Chapter 6: My Sacrifice to Bear

The guards looked at each other and took out their spears to start spearing the protestors.

Arthur saw this and using his superspeed stats he stopped all of the spears from being driven into the bodies of the protestors that followed him and threw the guards away.

"People! Look at the guards that were meant to protect you! They are now just pawns of the king to stop all of you! It is clear that the king does not care for you, nor will he do anything for you!" He shouted and making his voices be heard amongst the crowd.

The people couldn't believe that the guards that were always protecting them have already turned against them. But the most unbelievable part was Arthur stopping all of the attacks in a blink of an eye.

"Hero!" One of the protestors shouted.

It was obvious. Arthur had levitated in the sky with the light of the sun making him look divine, he had stopped the guards at a speed inconceivable to the naked eye, all of this points to only one thing, Arthur is a being sent by god, a Hero.

The protestors started crying out at thanked go at that moment.

However, the king was watching everything from his balcony. "How the heck are the guards not able to attack him!?" He shouted at the captain that was beside him. It was the captain that had met Arthur previously.

"My Lord, I have seen him before and his power is almost unfathomable. He seems weak now, but I'm sure he is doing that to be more closer to the citizens." The captain said.

"Find out his identity!" The King shouted while he walked in his room front the balcony.

"We already have speculated who he might be." The guard replied.

"You have? Good. Who might this dirtbag be?" The King asked.

"Uhm. This might help." The captain said before taking out the Behemoth Bill that he had in his hands and giving it to the King.

The King took the bill and saw that the face of the bill was the exact same face as the Arthur's and normally, only King's and leaders would have their face would be on bills, and considering the quality and material of the bill, it is clear that the King or the leader that was on the money is a powerful one.

The King looked at Arthur who was smiling and shaking hands with the citizens and looked at the captain. "He is trying to take over my kingdom. But I don't think I have the power to stop him, call all my advisors, now!" He shouted.

Meanwhile Arthur just kept a politician smile and kept on shaking the peoples hands while saying the same words repeatedly, "I want you to join me in your crusade!"

But as he saw the sun setting, he then looked at everyone while tearing another levitation scroll again and levitate slowly to the sky. "I will be seeing you again, tomorrow at the same place, same time, for our crusade!" He shouted while he flew to one of the inn.

As he entered the inn he realized that it was empty, "Huh, it seems that there really is a lot of people that went for that protest...", Arthur said wile looking at the only person that was in the inn.

It was the receptionist and Arthur approached her and gave her a gold coin. "Get me your biggest room, softest bed and I want the best breakfast that you could possibly get for me for tomorrow." He said while the ladies eyes looked at the gold coin and Arthur with a big eye. "Sir, even with that I am afraid that I won't be able to give you your change as we don't have enough silver coins." She said.

"That's fine. Keep the change." Arthur said while taking the token and key from his room and slept on the bed immediately upon contact with the bed.

The lady who was left with gold coin stared at the gold coin and started jumping and screaming in joy just as Arthur entered his room.

It had been a few hours and the sun rose again while shining light and waking Arthur up from the slight heat that it had.

Arthur woke up and stretched his body and opened his door expecting his breakfast on the floor to start his day.

However, as he opened the door, he saw his breakfast, in the hands of the captain with royal guards and knights outside of the room.

The captain then handed the breakfast to Arthur, "I am very sorry for the inconveniences but the King has summoned you and there is nothing I can do." The captain said while lowering his head slightly.

Arthur took the his plate that had beef stew and as Arthur ate the beef he could feel his mood getting better. "Whoah, this is a good breakfast. This is totally worth the one gold coin that I spent."

"Are you ready to meet the king?" The captain asked.

"Not yet, in front of the king, I will need to look like one." Arthur said before buying a full suit of one of the most expensive royal garment that he could find in the system shop and equipped it with a crown that is also used by a king that he bought from the system shop.

Right in front of the guards eyes, Arthur turned from a fine young man to a powerful King, and it was also thanks to the effect that the clothing had. "I am ready," Arthur said while nodding at the captain.

The guards then marched Arthur with a chain around his hand across the city for everyone to see.

But everyone who saw Arthur now looked at him as a hero who was willing to being this kind of humiliating state for them. They saw him, as the true king.

