"Mummy, why can't I go along with you. I also want to see your new experiment mummy."

She squatted down. "Son, stay here okay. I promise to give you lots of chocolate if you behave."

"But mummy, I want to see the sea star. Please mummy." He pleaded in a crying voice.

She dabbed his head and looked at him with a smile on her face. "The sea star was not brought here to play with, Junior. We have to use it as an experiment."

"Are you going to kill the poor sea star?" He asked in a sombre voice.

She held both his hands and placed kisses on them. "You'll understand everything when you're all grown dear. We're doing this to make human lives better. That's our job as a scientist."

His eyelids lowered looking all sad. "Are you going to kill all the sea stars in the sea for your experiment." He asked in saddened eyes looking at her.

She heaved a sigh and embosomed him tightly. "Don't worry son. We aren't going to kill all the sea stars. I'm sure you'll understand ones you grow up and be a scientist like your mother." She pulled him away and held his shoulder firmly. "You've always wanted to be a scientist right?"

He nodded his head.

"And what did I say is the job of a scientist?"

"To make lives better for everyone."

She placed a kiss on his forehead. "That's my boy. And what does a good boy do?"

"To always listen to his parents."

She raised her hand for an high-five and he slapped it smiling.

"I love you mummy." He hugged her.

"I love you so much son. Always know that."

"Ms Susan..." a voice called pulling away this mummy and son's mini time.

Susan was a red hair woman and dark eyes. Her round glasses was hung perfectly on the bridge of her nose and it matches her oval face. Her red hair was packed to a bun and her white doctor suit covered her inner clothes.

"Mr Louis.." She stretched out her hand to shake the black man.

Mr Louis was a black man who had dermatosis papulosa nigra on his face. He was tall and a bit huge.

"We're ready for your experiment Ms Susan."

"Okay." Retracting her hand back to her side. "Just a minute."

He cocked his head to her side and saw the six year old boy standing behind her.

"Hello Junior."

"Hello Mr Louis."

He squatted down to him. "Don't feel sad son. Mummy will be with you shortly."

Junior nodded his head faintly. "I heard you guys will be using a sea star for your new experiment. Is that true Mr Louis?" His voice and eyes became sad.

Mr Louis heaved a sigh. "Yes boy."

"You promised me it was going to be my pet."

He sighed and held his shoulders firmly. "Do you like William's condition?"

William is a friend to Junior. His legs were amputated due to a serious accident with his family. He was the only surviving one in the accident, and have to live with his uncle Louis. William was two years older than Junior.

"No..." He shook his head.

"Son.., we scientist have a great role to play in the society and to human lives too. You see....we want to save millions of children out there using a sea star DNA. Won't it be great if you and William start playing football together?"

He smiled widely. "Do you mean William will get his legs so we can play football...?" He asked in an excited tone.

Mr Louis nodded. "Yes son."

"Yay..." Sounding super excited. "Mom did you hear that. William will get his legs back and we'll play football and basketball together."

Mr Louis and Susan laughed looking at the excited boy.

"You see son, if you are this happy for your friend, imagine lots of children, families and friends that will be very happy for this."

He hugged his mom. "Mom, Mr Louis, I won't feel sad anymore. Please do everything you can now to save William and the rest of the children in the world."

Mrs Susan kissed his head. "Yes my love. You and William will start doing every other boy's activities."

Mr Louis rubbed his back. "It's time to say goodbye to your mom now."

"Goodbye mom." He said and went to hug Mr Louis. "Goodbye Mr Louis."

"I want you to sit down here. Mummy will gift you with lots of chocolate. All you have to do is be a good boy. Is that okay son."

Junior nodded his head and stared at Mr Louis. "When I grow up, I also want to save lots of lives just like you and mummy."

Mr Louis poked his nose. "That means you have to study real header and be the best scientist the world has ever known."

He nodded smiling.

"Good boy." Mr Louis got up from his squatting position.

"We'll be right back." His mom spoke smiling.

"Love you mom."

"Love you too son."

"You have such an amazing kid." Mr Louis spoke as they started walking.

She smiled. "Thank you Mr Louis. I think he likes you."

"I don't mind being a god father to my nephew's bestfriend."

They laughed. "Sounds great then."
