"[CONGRATULATIONS YOU PASSED THE TEST ]

Jamie Mac smiled as he walked forward to collect his Essay from the desk in the front. The class was all attentive as Miss June, the Literature teacher at Saint High flipped the essay away from Jamie who had just stretched his hand out with pride.

"Jamie, I said you need to revise your work. Your writing is poor and bland."

"But..."

"But what?" Miss June cut him short as she showed him his score, "10 over 100! Pathetic!"

The mark was all visible, shouting out in red as some students placed a sympathetic face for Jamie, who now stood shamefully waiting for Miss June to embarrass him. His heart was torn in two as he couldn't help but just pray for a miracle to happen, his wish was to be the best.

"Just go back to your seat, you need to work on your grammar and flow,"

For the rest of the lecture, Jamie Mac heard nothing more from Miss June as he stared at the red 10 over 100, this was the best score he had achieved in literature so far, why didn't she congratulate me? He wondered as he stopped dreaming of being the best writer in the class.

"WHO!" Jamie suddenly shouted out loud as everyone turned round in bewilderment. He sat upright at the back, now confused why everyone was staring back at him including Miss June. 'Didn't I hear you say I've passed the test?' He wondered as he asked more politely, audibly for everyone to hear while scratching his tempo nervously.

"Sorry... Hmmm...I meant who achieved a first tier in fantasy art?"

His question was answered with a blast of squeaks and mocks as some students tried hard not to laugh.

Why was Monday so weird?

"Jamie! You fell asleep the moment you went back to your chair! All you do is sleep, sleep, sleep, no wonder you are always the last in literature!" Miss June shook her head in displeasure as she swore to report his sleeping habits and lack of concentration to the superiors, which meant his parents.

"Miss June, please don't let my father know..."

Jamie was about to plead but suddenly a huge shadow covered the door as a heavy voice accompanied the gigantic body that walked through, "Know what!"

It was his father, Onesimus.

"Dad..." Jamie was about to plead but his father had long approached him. Something bout his movements was always weird, a second ago he had just entered through the door now he stood towering over him as a heavy blow to his back struck hard.

"WAKE UP!"

The heavy slap crashed his back as a thick drool landed on his notebook creating a huge laugh to erupt in the class.

*****

"Jamie !"

"Mac!"

Miss June stood beside Jamie Mac's desk with her hands akimbo, her face read anger as she warned him for the last time.

"I'm not going to tolerate your sleepiness in my class."

Jamie woke up in fright, hysteria was the right word to say, for his next words made the class add more laughter.

"Did my father slap me?"

His stupidity was taking over the lesson as Miss June tried to calm the class, she had almost burst out into laughter too, if not for the sight of the principal who was walking close by that had brought her back to seriousness.

"Jamie, please calm down, You have been dreaming." She covered her mouth with the palm of her snow-white hand hiding the laughter that was building up. Getting angry at Jamie was meaningless, that dude always woke up mumbling nonsense.

"Everyone please stop." Miss June picked the papers on her desk as she quieted the class, her face turning serious as she looked straight at Jamie ignoring those who could not stop making fun.

"Jamie ?"

"Yes?"

At this moment, Miss June went silent before she lifted a sheet of paper and exclaimed.

"Congratulations! You passed the test!"

But just then, before the class cheered out for him with claps, a more painful sensation cruised through his wrist as he turned around and saw Rachel, his deskmate pinching him.

"Ouch! What's that for? "

"You are sleeping again. " Rachel added more force into the pinch as Jamie couldn't bear it anymore and yelled for Miss June to intervene.

*****

"Ouch! Stop it! "

"You need to wake up! "

Jamie Mac woke up from his surrealist world only to realize it was another dream. He sat in one of the wooden chairs inside his grandma's hut as the storm outside picked up.

"Jamie, Let me tell you an old story about the beginning. " The voice of his grandmother resumed from where he had last heard before he fell asleep. He knew something was off with his mind, he could feel the presence of a second being trying to dominate his body but everything was still oblivious.

"In the third century BC, or let's say during Enochs' time. Iblis and his Angels fell in love with mortal beings. This led to the rise of the Watchers, supreme beings born of man and Angels. This was against The Immortal Law set by The Highest God who overlooked everything. Earth was doomed to fall but Iblis, Leader of now the Fallen Angels from heaven, decided to bring his dead wife, Lilith back to life on earth."

Outside their cabin, the weather turned cloudy and windy. Huge dark clouds swept over the sky across the ranges in the East. It was almost around 3:45 pm, yet the neighbourhood was all tight-lipped, hiding from the huge storm predicted.

"Listen carefully my dear, Lilith was not like any other Angel or demon from the heavens, she was once a human and the wife to Adam, the first man believed to exist." Mac's grandmother talked calmly, her voice was low yet audible over the arising storm.

"The highest God destroyed Lilith referring to her as his first mistake. But Iblis saved her soul from hell and instead stored it in a wooden box that went missing ages before Iblis brought his followers to earth."

"Grandma? Can you just go to the point of why Lilith would be referred to as the first mistake of God?"

"Well, Lilith despite being created for man, fell in love with Iblis in the garden of Mesopotamia. She was offered two fruits as a gift of which she ate one fruit and ate half of the other. Iblis tricked Lilith into sin, and by offering her the fruit of lust and second of knowledge, Lilith became as evil as Her seducer, Iblis." His grandmother went on before she saw her grandson leaning his head on the wall as his eyes-lids began to drop. "Jamie? Wake up. " She tried shaking him up but Jamie had long succumbed again.

****

"Jamie?"

"Jamie?"

"Your father is here, you need to wake up."

Jamie Mac could faintly hear Miss June shaking him up but his body was not responding. He felt stuck in a rift, he wanted to yell for someone to forcibly pull him out but nothing came out of his mouth when he shouted for help. This always happened unexpectedly every day during the literature, he couldn't help but abide by its nature as the so confusing voice that resembled Miss June's shook him up, making him wake from his dream.

"Finally... You up." He saw Miss June sigh as his father's face pulled straight into his view.

"Son. Congratulations! We are heading for the hospital. I think you got a sleeping sickness." Onesimus was happy at the same time sorry for his son's illness. "Say something boy!" He tapped Jamie Mac lightly on his cheeks as they saw his eyes turn blue and a dispassion covered his face.

Mary Town Hospital was just a mile away from Saint High, it didn't take a couple of hours before Onesimus was seen running madly through the corridor with his boy hanging loose on his shoulder as nurses came to the rescue.

"My son is dying! Save him!" the terrified Principal panicked as he followed the nurses into the ICT only to be escorted out.

Minutes turned into hours before the doctor announced the news.

"Your son seems to have fallen into a coma. We can't understand the cause, and the coma doesn't seem to be like a real coma, it's like he just having sleep, we hope he will be awake anytime." The doctor with a pad in hand, was not at the least sounding worried but confident in his words.

"What do you mean?" Onesimus was still trying to digest what the doctor meant when the doctor tapped his shoulder and added.

"I'm also trying to understand your son's state. But I promise he will wake up any time from now."

"How sure are you!"

"Doctor sure!" The old baldy doctor shouted back as a nurse approached him for some medical advice or something like that.

"Did he say his name is Doctor Sure?" Onesmus asked Miss June who simply shook her shoulders and took a seat near the door. "They better cure my boy."

*****

For Mac, terror was eating his soul as a window panel opened in front of his eyes with a sweet feminine voice.
