8 Dilemma

After taking the students to all the important buildings in the school, he brought them to a five floor building that was painted with a yellow color.

"This.."

Baron said as he gestured towards the building

"...is where you will be performing all your academic activities for your first year."

"Wow"

"Woah"

"I can't believe this"

The students exclaimed in surprise as they stared open-mouthed at the building.

'A five-storey building? Just for first years? Could this school get any more impressive?'

Green asked himself as he looked at the magnificent building.

"Every school facility will be provided here ranging from a computer room to an indoor gym to a kitchen to a science laboratory and others..."

Baron said as he led the students through the hallways of the magnificent building.

The hallways were wide enough to contain ten people standing side by side and the walls were painted with a clean yellow color. There was nothing on the walls except for the numerous awards and plaques that were hung there.

Baron still hadn't shown them their classrooms and the last floor remaining was the fourth floor, the highest floor. Leading them through the hallway into the first classroom, they saw a standard computerized classroom, with private computer systems on every desk and a computer board. The classroom was spacious and well ventilated. It was a first-class classroom for students.

Green couldn't hold back his curiosity as he raised his hand to ask a question, Baron had a surprised expression on his face, he had expected the students to be dumbstruck because of the first-class classroom but there he was, a weird looking student with his hand up to ask a question.

"Yes.. what is it?"

"What does the school aim to gain from all these? Providing the best for us, students who are doomed to be outcasts from birth, what does the school stand to gain from all this?"

Green asked honestly

A smile appeared on Baron's face and he said

"I've told you earlier, the owner of this school was once a social reject so out of the goodness of his heart, he has decided to provide the best for other socially rejected high school students all over the world. We all owe our success to him amd his great school."

His answer seemed honest enough but Green still felt that there was something that he was not telling

'Out of the goodness of his heart huh.... I doubt that, life has taught me a lot that I know that most human beings don't give anything when they don't stand to gain anything in return... There must be something fishy here'

They were told to return back to their dorms and that their academic activities would be starting from the next day. As he was about to leave the building, someone walked up to him, it was the boy from the bus

"Hey there bro"

This time, Green wasn't taken unawares so he quickly replied

"Hey"

"I noticed that you were a bit distant back then, was I been too pushy?"

Ryan asked

"No..no..not at all, I was just...."

Green trailed off and decided to let the sentence end there but Ryan obviously wanted to know

"You were just what?"

"Never mind"

Ryan looked at him weirdly and faced forward as they walked out the building in silence.

"What's your name?"

Ryan asked

"...Green"

"Green?"

"Yes... Green"

"Okay..."

Ryan felt the pain in Green's voice when he said his name, he quickly figured that it wasn't an easy task emotionally to handle life without parents. Even Ryan himself had parents but they forced him to come to the school because his social defect was starting to become a pain in the ass to them.

"Where's your friend?"

Green suddenly asked, trying to ease the tension

"Which one?"

"The red head"

"Pfft hahaha"

Ryan burst into hysterical laughter

"What's so funny?"

Green asked, he was obviously confused, he just wanted to say something to ease the tension between them and Ryan was busy laughing like a hyena.

"Haha... I'm sorry... I'm sorry.."

Ryan apologized as he regained composure

"Don't let her catch you calling her a red head or else she'll..."

He said and made a neck slicing gesture to Green.

"Oh..."

Green said while thinking

'Is she that dangerous?'

"So... What's the name of your dorm house?"

Ryan asked

"Um..."

Green had never been a social person so he became skeptical about releasing information about himself to a total stranger. But Ryan was staring at him as if he was expecting candy so Green had no choice but to say it

"White Lion House.."

"Really?!"

Ryan sounded excited

"Yeah"

"Then we're in the same house, that's cool isn't it?"

Green hadn't really expected that one so he was a bit surprised too but before he could reply, he saw two students approaching them with malicious intent, he could tell that they were senior students from their uniform.

"Yeah that's him, the brat that interrupted my fun time"

One of them said as he approached Green and grabbed him by the collar

"He'd be so hard to miss, with the green color all over his body, he looks like a damn Grinch!"

The other one said

Green's was temporarily fazed due to the speed and violence that the senior used to grab him that he didn't recognize the senior at first glance.

"Why are you staring at me like that?"

The senior said uncomfortably and shifted his gaze away from Green's piercing eyes

"Have you forgotten when you barged into my room like it was yours"

"I'm sorry"

Green muttered

"Eh? What did you say? I don't care whether you're sorry or not, when I'm done with you, you'll learn not to mess with me till you leave this school"

The senior said

Meanwhile, Ryan had just been standing there with his head down and his fists clenched, then he suddenly looked up and said

"Let him go"

"Eh?"

The two seniors said almost simultaneously as they turned and looked at Ryan who was looking up at them since they were taller

"Look who's talking"

The other senior who wasn't holding Green said and made to grab Ryan by the collar but Ryan grabbed the senior's wrist with extraordinary speed and strength and began to twist it

"Ah! Ah! Let me go! You animal! Leave my wrist alone!"

He yelled.

In one swift movement, Ryan flipped the senior over his shoulder and onto the tarred ground below them.

"Argh!...Argh!"

The senior on the floor groaned in pain

The one holding Green pushed Green away and rushed towards Ryan but Ryan evaded his wide and careless attack and tripped him making him to sprawl like a bedsheet on top of his colleague on the floor.

"Let's get out of here"

Ryan said as he walked up to Green whom they had thrown on the floor and offered him a hand.

Green was utterly confused, who could have known that this boy who wanted to be his friend could solo two seniors and beat them hands down?

"Are you coming or not?"

Ryan said rather quickly, the seniors were starting to get up from the floor

"I'm coming!"

Green said as Ryan helped him up and they ran away, leaving the seniors behind.

'Was it just me or did Ryan's eye color really change to red when he fought those seniors? Could that be his own flaw? Is he like me?'

Green couldn't help but ponder as they ran away.

Jack was in a five star hotel room that he had rented to stay in for the meantime, he was sitting on the king sized bed and there was an open laptop resting on his laps. He had come across two interesting variables the previous day and he needed to find out about them but there was a little problem.

To know more about the green child with the unknown power, he would have to get into the high school permanently while to know more about the powerful unknown attacker, he would have to stay out here and research about him. He was in a dilemma.

He looked down at the open laptop screen in front of him and saw a notification that quickly piqued his interest

'Substitute math teacher needed @ Wilhelm Stubbe's high school for social rejects'

As he read through it's contents, a smile made it's way to his lips and he said

"Bingo."

He stood up from the bed that he was sitting on

"Here goes nothing"

A scroll appeared on his hand as he retrieved it from his spatial storage, he opened it and read through the contents.

'Okay... The clone seal isn't difficult and doesn't have any side effects, it will last as long as my magic power isn't depleted'

Taking a deep breath, he readied himself and said

[6th Blessed seal: Clone]

Jack felt a warm glow around his body and another of him came out from his back as if they had been standing back to back. The two of them turned and looked at each other and a smile appeared on their faces.

"Good, this is my first time of using the clone seal and I'll admit, it's pretty useful. The two of us share the same thoughts and magic power and I can easily switch my main self between the two... This is good"

Jack 1 said

"Jack 1, you'll be the one going to the school so you'll have to change your face"

Jack 2 said

"Yes, getting into that high school will be tricky. It's not a place where people can waltz in and out without a permit or license..."

Jack 1 said

"And worst of all, it's owned by a member of the fraternity"

"Don't worry, I know how to cross that bridge when the time comes"

Jack 1 said and turned to the door

"Let's get to work"
