too late." Mo Fang muttered to himself.

....

After three days of hunting in the Sun Ping Forest, Mo Fang decided to return home.

But on his way, he decided to stop and sell the 40+ beast crystals he had with him, 30 of which were from 1-star beasts and the rest were from 2-star beasts that he slayed after reaching peak stage 1-star cultivator.

He sold them to the same old man he met the other day, and the man was so taken aback by Mo Fang's current cultivation that he nearly blanked out.

Mo Fang sold everything he had, earning 57,000 bronze credits in addition to the 3,000, bringing his total net worth to 60,000, which most would consider good.

He returned home, but there was a large crowd of disciples watching something.

Curiously, he went over but he discovered: it was the body of the young man he had killed, still whole as it was, except for his blood stained clothes.

Human and other living things, including plants, do not decay quickly after death in this world where a mysterious essence flows: It could take up to a week for the body to begin decaying, and once it does, the process is quite slow, taking more than two months to complete.

Most of these can be seen in cases where a cultivator is buried and then resurrects without going through reincarnation.

Because of this phenomenon, the body of the young man who died almost a week ago has yet to decay; the wound was clearly that of a sword, the one inflicted by Mo Fang.

"He was unquestionably murdered in the forest by someone wielding a sword." A young lady stated.

"How is this happening now, and why would someone do something like this to him?"

"Yeah, it's been a year since he joined the sect, but he's now dead."

"I'm not sure what's going on either; we should go inform the elders so they can look into it."

Mo Fang mingled with the crowd to hear what they had to say; thankfully, no fingers were pointed at anyone, but his mind didn't rest after that because these were only the words of brainless youth.

'I hope no one discovers I'm the one.'

Mo Fang stepped away from the crowd and made his way to his house.

There was no one along the way, not even a single soul, and he was perplexed. 'Why is there no one here, is that dude someone special in the family?' he wondered.

That could be the case. For the past two years since he reincarnated in this world, no one has been killed or died; this case is the first in a few years, so it was understandable why the youngsters acted that way.

Mo Fang was about to open his door when his ear picked up the sound of light footsteps. He looked around but saw nothing unusual.

To begin with, the area where he stayed was not particularly lively; it was only filled with vacant houses that had not been occupied.

'My instinct is telling me something is wrong,' he reasoned.

Before he could react, three gleaming objects darted through the air, aiming at Mo Fang at such a breakneck speed that he couldn't keep up with his eyes.

One of them pierced Mo Fang's leg as he knelt on the ground, injuring him.

He drew his sword to deflect one, but the final one pierced his hands to aid the wall.

Right now, his left hand has been pierced and is hanging from the wooden door.

"Who the hell is using this against me, Kunai?" Mo Fang muttered in disbelief, his eyes ablaze with rage.

His leg was immobile, as was his right hand; he couldn't even move the valuable part of his body at the moment.

'Who the hell is trying to kill me at this hour?' Mo Fang yelled in his heart, obviously terrified of death.

Phew~

Another weapon was heading his way.

'Am I going to perish?'

'Fuck, I haven't been in this world that long.'

'My objectives are still unfulfilled.'

'How come I have to die now?'

At the sight of the weapon flying his way, various thoughts about death raced through his mind.

'I can't die now,' she says.

Mo Fang yelled, his brow furrowed.

"You can't kill me now, and you can't kill me forever!" Mo Fang yelled so loudly that other people could hear him even if they were far away because his voice was so loud.

Mo Fang's eyes changed from white to red, and his eyeball turned a dark blue color.

Lethal red energies were released from his body, and they looked exactly like the blood energy that he had always absorbed; these energies came out of his body like smoke.

His face was covered in bloodlust.

"Undying Bloodlust," Mo Fang's first use of blood elements, has begun.

Mo Fang stood up like a zombie, despite the fact that the pain in his leg and hand had worsened.

The kunai on the way kept its momentum and pierced right into Mo Fang's body.

"Die!"

Mo Fang yelled loudly, he wasn't himself at the moment, and the system was doing everything it could to inform him of this.

[Warning: Power usage is beyond the capacity of the body.]

[Warning: Power consumption has exceeded the current level]

[Master is advised to stop because the consequences will be fatal.]

..

..

[Warning....]

All of this was going through Mo Fang's head, but he wasn't paying attention; his mind appears to be blocked by intractable rage and fear of death.

The ground beneath him began to crack, as though he was a giant, in each cracks the reddish energy will start flowing up.

.....

In the distance, two elegant figures, a young man and a young woman, were flying through the air in the direction of another city.

Nonetheless, they both came to a complete stop and stared at each other in surprise.

"Someone has released the vampire Monarch's bloodline power." With a surprised tone, the young man said.

He was a man with long flowing silvery hair; his age appears to be in his late twenties, but this is not the case; he could be the oldest person in Sun Ping City right now.

This man was exuding the energy of a 5-star cultivator at the time.

"We'll have to look into that; it appears that millennia of prayers have finally been answered."

An alluring voice came from the elegant lady who was accompanying the young man; she had the same features as the man, but her cultivation was still in the 4-star realm.

"Let us go see for ourselves who the vampire Monarch is and why he is wielding such power right now."
