Chapter 7:- A Friendly Spar

As soon as the four heavenly angels entered the room they hugged me tightly.

“You look just like your mother.” Says one of the heavenly Angels.

“Yes, the magical power you contain is as strong as your mother.” Says another.

“Where were you till now? Why didn’t you come before? Where is your mother?” says another one.

“We are your mother’s elder brothers.” Says another one.

I was confused by the sudden questioning of the heavenly angels. The Divine King was the eldest sibling.

“He came after the long time because he didn’t know the identity of his real parents. Even when he was here just before he didn’t know his mother’s identity.”

“He says that Diosa left him at the door of an old farmer couple. Since then her whereabouts are unknown. She left him with the pair of pendants we gave her.”

The four heavenly angels were weeping as they hear what the Divine Kings said.

After that we chatted for some time and the four heavenly angels left. The four heavenly kings were kind and told me everything about my mother.

My mother had the strongest holy magic in heavens, she would beat her brothers if they did something wrong. As she was the youngest member of the family she was overly loved by everyone.

If she wanted something she would get it. She was hiding that she was in love. When her brothers found out she had someone she loved, they tried to find who her lover is.

But they can’t find the trace of her lover. The only clue was the traces left by the dark magic.

After they were gone I said “I want to have private chat with Sophia regarding something.”

“I will ask Sophia to come.” The Divine king said.

After some time, Sophia entered the room. The divine king said “I will leave you two for some time I have to attend to a task.”

The divine king left. “Princess Sophia I know that you were one of the person who was in the infirmary on the day I collapsedt the academy."

"I don’t know anything so would you kindly tell me everything that happened that day?"

Sophia starts to tell everything that happened that day. She tells that she hadn’t seen any strong pressure from the magical energy like mine.

I then left the room leaving Sophia behind. I am on the Knight training ground and I sat there watching the knights’ train again.

Ridire came to me “Regal Is everything okay. You look kind of stressed out.”

“Everything is fine. It’s just there are many things that surprised me today and I am processing everything that’s happened today.”

“If you are feeling stressed then let’s have a friendly spar with me.”

“Let’s see who will win.”

I am now on the arena with Ridire. He is holding a wooden sword and a shield. He gave me the same sets of equipment.

Ridire swings his sword towards me.

It's a good swing, and it connects with my shoulder armor. I fall to one knee. "Ow!"

I look at him curiously as he raises his sword again. He seems concerned about me. Then I realized that there was blood on the blade of his sword.

And while he attacked me, I retaliated with my sword and the tip of my sword was dripping blood. While I retaliate my sword seems to have pierced a little through his abdomen armor.

I knocked Ridire over, and go for his sword. The knight holds on to it tightly. I have an idea.

"How about we call this one even?" I suggest.

Ridire nods. "All right." He puts down his sword.

I put my hand out towards him. "Now that we're both unarmed," I say, "I'd like to shake hands."

He hesitates just a moment before reaching out. His hand is covered with fresh blood from his wound. "Are you all right?" he asks.

I nod. "Yeah, I'm fine. But my sword has some blood on it..."

"It's okay. I'll clean up." He picks up his sword and wipes it against a nearby tree.

I pick up my own sword and sheath it.

We visit the doctor together to treat the wound. He cleans the cut and stitches it closed. Ridire explains how he got the wound and apologizes for injuring me.

The doctor tells us that he will let the knights know who were watching the spar that our spar should be considered a draw.

He also says that we shouldn't worry about the wound too much; it will take a week or two for the wound to heal completely.

I thank the doctor and leave. I head back to the castle.
