Chapter Six; You Are My Son

“What are you trying to say?” Lucas looked at her expression, he heard what she said quite alright, but he was unwilling to believe him.

Melos’s saw the confusion in his eyes and smiled, “perhaps he hasn’t found out yet she said”

She dipped her hand into her purse and brought out a wrinkled paper.

“Take a look at this by yourself, I hired a detective to look for you all these while, you don’t know how happy I was when I heard that there was someone who looked like me in jail.

I immediately had them take your blood sample and compared it with mine at the genetic department, it proves he was right, you are my son.”

She paused for a little while as if giving him time to adjust to the information.

“I am sorry you had to go through all you did because I didn’t find you soon enough, now that I did, I will not let you leave my sight”. As opposed to earlier, she had a more serious and determined look.

There was total silence in the room.

Lucas observed the paper for a long time, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing, it was such a shocking news that he didn’t know wether to cry of laugh.

Although he doesn’t know this woman personally, he was definitely sure she was a member of the high society, if only he was interested in the gossip around the rich, he might have known who she is.

But unfortunately he had been busy working and schooling that he didn’t have time for entertainment news, he also didn’t have money enough to watch the financial news.

“Are you really my mother?” He asked in a barely audible voice.

Melissa nodded viciously. “Yes child, it’s me, mom, am back”

“I am sorry this information is too much for me to handle can I take time to process and absorb it?”

“Yes of cause, I’ve waited for your for nineteen years, I can still wait. Erm how long would it take for you then?”

“Two days but I also request that you let me go out and receive some fresh air, this place can be suffocating.”

“Okay, I’ll give you the time you want, I’ll also tell the butler to let you out anytime you want but please rem we to come home” Lucas saw the pleasing look on her eyes and nodded.

Mellisa then stood up and not him farewell then she existed the door. She met the butler and other staff at the garden, she gave them some instructions and left.

When Lucas got the opportunity to go out, the first place he went to was Pacific Bar.

As soon as the bouncers saw him, they frowned their faces and shifted closer to block his way.

“Don, Jack, what are you guys doing? Don’t you know who I am again? It’s me Lucas, is boss around? I want to see him”

He really wanted to apologize and get his stuff, only then can he get clearance.

“Last time you really caused boss a lot. Part of his building was broken, he was beaten and he’s lost his place in the heart of the high society, yet you come back here casually as if nothing happened.”

Lucas was shocked, if they did that much to him, then why didn’t they gone after him in the prison?

Lucas made way to enter again but they store him.

“Boss really doesn’t want to see you, if you really want to cause trouble for him then leave him.”

Lucas thought for a while before changing his approach.

“Is boss around? Can you tell him to come out first!”

“No he’s not around”

“But you said he’s around?”

“No we didn’t you’re holding up the line just shift.”

“I was to just ask him something, just let me go” Lucas’s voice was now growing louder. This caused many people around to look at him.

Many of them are from high end so they had a disgusting look seeing him in jeans and T shirt, it also didn’t help that he was making too much noise like an uncivilized madman.

His boss finally came out.

“What is it, who’s causing this commotion?” When he saw Lucas, he stopped mid sentence and dragged him to the back of the club as if he doesn’t want to be seen with him.

“Mister Boma, I am really sorry, I heard you went through a lot of trouble because of me…”

“If you heard then why did you still come?” Mister Boma asked with a cold expression.

“I wanted to..”

“Just stop it, you’ve already caused me enough damage, I took a lowlife like you and had to suffer such grievances, just forget about this, I never want to see you again”

Lucas was stunned when he heard Mister Boma, he was like a totally different person entirely, was this how it would have been?”

“Mister Boma let me ask a question, why are you doing this? Why are you chasing me away like that!”

“Don’t you know it? It’s because you are a snake-bit, you are poor and have no family, Iyou’re very unlucky, I don’t need you to come and jinx my business, after a while it’s reviving again so just go as far away from me as possible.”

After saying that Mister Boma strode and left him

Lucas wanted to say something but he was too affected by his words, he left without looking for him again.

He went home straight and asked the Butler to call their madam.
