Homeless

~ ~ Ryan ~ ~

"What is going on here?" The owner of the coffee shop intervene, coming to the rescue of Asher.

"Why were you here with a mad man in the first place?" The owner question.

Asher glared at the man, "This is my boss you crazy mf!" He wanted to scream but Ryan abruptly released his grip on him and stood up.

"I'm sorry for taking your time, thanks for listening to my story." Ryan said robotically and walked out of the shop.

Asher flexed his fingers unconsciously, trying to reduced the pain he was feeling from where he was gripped, "Try to mind your business next time?" He snaps at the owner and runs after Ryan but when he got outside, Ryan was nowhere to be found. It was like he vanished into thin air.

Asher sent another curse word the owner's way, tuts as he makes his way to his car.

The company ain't coming up the way he expected it to, and he is really ashamed to tell Ryan about it but now that Ryan would seen take over, it means he would start looking at things and take control from the sidelines. That should help the company rise up to enough fame as it should be.

Ryan sat at the bus stop, waiting for a bus that will take him to the grocery store.

Someone suddenly sat beside him, he need not to look at who it was for him to know.

"Are you stalking me now or what?"

"This is more than I expected from you? A cleaner? As if your clothes aren't enough, you had to dress this way too?"

"Cut your critics and go back to where you are coming from." Ryan tells her coldly.

Eleanor sat comfortably, her private investigators finally made their selves useful. She doesn't know why she find herself keeping coming back to this man even with his bad attitude.

Maybe because one part of her loves to take on a challenge. If she can successfully groom and tame him, it would be jackpot for her.

First she needs to make him social, he is too antisocial.

"I am married." His words replayed in her head, causing her to frown a little. How could be forget about that vital piece of information. It shouldn't matter that he's married, that wouldn't stop her from fighting for him.

"Ughh... That's weird!!" She groaned inwardly.

"You say you are married, isn't it?"

"I didn't know my marriage life now interests you." Ryan replies slyly.

"I'll take that as a yes. Who is she?"

Ryan turns to face her, staring at her coldly, "Who will leave first? Me or you?"

Eleanor openly groaned, "Why is he such a tough nut to crack??!"

She internally cried and made a mental note to check who Ryan is married to.

A person who obviously doesn't care about her husband's appearance, one part of Eleanor hoped it was a loveless marriage, at least then she wouldn't feel any guilt if she snatches him away.

 "We'll leave together." Eleanor replied.

"Definitely not the both of us."

"Fine, you are poor, but that doesn't mean you should look poor and like a mad person." Eleanor compliment, "As if on cue, her eyes catches a men's boutique opposite them, "Come on, let's get you a set of new clothes."

Ryan mentally screamed, he saw that place earlier and was contemplating on going in, before she came here. And she's too much of a busy body, why wouldn't she just let him be??

"I am not going to be indebted to you." Ryan says neutrally, his voice no longer had the cold undertone.

"I'm not asking you to pay me, infact you don't have to pay me." Eleanor said, a little to excitedly.

"No..."

"Fine, think of it as a thank you for saving my grandfather."

Realizing he really needs a new clothes to at least look normal, Ryan considered her offer.

As if on cue, one of his master's annoying quote played in his head.

"Don't expect or collect anything in return for a help you rendered, else that doesn't count as a help anymore."

"I'll pay you back when I have the money." Ryan tells her.

"Fine by me then!" Eleanor exclaimed and grabbed his hand pulling him up and across the street.

The instant her hands touched him, he became dumb, lost in himself.

The feel of her hand, it was a memory buried at the farthest corner of his mind. It was odd and very familiar.

He snatched his wrist away from her hand forcefully the instant he became conscious.

Glaring at her, he snarled, "Don't ever touch me!!"

Eleanor flinched, wasn't he taking it a bit too far?

 "Uh... Sorry?"

Ryan ignores her and enters, the boutique is a sub branch of his company.

One glance at room and he could tell things weren't going too well. For one, there were old products still on the racks even when it's now new season.

"Please take care of him." Eleanor tells one of the attendants.

Ryan ignores expected the attendant to treat him condescendingly, but surprisingly, she put on a bright smile as she ushered him to the dressing room, taking a cloth off the racks. One of the very expensive clothes he wondered but doesn't say anything.

He mentally noted to ask Asher to give her a raise while also taking note of her name.

"Would you also like to use the bathroom sir?" She asks politely.

"Sure!" Ryan answered quickly, he needed to wash the cleaner's odour from his body, he had put up with it for too long.

When he came out of the dressing room in the casual dressing room, dressed in the casual expensive wears, Eleanor shakes her head at him negatively.

"Even with the expensive wear, you still look homeless." She mumbles under her breath.

"You expected too much." Ryan snorts and walks out of the boutique, leaving Eleanor to settle the bill.

He felt a bit more like himself, he can't wait to make his comeback, but first he needs to get the list of all those involved in his parent's death.
