Our Daily Life (2)

Warm, that's what I feel right now. The lighting ray of the sun that peeked a little has come to shine the whole world. I sit on the sofa, opened the book that I brought with me, and read it with enjoyment. The breeze gushed, blowing the leaf and twigs, making a nice sound of nature in harmony.

"Latina,...."

"Hmm,...?"

I called her, but her response's somehow always like that when she's focusing on something.

"You're kinda heavy you know,...."

"Wha-!"

All this time, when I read something she will be with me. Also reading a book by my side but, rather than leaning toward the sofa she's leaning toward me instead. It's not like she's interrupting my reading but, I always feel weird about it.

"How rude! For your information, I'm light as cotton!"

"Hmm, I think I agree with you,"

She was puzzled, it seems she didn't expect that I will be agreeing with her and made a baffled expression.

"But you see, you feel like a bunch of wet cottons to me,"

"Wha-!"

She snapped again and punched me with her slender hand. Even though that punch didn't feel anything, it's still annoying if she does it continuously.

This is our daily routine since I came to this house. We laughed together, bantering about something weird, and even teasing each other. Well, even though the one that always teasing is me but this is what we do together. A fun daily life with just the two of us.

It's barely a month, but it feels like she's always my part of family in this world. Sometimes a strange feeling comes, a tingling and sharp feeling that I always feel when she's out of my sight. It is anxiety? I don't particularly know. Maybe deep down inside me, I don't want to lose someone that can be called family again.

Around mid of the day, I finished my reading. I fixed my posture and close the book in my hand.

"Latina,..."

"Hmm?"

"Want a little snack?"

Her eyes sparkling, with haste she get up and dragged me to the kitchen.

It's just an easy and light snack in the middle of the day and we enjoyed it with small talk.

The day after, when I woke up. In the bed where I was sleeping, there was a beautiful girl at my side. Yes, she is Latina. With light single-piece clothing, she's asleep soundly. It's bugging me at first why she was sleeping with me even though many times I sleep on the sofa, at the end of the night I always wake up in bed with her. Is she always like this? Always sleeping with random people that she barely knows? Somehow I genuinely worried about her.

But right now I can't care less, she's adorable in her sleep, warm, and it makes me at ease. So I don't particularly mind if this becomes a routine either. Even if she has her own reason, I can't probe her because she's not probing my past either. A golden rule to maintaining a long relationship.

Like always, I wake up earlier than her, making breakfast as usual and reading some books. But this time is different. After learning that there was a village nearby, I decided to go there. Selling some potions that Latinas make and some scrolls. When I asked her if we can sell those, she seemed to don't mind it even though what she sells is kinda high-quality scroll.

The time to depart has come, with a cart on my back. I was getting ready for pulling it. When I thought about the route, my mind suggested that I shouldn't do this. Goes down the hill, goes through the forest, and then finally I can rest in a village.

"Are you, sure?"

Latina came from inside the house, asking me a question that's already known the answer.

"Of course,"

"....."

She keeps silent until when I already starting to pull the cart she's made a quiet and low sound.

"Make sure,...."

"Make sure you come back,...."

I turn my head around, looking at Latina with her medium silver hair. She's looking down, grabbing one of her arms.

I'm smiling and then exhaled. Continued my step to the village and then answered, "Of course, this is also my home after all."
