5: The man in mud

Matt hadn't gone to the Jewel shop to take the jewel immediately. He remembered having tried out some jobs to see if he was going to be accepted but he didn't get any of them.

So when it was basically evening, He headed to the jewelry house to get the jewelry that Dawns had ordered him to get.

The jewelry building was filled up with many extremely expensive pieces of jewelry that Matt couldn't even imagine purchasing. One was worth three million dollars!

Matt knew this was the typical place set for the rich. And he often comes here to get Selena and Mrs. Dawn's stuff.

He waited for the man who was packing up the jewelry in the takeaways bag while he took his time looking around.

When he was done, the man gave it to Matt who left with it. He didn't pay because Mrs. Dawns had already paid beforehand.

Matt was now on his way home on that quiet night as he boarded a taxi home to his destination.

It seemed like his night was going smoothly as he relaxed in the taxi. But who knew the taxi would end up breaking on the road?

The taxi man had to get down and see what was the problem while Matt waited in the car.

For a while, he was feeling uneasy about staying here with this stranger and this expensive jewelry! He feared he'd be a robber!

And, This street was lonely.

He got down from the taxi after a while of thinking "Don't worry about me, Sir! I'll be on my way home myself!"

He had paid the full money and had headed off home. He was probably gonna trek home since it was typically a thirty minutes walk.

But on his way, He had seen some crowd gathered and looking at something. It was at a construction sight and I was curious to know.

I stepped ahead and then saw a huge muddy hole beneath. everyone, there was staring at a drunkard who had fallen into the mud and was still talking trash.

No one wanted to help him but rather insulted the man for being a useless drunkard. But Matt wanted to help him.

"Hey! Take my hands!"

All were surprised as to why this man wanted to help this drunkard. They simply watched as the drunkard looked at him.

The Drunkard was now looking at this man as though he knew him. And the drunkard had stopped making a fuss in the mud and looked up at him.

"Who....are you?" The drunkard had asked like one who knew Matt.

Matt was confused. He had his hands stretched out but yet this drunkard whom he wanted to help wasn't interested in taking his hands but rather asking him questions

"You probably don't know me, Sir. But I wish to help you so...Take my hands "

The drunkard had looked at him for a while again before getting out his hands to hold onto him but then had pulled Matt into the mud as well!

That was basically when he was covered up in mud including the takeaway bag in his hands. Everything was now covered in mud and he couldn't do anything about it.

Even the drunkard was laughing for no reason.

This made him wonder if This man was insane or what?!

Everyone there was watching in amusement. No one wanted to help out. But rather the policemen had arrived and helped them out of the mud.

Pisses off, Matt had regretted helping this man! Now, he was probably going to get into trouble!

He didn't even waste much time but had walked his way off covered in mud.

"Crazy"

Matt Dawns had let out a heavy sigh as he stared at the ceiling above his bed. He rolled in bed for a while as he waved the thought of what had happened earlier that night.

Luckily he had escaped the punishment tonight and believed that he wouldn't meet that man again. So for him, That was another obstacle he had to encounter.

Having stayed here long enough, Matt could at least tell the basic personalities of the family member who lived in this mansion.

First of all, he was made to know the Family of the dawns which were almost one of the richest families in the country! Along with other politically inclined families.

But the funny thing was that they were not even involved in politics or so. The Father of this house was The CEO of a certain company that happened to have many branches around the country. He was the sole owner of all.

He was well known for his successful businesses and the power he held in the country making his family members popular celebrity-like figures in society. Except him.

Matt could recall the moments when important political figures had visited them at their place and even when they had met up with mayors and even the president once!

Matt couldn't explain how powerful these people who often appeared in news were.

But Mr. Dawns was a low-key man who was hardly seen. He couldn't even remember the last time they talked. He was always away just like now that he was on a business trip.

He had a wife in Mrs. Dawns who was as extravagant as their first daughter, Selena Dawns. Both had similar personalities.

And then Mr. Dawn's Grandma almost had the same concealed personality as Mr. Dawn. She might be old and Called Granny but she didn't seem stupid. Rather she was also active in business like his son.

Matt hadn't had much to do with Their first child and son who often came home and left as soon as he got what he wanted - Money.

To Matt, he seemed like a prodigal son living his own life somewhere else and always returned When he needed more.

Based on what He knew, He was still single but kept on changing girlfriends as though he was changing clothes.

Matt wasn't interested in knowing much about him so he didn't bother knowing his name.

On a basic note, This was likely what He knew about those who lived in the Dawns family. Matt too wasn't interested in poking around Into Their issue too.
