2.

On my way back to the dorm, I was still trying to understand what had just happened. Graf's offer was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. How can a person who only plays video games be paid so much? While I usually only get 3 million rupiahs in a month. I only got this full salary in the fourth month, while I only got 1 million in the first until third months I work. This first 3 month is called the training period.

I felt fooled because I'd always thought that games were just a pastime and a way to kill my free time. It turns out that a game could be extremely profitable. "Shall I take it?" I couldn't just say no $85.000 is too much to refuse. But if I accepted, how would I explain to my parents what job I got after finishing my post-graduate program? I would be at a loss for words.

Graf gave a two-day limit for me to consider his offer. I have to think about it carefully. I learned from him that some things that might be trivial can be very dangerous, just like this game. I'm afraid I'll begin to think of it as my second home. Then get addicted to it and end up like him.

I immediately turned on the computer and checked the contents of the memory card Graf had given me. When I opened it, there were six folders, each one named by a number from 1 to 6. A message arrived just as I was about to open one of them, the message from Graf. He asked me to only open folders 5 and 6. At first, I thought 1 until 6 was the year, and I was right. Within each folder, there are 12 other folders named after the months from January to December. The contents of each folder are named by month, there are 29 until 31 other folders each.

When I opened one of the folders, there was a video of Graf playing 9 Guardians. I became immediately drawn to the game's graphics when I first saw it. This is different from the games I'm used to playing. Graf is faced with a monster that looks like a piranha in one of the videos. In the beginning, he explains what will be gotten by killing these fishes and how to kill by area skill to maximize the drop item. I began to be interested in this game, ignoring the salary that I would get.

1 hour 2 hours 3 hours... every hour went so fast. I had not even realized I'd been watching every video for around 7 hours. I forgot to eat, shower, and tired because I had to run from the college hall to the hospital during the graduation ceremony. Everything just disappeared, and my mind was filled with scenes of Graf's 9 Guardians play, beautiful scenery of wilderness, unique monsters that I've never seen, and Graf's battle scene. Watching the video is just like watching episodes of a fantasy movie that I can't get bored of.

"It's a cool game! Should I just take his offer?" If I say 'yes', I'll have to be adept at managing play and work schedules. I can't quit my job and disappoint Graf at the same time.

I woke at 8 A.M. after only 2 hours of sleep. I must hurry prepared to go to the hospital. Bring anything the creature might require, especially food. I have 5 days in the dorm before going back to my hometown, but my schedule will be busy while still in Malang. I had to pack and send my computer and bike home first, complete the graduation documents, and eventually buy the train tickets.

"The nurse said I can come home in 3 days!" He said, looked more alive than the previous day. I could see that stupid smile on his face again.

"Good."

"Neo just arrived. If you agree, he asks you to install the application soon. Everything will be explained to you by Neo. You are allowed to continue your work because Neo is generally online after 8 P.M."

“Wait…! Isn't your account you gave me?! Then how did you log in?” 'Is he tricking me?!'

"I have more than 90.000 accounts with 20 as main accounts, but Monck is the first account I have created."

'Is he normal?!' Not in the game, not in real Graf really... a species that's really hard to describe. "I really can't guess what's going through your head," I gave in.

Graf laughed at my words. Whatever crazy things he had done, seeing him laugh and live as he did now made me calm to leave him in Malang and back to my hometown. "You just need to play about 4 hours a day. I suggest taking an archer job. When compared to a mage, this is the cheapest and the easiest job but has main skill with high damage dan full ailment skill. Archer was always sought after in every battle, event, and guild war. He's a powerful damage dealer and has skill with damage areas, although his survival abilities aren't as good as some melee DPS (Damage Per Second). I have a powerful bow and I will send it later to your account. Learn to play this game properly; there is no need to rush!"

"I haven't said that I will accept the offer!"

“But I knew you would agree!” He's too confident.

Graf was right; I need the money. Besides that, I enjoy the game. "I'm not sure I can do it. Despite Neo's claims that it was an easy game, there are many calculations like critical damage, critical rate, lethal damage, and many more instances. This game also has a very low crafting success rate. The health point (HP) of DPS is low, this condition making bethel with the monsters in this game extremely difficult. In my opinion, this game is quite odd!".

Graph looked at me confused. "Does it mean?"

“We deal massive damage, but the enemy's damage to us hasn't even reached 1 million. It's about 0-500.000. Then the health points of most players are very small, about 1.000 until  30.000 so it's difficult for us to survive in the bethel. In my opinion, to play 9 Guardians we must have good survival ability. This condition is out of balance," I tried to say what was going through my mind.

"That's why we play in a team," Graf replied, his smile ambiguous. "You'll understand when you play this game!" I'm not so sure. "In a team each player is unique, and they each have their roles that other players can't replace," I didn't know this.

"Can I ask a question?  How much would that account price if Monck wasn't hacked?" I saw in the trading application that this game's accounts can be traded, which means..."

"More than the money you will receive!"

"WHAT?!" How could that be?! "How..." I didn't know how to say it.

 "Han, do you like coffee?"

"Yes!"

"How much did you spend on the coffee machine and all of your coffee so far?"

"To this day maybe 20 or 30 million..." I am a coffee addict.

"For me, it's a useless thing for people to do when they can buy 20 or 30 thousand per glass at a café!" Those were painful words for a coffee lover like myself. "I know what you think about me right now, and believe me, it's the same thing I'm considering about you when it relates to coffee. Trust me!"

“Sorry, but I really like coffee!” My mother was angry when I bought a packet of Kopi Luwak 4 months ago.

"Same with me. Monck is 7 years of my life!”

“Sorry!” When I apologized, Graf actually laughed..

"It doesn't matter. Everyone is unique!” Yes,  he was right with all those magic words

"Yes. I understand now. How can it be that expensive? That's more expensive than my coffee machine,” I'm really curious.

He laughed again. "Of course, there is a price, there's quality. Monck has the maximum number of character-level cap slots available. Maximum storage and inventory capacity. Also have 20 million mana materials!" I tried to understand what Graf means. "Maybe you still do not understand now. Everything needs a process. Learn about how to play this game and obey Neo's instructions!".
