“Would you like to leave now, Young Master?”

The bullies presently snapped out of their shock when they heard Morris’s voice. Even though they were shocked to death, this was not the time to sit around and do nothing. At least they had to persuade Rex to keep their family company safe.

Alexis, one of the bullies, kneeled and placed his hands on Rex’s feet. With a trembling voice, he said, “The reason I bullied you all this time is that Julio forced me.”

One person had betrayed Julio, and it made him clench his fists in hatred. “What are you talking about, Alexis? Aren’t you also enjoying when we bullied Julio?” he asked scornfully.

“I wouldn’t have done it if I wasn’t forced by you!” Alexis denied those words while gripping Julio’s shirt collar. “You are the real culprit! You forced us to bully Rex and always threaten others using your father’s name.”

Chelsea, who had been silent for a while, suddenly got an idea because she heard Alexis’ words. After all, his words sounded reasonable. It was a fact when people said that Julio always forced others to bully Rex.

The only way to get out of this problem was to put all the fault on Julio. Maybe that would ease Rex’s anger. Rex had always been known as a good person. That was why there was still a chance he would forgive the person who bullied him.

“I-I was also forced by Julio!” exclaimed Chelsea, startling the bullies.

They knew the prank plan was made by the girl. However, look at what happened now. The girl shamelessly grabbed Rex’s hand and blamed Julio for her evil plan.

“That’s not true!” Julio immediately defended himself. He hastily snatched Chelsea and threw her on the floor. “You were the one who told me to do this prank. How dare you twist the facts!”

Chelsea grasped her knee, which hurt from hitting the floor, and started to sob. It was a fake cry. Her knee did hurt, but it was a typical pain that would not even cause a child to cry. The reason for her crying was to gain sympathy from Rex.

“Look, Julio is being mean to me again! He forced me to be his girlfriend and did bad things to you. I’m telling the truth. You trust me, right? We’ve been close friends in college,” Chelsea explained, hugging herself as if she was scared by something.

Julio could not contain his anger when he saw how his lover betrayed him so easily. Without a second thought, he raised his hand to slap Chelsea’s face. However, the slap did not come to pass because someone was holding his hand.

It turned out that someone was Rex. His gaze was frightening as he spoke. “Who told you to make such a fuss here? You think you’re still Julio Maxwell, the son of the richest man in this city?”

“N-no. I didn’t mean to make a fuss,” Julio replied, cursing inwardly because his voice was trembling with fear.

Meanwhile, Chelsea secretly smiled and stood up to hug Rex’s hand. She thought Rex wanted to help her because he still had feelings for her. “Thanks for helping me!” 

Rex groaned in anger and pushed Chelsea to the floor again. With an expression of disgust, he rubbed his hands that were being hugged by the girl, as if their touch would have a bad effect on his hands.

“I didn’t mean to help you. I held Julio because I didn’t want to hear any more noise,” said Rex, glancing at Chelsea for a moment and then at Alexis, who shuddered in horror. “And you....”

“Yeah, me? W-why?” Alexis directly interrupted out of curiosity, hoping that Rex would forgive him.

“You think I don’t know that you got money from Julio after beating me? I know that you all bullied me willingly, not by force.”

“Th-that’s a misunderstanding! You must know how cunning Julio is. He forced others to obey him. Therefore, please don’t destroy our family company. Just punish Julio!”

The bullies who kept quiet began to blame Julio for not wanting to be poor.

“Alexis is telling the truth! We were forced by Julio to bully you.”

“I also received money from Julio, but I had to because I was afraid of being beaten by him.”

“Julio used dirty tricks on us to bully you. That’s the truth. He’s the only person who deserves punishment!”

Julio’s ears burned at all the accusations thrown at him. All the accusations were wrong because people came to him of their own accord and bullied Rex. “Shut up! You are all liars!” he exclaimed.

“You think anyone is going to defend you here?” said Alexis with a crooked smile. “Everyone has admitted that you are a thug! How can you still deny it?”

“You...!”

Julio did not continue the debate because Rex grabbed his shoulder. With a trembling voice, he asked, “W-what do you want?”

“I want to leave. All your bullshit won’t work on me,” Rex told, turning the bullies’ faces pale in an instant.

Then he walked away, followed by Morris and his bodyguards. The bullies chase after him to apologize. However, he ignored them by saying nothing. He kept his mouth shut even after getting into the car Morris had prepared outside the hotel.

Five years ago, Rex left the Quillon family because he wanted to lead a normal life. He was bored with the life of a rich person, which he found very troublesome. When he walked outside, everyone would stare at him for his clothes and vehicles.

Rex did not like the attention of other people. Therefore, his parents had not shown him to the public, making people wonder what the heir of the Quillon family would look like. In the Country of Histrio, the influence of the Quillon family was immense and almost everyone knew about them.

When an official needed help, they would come to the Quillon family. Even the underworld had ties with that family. All business people know them. No one did not know the Quillon family in the business world.

The Quillon family had many businesses, but the most famous of them was their worldwide food company. Everyone wanted to be heir to the family. However, Rex instead left the superfamily and changed his identity to the poor Rex Hart.

“Are you done having fun, Young Master?”

Rex stopped daydreaming when he heard a woman’s voice. It was the voice of Molly, his bodyguard, who had not come into the hotel because she was waiting in the car. Even though she was 35 years old, she looked so youthful that people would be surprised after finding out her real age.

“I had no idea,” Rex replied to Molly, who was sitting in the front with Morris.

Molly glanced at the young master through the rearview mirror and took a deep breath. “I think you’ve had enough fun to call Morris to help you. You’re going back to the family, right?”

“Of course. I have agreed with my father. If I ask Uncle Morris for help, then I have to go back to the family.”

“That’s good news. But I’m not satisfied with something yet. Why did you keep the rats alive? They will continue to roam around and become pests.”

The nickname of rats for Julio and the bullies made Rex chuckle. With a mysterious smile, he replied, “I won’t let the rats off so easily. They have to suffer because they messed up the rice fields I’ve been managing for a long time.”
