Chapter 2

Aster kept trying to persuade his friends to keep going down to the middle of the forest even though they didn't get the approval of the three friends.  Aster is sure that the deeper he goes through the forest, he will definitely get a clue.  However, this opinion raises various objections.

"No Aster, I'm afraid that if we keep going into the forest, our lives will be at stake. I don't want to die young. What I want is that we can get out of this strange forest, it's all because you! I will still blame you, until everything returns to the way it was!"  cried William in an annoyed tone.

"If you want to go home, go home with Jeslyn. I will stay here to look for clues to return Audrey back to being a person. Hurry up and go home with Jeslyn. I will stay here," Aster said while holding the rabbit which was a transition from Audrey.

Hearing Aster's words, made Jeslyn feel sorry for her and decided to keep following the trail into the middle of the forest, while William decided to head back to his car.  When William was about to walk, his feet were caught by the roots of a large tree that could also speak.

"I will not let you go. Whoever has entered this forest, they will not be able to get out. You must become the inhabitants of this witch forest. You humans, must become animals in order to be immortal in this forest, I will turn your tail into a weasel!"  the tree root said while emitting a red light towards William's body.

Instantly William's body turned into a black weasel and the tree roots returned to their original state.  Meanwhile, Jeslyn and Aster were only surprised when they saw William's body which also changed form.  The feeling of self-blame is getting worse.  Every now and then he beats his body for the guilt.  Seeing her friend hurt her body, made Jeslyn feel sorry and comforted her.

"Aster, we live alone as humans. I followed you through the forest to look for clues. I hope you don't hurt your body again," Jeslyn said while holding William who turned into a weasel.

Now there are only Aster and Jeslyn who still survive as humans.  The two of them continued to walk through the forest which was very dark and crowded due to the sound of the trees that kept talking to them.  To the extent that the leaves also invited him to talk.  Until their journey came to a river whose water emitted a purple light.  Jeslyn was surprised to see the river.  Finally they walked to the river in the middle of the forest.

Arriving at the edge of the river, Aster, who had been feeling thirsty, finally drank some water from the spring next to the river.  Seeing Aster drinking water carelessly, Jeslyn scolded him.

"Aster, why are you drinking water carelessly? You have to think about taking action, don't be like this!"  Jeslyn snapped while grabbing Aster's shoulder.

"I'm sorry Jeslyn. I'm very thirsty and the water is also very clear not purple, I'm sure I'll be fine!"  Aster answered Jeslyn's words casually.

After drinking the water from the spring, someone heard someone asking for help.  Aster, trying to find the source of the sound around him.  Meanwhile, Jeslyn did not hear any sound at all.  Aster's footsteps stopped under the golden tree.  He looked around the tree and finally he saw a squirrel with legs stuck in the hole.  He immediately lifted the squirrel's body.

"Thank you for helping me. My name is Queen Louis, actually I am a witch who was changed by a big tree branch there, please find my golden wand that fell at the bottom of the river!"  said the squirrel to Aster which managed to surprise Aster and also Jeslyn.

Hearing the words of Queen Louis, Aster did not reply to his words and immediately looked for the stick in question at the bottom of the river.  While Jeslyn just followed him from behind.

In the midst of the rushing river, Aster finally saw a golden light that broke the river's flow with purple light.  With careful steps Aster took the stick and began to plunge his feet into the shallow water.  Again the water turned out to be able to talk and flowed water so fast that it made his legs unable to withstand the flow of the river.

Just as he was barely able to withstand the rush of water, his hand managed to grab the golden rod that was carried away by the current and stuck to the rock. He immediately wanted to return to the riverbank. But the river water was getting heavier and Aster couldn't hold her legs anymore while carrying Queen Louis in the form of a squirrel.

Seeing Aster who had been carried away by the river current, made Jeslyn cry on the bank of the river. Because the only friend who is still human is him. Meanwhile Queen Louis is trying to save Aster from the rushing water with her spell.

"Lalabana saka! Lalabana saka!" shouted Queen Louis who recited her magic spell and was still in Aster's hand.

Instantly the flow of the river stopped. But Aster fell limp from the cold. Queen Louis who saw it, immediately grabbed Aster's body and cast a spell to restore her body.

"Lalabana saka!" Queen Louis again cast his spell on Aster's body.

Aster immediately felt healthy again and thanked Queen Louis. But unfortunately, it turns out that Queen Louis's body is still a squirrel. Out of curiosity, Aster asked again.

"Queen Louis, why is your body still a squirrel? How can I get it back to the way it was?" asked Aster curiously.

"The stick you are holding, point at my body. Put it, my body on the ground recite the spell 'lalabana saka' I will definitely change shape. Do it now!" cried the impatient Queen Louis.

Aster immediately obeyed what Queen Louis said and immediately put it on the ground. Although there was a feeling of fear, he immediately cast the spell.

"Lalabana saka!" shouted Aster while pointing a wand at a squirrel who was the embodiment of Queen Louis.

Instantly Queen Louis turned into a beautiful woman wearing all black.

"Thank you Aster, you have changed my form. Now it's my turn to help you. I will definitely do it for you. What will you ask of me?" Queen Louis said while holding his wand.

"I want to go home and return my friends to normal human beings," Aster replied with a tremor.

"Okay, but you can't leave this forest until you learn witchcraft. One of you must graduate from magic and get the title of king," Queen Louis said with a sardonic smile.

Hearing Queen Louis' words, there was no other choice to refuse the offer. Aster immediately agreed and walked towards Jeslyn who was still standing by the river crying. Aster immediately called Jeslyn's name gently.

"Jeslyn, don't cry anymore. I'm right behind you!" said Aster slowly.

Jeslyn immediately looked back while wiping her tears.

"Aster, are you still alive? Am I not dreaming? Who is that woman?" Jeslyn asked curiously.

"My name is Queen Louis. I am a witch in this forest. I will not hurt you or you as long as you do what I say," it was not Aster who replied to Jeslyn's words but Queen Louis who immediately replied.

Hearing Queen Louis' words, made Jeslyn's heart feel scared. But there was no other choice but to obey him.
