Chapter 10

Chapter 10

“You all are horrible, Abigail is no better than any of you. If speaking even, she learns from the best.”

Lorraine had voiced out in anger, the least her family could do is just give her husband a chance. A chance to prove himself different, a chance to prove them wrong. That’s all she asked for, all she truly needed from them to give to her and her husband.

But why wouldn’t they do that, why would they keep degrading him at any given moment? Can’t they look at the positive side of things? Is it that hard for them to do.

“Lorraine-“

“No! Not a word from any of you. Not a single word.” Her index shot up, cutting the words that were too come out of Charlotte’s mouth short.

She lowered her eyes in anger, traveling round the room with hate and disdain emitting strongly from her gaze.

“This same man treated my face, made me look this beautiful, when it was you all that originally invented that ugly look. Or have you all forgotten all the horrible things you all did to me? The harsh words, the unnecessary hitting? Have you all forgotten? Are you all that damned or jinxed not to see my happiness? Huh?”

Lorraine had moved from where she was standing and to the center of them all. Her eyes blazing with anger as she addressed them all.

“Lorraine we won’t have you disrespect us like that!” Oscar stood up, calling her niece’s action out.

Hearing that Lorraine turned, diverting her full attention to Oscar who confronted her. “Why? Have you all ever show me respect? Respect is said to be reciprocal isn’t it? But all you guys have ever done is disrespect me, but I call your actions out today, and I become the bad guy.” She laughed sarcastically, nodding her head sideways and her arm slicing dramatically through the air.

“Abigail was here, she called him dumb,” Lorraine pointed at Vance, “But I, I spoke now, speaking out loud to you all about my feelings, and it’s disrespectful, whereas my dear cousin, called her dear uncle right here a dumbass, what should that be called? An act of dignity or a title that depicts honor?” Lorraine spoke out with anger, and sarcasm backing up her each statement.

Everyone couldn’t speak, or find a suitable response to what she said. Digesting in what Lorraine said, they knew she was right. What does it take for them to apologize and realize their mistake? But instead they chose to be ignorant about it and stay mute.

“I don’t know if this is a family, or just a group of people related by greed and possess the same narcissistic behavior.” As the words came out of her lips, a naturally enhanced shocking gasp fell down everyone’s lips as the words pierced their ears deeply.

Lorraine waited for no response or any confrontation from anyone as she ignite her legs, walking out of their midst with everyone’s gaze following her out. Oscar who was still on his feet sat back down.

With how awed and speechless everyone seemed, perhaps Lorraine’s words had gotten beneath their cold facade now, making them all rethink all of their actions perhaps.

In the Wilson’s Mansion. At Richard Wilson’s office, the young master.

He sat there relaxed on his chair, a glass of champagne in his hand as he took his time before taking a sloppy sip, he gazed into nothing with negative emotions eating up his face.

He stared into the space of his office with anger, mixed with vengeance, his thought dribbling about his encounter with that man. He threatened him and he was going to make sure those threats came to pass.

He wouldn’t back down without a fight, there was a reason to why he’s one of the most feared young men in EastHill, a reason to why he’s one of the powerful young men in EastHill.

He rubbed his finger, the one he had twisted the other night, a white bandage wrapped around it. That fueled his heart for revenge the more, he ridiculed him.

Although his father told him not to try anything, not to do anything until the Dragon General who is said to be coming to be back. His father wanted him out of any trouble, because he doesn’t know who and who isn’t associated with the Dragon General. So when he arrived, they do there digging, and can their life normal if they want to.

A knock came landing on his door, interrupting his dark thought of avenging his honor that was derided by Avon.

“Can I come in young master?” A voice questioned, from outside the door asking for permission into Richard’s office.

“You may.” He retorted, composing himself well and deleting his appearance that hint on his actions moment from now.

The latter opened the door walking in, upon seeing the face of who walked in, Richard’s hidden demeanor flaunted out.

“What do you have?” He questioned, his tone drenched in passion for chaos that drags nothing but revenge.

“The man you told me to search about, after much digging, we found nothing about him. Except that he was a retired soldier, one that doesn’t really have a background.” His response was shaky, fixing his trembling gaze on the ground so as not to attract an unwanted attack from his temperamental boss.

“What do you mean he doesn’t have a background?”

“Young master, we searched and searched, there was nothing tangible gotten out from him. Except that he’s a retired soldier, aside that nothing else is known about him.” He gave another response, avoiding his master’s fiery gaze at all cost.

In his present condition, it could cost him a day or more in the hospital if he doesn’t watch his words. He needs to be careful and well contorted.

“What do you call his name again?”

“Avon Cadensky.”

“Find out where he lives, his relatives, his family and get them all. I want them on their feet, apologizing to me in exchange for their lives. Do it now!” He said in a shout, his face squeezed shut in anger as he yelled at his personal assistant.

He jerked backwards at the sudden burst out, without wasting any second he scurried out of the room, out of the office. His expression quickly falling into despair.

What has he gotten himself into? The man he’s tasked to find is one hell of a ghost in human form. Who could be?

Those thoughts dabbled in his head as he stride back to where he came from.
