THE KID WHO SAW HIM

Griffin scratched the back of his. What the hell was he supposed to do now?

He didn't mean to upset George but the again, he couldn't work on this case case alone!.

There was so many things to do and more people kept on dying.

Nothing about this case was adding up...except maybe one thing though.

Miss Amanda! All these people were connected to her. Could it really be that she's the real killer?.

Just then Griffin's phone rang and he prayed silently for it to be Doug. He needed a clue at least.

This case was so much more difficult that anything he'd solved in his life!.

He took a big sigh of disappointment as he saw that it wasn't Doug but rather Tony.

"Come here, right away!." Tony snarled before the line went beep.

Griffin sighed before walking out to hail a cab and taking off to his workstation.

He made his way straight to Tony's office where George could be seen standing.

"You called for me?"

"You and your partner had a fight?"

"I apologized"

"Anyways, I'll look to see if there's anyone I can pair him with but you two would have to keep working together for the main time".

"I'll only keep working with Griffin under one condition, sir"George finally spoke up.

"And what's that?"

Griffin sighed deeply. They were running out of time! ". We have the murder of three dead people, is there still time for this?"

Tony nodded his head. He'd always loved how dilligent Griffin was with his work. "You two can go now"

Outside Tony's office, George held Griffin's hands. "Have you gone to check on Miss Christina?"

"You said we should tell her. I didn't want to to avoid this and now, you want us to comfort her? You can sgo see her and do so, I'm out of here". Griffin hailed for a cab before driving off

Later that night, Christina jolted up once again at her terrible nightmare.

She wassn't sure if it was the lightning that woke her up this time but that nightmare..that was twice this night!

She headed to the kitchen to get a glass of water but her shaky hands made the glass break.

"Where's my head?" She said as she crouched down to pick up the glass but it mistakenly pierced her skin.

"Ah" she cried as she saw blood slowly sliding down her finger.

She sat on the ground as she wept aloud. Her daughter was dead!

She couldn't believe it! And what was worse was that it was her homeroom teacher, Miss Amanda who had done it!.

"It's all my fault. I shouldn't have taken her to that school". She quivered.

Her phone rang almost immediately making her scurry towards it in a hurry.

As pitiful as it might sound, she was still wishing that it was news that he daughter was alive. "Hello?"

"Miss Christina listen to me, carefully"

"You" Christina said recognizing the voice.  It was Amanda!"You killed my daughter and you are telling me to listen to you? You have the nerve to call me!"

"I didn't kill Amanda but I know who did!"

"Of course you know who did because you killed her!"

Getting nowhere with their conversation, Amanda sifted her hands through her head. "Listen to me carefully, you atleast have to survive this night before I tell you everything. Pack your bags and leave. I'll send you a safe address, stay there until things clear up".

Christina laughed aloud. "Rot In hell" she snarled before throwing her phone across the room.

She moved to pick up a broom where she packed up the broken glasses and tossed them in a can.

The rain poured more fiercely sending her windows to forcefully open.

She walked towards the window and closed them shut. On a normal day, she wouldn't notice the window open till the next morning because Maria was always scared of lightning.

Right now, she should have been reading Maria one of her favorite books and putting her to sleep and then she'd hum her favorite lullaby before sleeping next to her, wrapping her in her arms.

Christina stiffled her sobs with her hands. She'd make sure they catch Amanda and punish her!

She turned around to head to her room but just as she turned around she saw a big figure draped in black raincoat approaching her.

She backed away in fear. "Who are you? How did you get into my house?". As she backed away, she looked around for her phone. Where on earth did she fling that thing to!?.

"You are looking for me, aren't you? I'm the one who killed you daughter. What do you say? Would you like to join her?" The man asked with a deep voice.

It wasn't his usual voice. It sounded robotic, it was obvious he was using a voice changer.

As the black figure approached her, Christina finally noticed the huge hammer in his hand.

"Stay away from me" she said in a shaky voice. "help me, somebody!" She screamed.

The man smiled. "Like Mother like daughter"

When Christina saw that she wasn't far from the window, she turned towards it to open it and make a run for it but the huge hammer had come in contact with the back of her head sending her falling to the ground.

He raised up his hammer once more and bashed it on her head. You can never be to careful with your victims.

He searched around for her phone and saw the message Amanda had sent.

It was such a shame that he couldn't kill Amanda before she'd escaped but now that it seems like she knew his identity, he would have to kill her soon!.

He cleaned the traces of blood on the floor before pocketing her phone. He contemplated whether he was wise to leave a message that she was got far away but decided it wouldn't be necessary.

No one came to visit her anyways!

He wrapped Christina in a black duffel bag and dragging her out of the house.

Unknown to our careful killer, the little boy next door who couldn't sleep due to his fear of lightening had seen him coming out of the house, while dragging Christina's body all draped his his black raincoat and blood seeping down his hand.

The lightning had struck once more and made his face visible to the little lad.

"That man.." Aaron dragged out. He recognized that man!.