He looked at all of the faces of the people tat was there and could see that they were visibly saddened.

In fact, some of the protestors tried to to get through the guards to save Arthur.

"It's fine! It is my choice to be the one to take the sacrifice! Don't make what I did in vain!" Arthur shouted before the guards continue walking Arthur though the city.

And they eventually arrived at the gates of the King's castle and as they entered, Arthur could see more knights, soldier and wizards around Arthur to stop him in case he were to attack the King.

The door to the castle was huge and might have been the same size as Arthur's gigantification form and it looked like it was made with from steel and plated with gold.

The door opened and as Arthur entered the castle with more of the royal guards surrounding him.

He had reached the hallway and saw pictures of the King on the wall of the hallway.

Arthur could see the name that was under the King's portrait. "King Agval the 16th." He read while being walked to the end of the hallway.

As he reached the end of the hallway, one of the guards took out a key and put it at a mysterious place in the wall and the door that was hidden in the wall was opened.

"You may now proceed to the chamber of the King." The guard that was in the room said. while leading Arthur and the others into the room.

The King was holding a red wine on his right hand and was on hus throne looking at Arthur from above.

"So it is true that you are a King. But look at you now, below me like all the other dirt's that you are trying to save. Or maybe you aren't interested in them, maybe you just want to steal my kingdom for yourself." The king said while biting his teeth.

Arthur then broke the chains that was holding his hands together and suddenly the guards pull out their spears while the knights puller out their swords and bowmen pulled out their bows. The wizards then held out their hands preparing for any attacks that might come to the King.

"I am King Arthur Behemoth the second! And I have no interest in such a miniscule territory in this small continent, however, I couldnt bear to see that a king that depends on the people would steal and mock the same exact people that feed you." Arthur said.

"I am the King of this kingdom! They should all be thanjful that I allow them to stay here! Why should I care about them when they are staying at my kingdom!" The King shouted while pointed at Arthur.

"You have forgotten your role. As a leader, you are not a omnipotent being that should control your people but to treat them like a citizen. I see that you are drinking expensive wine, wine that the people that you call dirt are paying for." Arthur said.

"So? What are you expecting me to do? Make you king?" King Agval shouted.

"No, I will change this country into a country that the people will get to decide who the king is. It will be a republic that will depend on democracy and the decision of the people. Where leaders as yourself, have no power." Arthur shouted.

"I have let you blabber nonsense for long enough! Kill him!" King Agval shouted before the guards drive their spears to Arthur's chest, but it turns out that the Arthur they had driven their spears in was a mere after image and Arthur had jumped.

He then paralyzed everyone temporarily except the King. And the royal guards, knight, bowmen and wizards could do nothing but watch.

Arthur then walked up to the throne of the King.

"Get away from me!" King Agval shouted while unsheathing his sword and pointed it at Arthur.

Arthur then walked and broke the swords with his bare hands. "I will give you gold! a thousand gold coins!" The King shouted.

Arthur the took out all of the gold coins that was in his inventory and showed it to the king. "Do I look like I need your little bit of gold coins? Arthur asked while taking the good coins that he took out from his inventory back into the inventory.

"Then why are you here for?" The King shouted. "It can't be that you are just here to give power to the people of this kingdom?" He asked as if what Arthur was suggesting was unbelievable.

"I will do exactly that. I will give you exactly one day to pack your things and start a legitimate business, because from now onwards, you will not get any tax from the citizens." Arthur said while walking out of the door the King's chamber.

As the King saw Arthur leaving the room he Shaked in anger. "He humiliate me.... Me!!! How dare he!!!" He shouted before the guards stod up from their paralyzed state and looked at the King to see if he was in a good condition.

"I'm fine. Sigh..." The King said while he dropped on his chair. He was angry but he knew that the power that Arthur had just displayed is no something that his army or any army in the continent. "It's over..." The King said while looking at all of his wealth.

As Arthur left the castle he saw more people in front of the gate waiting for him and as they saw Arthur they all chanted his name. "Arthur! Arthur!" They shouted.

Arthur then put a bit of mana in his throat and shouted, "Rejoice! For I have done my job! I have given you, the people a choice to be free, a choice to choose the one to lead you, and the choice to vote out the leaders you feel are incapable of leading you!" Arthur shouted before the protestors smiled and looked at each other.
