Chapter 4

The Old Mrs. Jones was mad at Rosalie because CEO Blake’s two sons had left with disappointment. Rosalie had chased them away after pouring water on them.

Looking at Michael with a critical eye, the Old Mrs. Jones said, “why on earth did you allow your daughter to do such things?”

“I’m not at home when it happened,” Michael said, pointing his finger at Dinah. “Dinah should receive all the blame. I don’t know where she found the disobedience bastard Rosalie.”

Dinah feel the huge to attack his husband, but have to abate her anger in the presence of the Old Mrs. Jones. She stared at the floor as the grandma look at her.

“Michael, I will still put the blame on you. Didn’t I warned you never to marry this idiot?”

Rosalie exchange glances with Jake in shock. They couldn’t believe grandma can call their mother an idiot.

Dinah remains silent and keeps staring at the floor. She will definitely retaliate with Michael once grandma left.

“And you, Rosalie,” Grandma said, “since you have become deaf to my command like your stupid father, and have ruined my plan, I will make your fool Dallas regret he fell in love with you.”

Rosalie panicked. She doesn’t want any bad thing to happen to the innocent Dallas. “It’s my fault, not-“

Michael slapped Rosalie, and roared, “you still have the gut to speak?”

“Let her explain herself to multiply Dallas’s suffering,” Grandma said.

Hearing this, Rosalie fell on her knee before Grandma with tears flowing from her eyes. “I’m so sorry, granny. I will never repeat my mistake.”

“Is that a mistake?” Grandma asked, furrowing her brow .

“I will always do whatever you ask me to do. Please don’t harm Dallas.” Rosalie laid her head on Grandma, shedding more tears. “I’m really sorry granny, please don’t harm Dallas.”

“You will do whatever I ask you to do?”

“Yes, please granny.”

“Venus company wants to build a hotel worth tons of billions. I’m interested in the project. Although I got the chance to a contract with Venus company easily, but you have destroy the important chance with your stupidity,” the Old Mrs. Jones said, rising on her feet, and ready to leave. “If you can get me a contract from Venus company within three days, I would forgive you, and let you marry Dallas.”

“One more thing, if you get the contract, you will be the manager of our company,” Grandma added, and walked out of the house, leaving them in shock. How would Rosalie get the contract when she had offended CEO Blake’s two sons?

Grandma knew Rosalie won’t be able to get the contract without begging CEO Blake’s sons. And CEO Blake’s sons won’t give her the contract except she marries one of them.

Rosalie sat on the ground, weeping like a small child. She didn’t want Grandma to hurt Dallas, but she didn’t know how to get the contract.

Later that evening, Rosalie dialed Dallas’s phone number, and explained everything that happened to him.

With patient, Dallas listened carefully to every word Rosalie had forced herself to say. He hated how Rosalie wept and was eager to make her happy.

“Don’t worry, prettiest. Try your luck. I believe you will get the contract without marrying Blake’s son,” Dallas said, making Rosalie feel little peace.

No one console or believe her. Not even her parents, except Dallas, who didn’t despise her from the beginning.

In the morning, Dallas followed Rosalie to the Venus company through taxicab.

“I will wait for you outside,” Dallas said

Tears filled Rosalie’s eyes again. She didn’t believe in herself. Losing Dallas would be like losing herself.

Dallas hugged her. “You would succeed. You don’t have to see the whole stairs. Take the first step.”

Rosalie was rubbing off her tears as she was walking into the company with some documents she had prepared last night.

Seeing that she had entered the company, Dallas took out the new Android phone he bought yesterday, dialing his lieutenant’s phone number.

“Morning sir,” Lieutenant Douglass shout as he saluted.

“Do you know CEO Blake? I remember you said something about him back then,” Dallas said.

“Did he offend you, sir?” Fear filled his voice.

“He might offend me if he didn’t give Rosalie Jones a contract now.”

“Rosalie Jones? Who’s she?”

“Are you asking me?”

“I’m sorry, sir. I will call Blake right now.”

As General Dallas hang up the call, Lieutenant Douglass dialed CEO Blake’s phone number.

In a luxurious office in Venus company, the assistant of the CEO Blake informed him that Lieutenant Douglass’s calling.

“Dude,” CEO Blake said as he accepted the call.

“What’s wrong with you, dude?” Lieutenant Douglass boomed.

Blake was puzzled. “What do you mean? You are calling Blake’s number.”

“Yes, I know. Why did you fucking piss my commander off?”

Blake raised his eyebrows, panicking. How can he dare to anger the poisonous gentleman? “I don’t understand you.”

“Refuse to give a contract to Rosalie Jones and you fucking rot in hell,” Lieutenant Douglass roared, and hung up.

“Hello, buddy, hello...” CEO Blake looked at his personal assistant in shock, asking, “who’s Rosalie Jones?”

“I will show you her pictures. Give me a minute, please sir,” Jane said as she saw how her boss was restless. She goggled Rosalie Jones’s pictures, and show them to him.

“She survive in a burning house, and became ugly since then, but as you can see over there, she regain her beauties with the help of Diamond Hospital in Russia. And I heard a rumour yesterday that your two sons were interested in marrying her, but she pour water on them,” Jane added.

“Holy crab!! My son???” CEO Blake stood while still staring at the pictures, walking out to look for Rosalie. He was thinking his sons might have offended the poisonous gentleman. He would definitely deal with them.

A female security had told Rosalie that CEO Blake wasn’t around, thinking CEO Blake won’t like to meet with Rosalie. But Rosalie insisted on waiting till CEO Blake would arrive.

While waiting patiently, Rosalie saw the handsome Harry coming from an elevator. Harry was the first son of CEO Blake.

Rosalie wanted to hide, but it was too late for her.

“Hey,” Harry said, walking to her. “I know you are here to beg me, isn’t it? Anyway, I have concluded that I was fool of your fake beauties. And am happy to tell you are not my type.”

“I’m not here to beg you. But...” Swallow your pride, she thought to herself. “But I need your help.”

Harry laughed, “anyway, what do you want me to do for you?”

“Please, give my family a contract from the new project. Please, you are my last hope.”

“Can you be my one nightstand?”

“You say?” Rosalie raised her eyebrows.

“You aren’t my type anyway, but I will help you get the contract tomorrow, if you would be my one nightstand.”
