Wilhelm was seated on a white luxury couch opposite Tenebris who was seated on another white luxury couch. Between them was a laptop on a glass table that was facing Wilhelm, they were the only people inside the VIP room.

"This better be worth it or else you're going to regret bringing me here"

Tenebris said while observing his fingernails

"It will.... I promise"

Wilhelm assured him with a villainous smile plastered on his lips

"Do you remember..."

He turned the laptop to face Tenebris and he instantly knew that he had hit the mark when Tenebris' expression changed.

"How did you get this?"

Tenebris asked Wilhelm, his eyes were wide in surprise as he watched the video that was playing on the screen, it was a video that showed when him and Jack fell out of the sky into a woody area and how he disappeared immediately.

Wilhelm's smile became wider, it was his turn to show off

"Fortunately for us, the property you fell on belongs to me"

"How does this concern me?"

Tenebris replied inimically

"No no no, don't get me wrong here, I was just trying to answer your previous question..."

Wilhelm's earlier confidence instantly fizzled away at the hostility that Tenebris' words bore.

"I won't ask again"

Tenebris interrupted rudely

"How does this concern me?"

Wilhelm took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a brief moment while thinking. As a wealthy businessman, he used this technique a lot whenever he felt like he was been driven into a corner, he would just take a deep breath, outline his plan again and try another approach.

'Calm down.. calm down, he may be emitting a very thick killing intent but he's still human right? There's no need to shiver at his mere words, I just have to recruit him to defeat Jack and raise my rank in the fraternity. It's just that easy... Just that easy'

Opening his eyes, he said

"I also want to kill the man that you were fighting with in that video"

Tenebris reduced his killing intent, leaving just enough to make Wilhelm behave before asking

"What makes you think I want to kill him?"

"I... just... thought... because... I didn't.."

Wilhelm was evidently flustered, he had just baselessly assumed that Tenebris was fighting Jack because he wanted to kill him.

"Relax... I was just joking"

Tenebris said without even breaking a smile.

"He..he"

Wilhelm chuckled awkwardly,

'Doesn't this guy know that you're supposed to smile when cracking a joke?'

"So... how do you plan on killing him?"

"Have you ever heard of 'seals'?"

Wilhelm asked

"Seals..."

Tenebris trailed off while searching the memory of the man whom he absorbed but he couldn't find anything apart from sea animals and things used to secure other things.

"Do you mean the carnivorous marine animal?"

If he was under normal conditions, Wilhelm would've snickered but he was on a hot seat at the moment so he composed himself and facepalmed before saying

"No... Like magic seals"

"Magic seals? What are they?"

Tenebris asked, this was his first time of hearing such a thing

"In the beginning of time, The Grand Lord created ten seals for his angels to use in the battle against evil, the Grand Devil retaliated by creating ten cursed seals of his own and gave them to his demons, the attrition on both sides that resulted from the battles almost led to humanity's extinction. The Grand Lord regretted creating seals that could cause massive destruction to his creation so he collected all the seals, both blessed and cursed and sealed them away. But for some reason, in the past few decades, we have been able to find these seals inside donjons..."

Wilhelm explained

"Donjons? What are they?.."

Tenebris interjected

"Donjons are pocket dimensions, inside these pocket dimensions, we can find varieties of magic items including the seals..."

Wilhelm explained

"I see"

"So you see... The man you fought at my property, Jack Snow has been a thorn in my flesh, he has refused to allow me access to these seals and that brings me to the deal that I want to propose"

"Which is?"

Tenebris asked

"Mr Bristene, have you ever heard of the saying 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'?"

Wilhelm asked sounding very professional

"Are you proposing an alliance?"

"Exactly"

Wilhelm said as he bent forward and clasped his hands together under his chin.

"I will give you the seals I have and in exchange, you'll kill him for me. Deal?"

He extended his hand for a handshake of agreement

Tenebris looked at the outstretched hand with scorn and Wilhelm's confidence wavered and he withdrew his hand a little.

'I can't believe that I'm negotiating with a puny human but since I'm already neck deep into it, I might as well make the most out of it'

Tenebris thought ruefully

"That's a very one-sided deal, I will do all the hard work and what do you do? Sit in your property and wait for me to fall out again? In case you haven't noticed, that 'Jack' is strong and if you want me to kill him, you'll have to do a lot more than just providing 'seals'"

He said in a low baritone, his voice seemed to carry a certain power that made anybody that head it want to cower in fear.

"Okay okay... What do you want?"

Wilhelm asked, he was quite shocked at the man's uncanny ability to handle deals like this.

"I want a contract whereby I can get anything I want, whenever I want it, wherever I want it. That's my condition to kill Jack"

Tenebris said

"What...?"

Wilhelm stared open-mouthed at Tenebris as he laid out his deal, he was totally flabbergasted.

"Is there a problem?"

Tenebris narrowed his eyes while looking intently at Wilhelm

Once again, he closed his eyes to think

'Should I accept his deal?...

So far, none of us at the fraternity have been able to lay a finger on Jack but this man was able to inflict injuries on him.

After all he's the only hope I have to raise my rank in the fraternity, if he helps me to defeat Jack and I tell the fraternity that I was the one who did it, they would increase my rank exponentially and I would be able to get more finances and backing for my school. This ridiculous deal of his.... Is just a little sacrifice on my part in pursuit of the greater benefits'

A smile appeared on his face as he opened his eyes and he said

"No problem, Mr Bristene, we have a deal"

"Good, now let me see the seals that you have first before we begin"

Wilhelm was about to stand up when he heard Tenebris' request and froze.

"What do you mean? The seal that I have can't be used here! It's too dangerous"

Wilhelm argued

"Let me see it first"

Tenebris shot back

"Okay, but whatever you do, do not use it here. It can cause massive damage"

Wilhelm pleaded as he opened a suitcase that was on the floor beside the glass table and pulled out a scroll.

Tenebris collected it lackadaisically and opened it, Wilhelm expected him to be surprised at the contents of the seal but rather a mocking smile appeared on Tenebris' face.

"What is it?"

Wilhelm asked, silently hoping that Tenebris didn't want to kill him after collecting his prized possession.

"Is this a cursed or a blessed seal?"

Tenebris asked

"A cursed seal...."

Wilhelm said warily while thinking

'Is something wrong?'

"I recognize the writings, I'm the one that killed the Celestial that wrote this seal a long time ago"

His words sounded like a big joke in Wilhelm's ears.

'How can someone who couldn't even kill Jack claim to be the one that killed the Grand Devil? Nobody even knows whether the Grand Devil is alive or dead. It's either that this guy is a lunatic or he's just a bad joker'

"Hehe... Nice joke Mr Bristene but we have a deal going on now right? How do you see the seal?"

Wilhelm asked, changing the topic

"Let's try it out first, shall we?"

Tenebris said and used his dark powers to create a portal that took them to the outskirts of the city, right in front of the huge river that marked the borders of Obsidian City.

"What the...?"

Wilhelm was surprised at the speed of their teleportation

"What are we doing here?"

"Testing the seal, stupid"

"No no no, don't test it in this city, I have a school here please, let's try the next city"

Wilhelm pleaded

Tenebris looked at him angrily before agreeing reluctantly and facing the next city. In between Obsidian City and the next city, there was a huge body of water. Tenebris could just faintly see the buildings of the next city from the shore at Obsidian City.

'Now...which one will I try'

After searching the memories of the man whom he absorbed, he raised his hands up and said
