Chap. 10 The Luckiest Men

"Tsk… he's not here," Magdalena muttered after entering the director's room.

"Mr. Smith is in a meeting, Miss," Adam replied.

"Then? Why are you still here?"

"What do you mean, Miss?"

"You're his personal assistant; you should be by his side right now. Especially in an important meeting."

Adam scratched his non-itchy hair. His boss told him to pick up his fiancé. And now the person he picked up blamed him for not accompanying his boss. All are wrong, and he doesn't know what to do.

"What are you waiting for?" Magdalena was annoyed because her fiancé's intelligent assistant suddenly looked stupid and seemed slow in thinking.

"Okay, Miss." Adam bowed and left Magdalene to follow Jonathan into the meeting room.

Magdalena's gaze was fixed on a reasonably large glass flower vase available on the nightstand in the corner of the room. Magdalena smiled happily. Her famously cold fiancé is actually hot and caring. Even the most minor things can be remembered during his busy schedule.

While humming, Magdalena untied Jonathan's bouquet of red roses, then arranged them into a flower vase.

After placing the flowers, Magdalena sat in Jonathan's oversized chair, waiting for the man to finish attending an important meeting.

Meanwhile, Adam rushed into the meeting room and sat down beside Jonathan.

"Why are you here?" whispered Jonathan after noticing Adam's presence by his side.

"Miss Morris told me to come here."

"Oh," Jonathan returned to listening to a presentation from one of their managers.

"Your fiancé is very considerate."

"I know," Jonathan's lips formed a straight line that no one else could see. It is undeniable that Magdalena's presence gave him a little warmth in his lonely life.

After the meeting, Jonathan left the room, followed by Adam and his personal secretary. Jonathan's steps look relaxed but very authoritative. Every woman's eyes that looked at him would admire him, and the move seemed intimidating to every man who watched him.

"Adam, VVIP French restaurant reservation for two."

"Sir, you want…."

"I pay you to work, not to dictate to me." Jonathan glanced at Adam, who smiled vaguely. Apparently, his personal assistant had dared to interfere in his personal affairs.

"Okay, sir, I will book the best restaurant and provide a quiet and romantic place."

"You..." Jonathan glared at Adam's words which he thought were making fun of him. While Adam nimbly ran away after seeing Jonathan's face, which was already red.

"Miss Rodriguez, clear my schedule until lunchtime is over," Jonathan said to his secretary.

"Yes, sir."

Jonathan opened his room; he gasped to see Magdalene sleeping in his oversized chair soundly. Slowly he closed the door, then approached the girl.

Magdalene is gorgeous. Her skin is pure white, and her eyelashes are thick and long. Her blonde hair was curly and beautiful. Moreover, her lips are red without dye. Her height and body shape are very proportional. The physique that men dream of is in the girl.

Jonathan felt lucky; a girl as beautiful and kind as Magdalene loved him. Though he rarely pays attention to her, the girl stays by his side and always supports his efforts. Not even his future father-in-law, Abraham Morris, had ever interfered with his life at Magdalena's request.

Jonathan took off his coat and wrapped it around the girl. After being satisfied with seeing her fiancé's beautiful face, Jonathan chose to succumb to sitting on the sofa carrying his laptop. After the traitorous purge of the auto-amble branch factory in the western states, he immediately checked the data for the completeness of his latest project. Jonathan wants to produce a new design electric car that will be his flagship product. If this project is successful, the company will be more firmly in control of the country of Azdania.
