"Alright," Mr. Benson muttered as he turned around and gazed at the center of the table.

"Before we all start eating dinner, I would like to introduce the newest maid in the house," he stated in a rumbling tone as his voice echoed throughout the room. Everyone at the table was focused on him.

"Everyone say hello to the newest maid, Diane; she is the maid in charge of taking care of the master’s garage," he said as he pointed at me.

"I want all of you guys to treat Diane as family, show her around the house, and teach her the rules of the house," he added as he stared at me. 

"Diane, is there anything you would like to say?" He asked raising an eyebrow as he gazed at me.

"Yes," I responded. 

"Alright, go ahead," he said in a low tone. I then stood up. This is my chance to try and be friendly with them.

"Good evening everyone, my name is Diane Cooper, and I am looking forward to working with all of you. I hope to carry out my job properly and also make friends while working here," I stated as I did a half bow and sat back down in my seat.

"Now, let’s all eat dinner," Mr. Benson replied in a rumbling tone.

We all started eating, and after a couple of minutes, we were all done eating dinner. Mr. Benson stood up from behind his chair.

"I am heading back to my room; the maids in charge of the dining room should clear out all the dishes," Mr. Benson said boldly.

"Goodnight, everyone," he added as he went out of the dining room. I stood up from the chair.

I think I should help the maids that are going to clear out the dishes, I would get to talk to some of them during the process.

As I was about to pick up one of the plates on the table, I felt a cold hand on my shoulder from behind.

"Welcome Diane," A feminine voice spoke from behind me. I turned around and looked at the person standing behind me.

"Thanks," I replied with a warm smile.

"My name is Chloe, I am one of the maids in charge of cleaning the dining room," she said with a warm smile. Chloe was tall; she had blonde hair and blue eyes, she looked like she was in her early 30’s.

Her saying she was one of the maids in charge of cleaning the dining room got me thinking, how rich is Mr. Rashaad? Because it seems to me like this man has a maid that handles specific task in his house. This shit is all new to me, I have never been on a mission like this before.

"Nice to meet you Chloe," I replied. 

"Same here. If you ever need anything, let me know; I will guide you; I am one of the oldest staff in the house," she said in a low tone with her gaze fixed on me.

"Of course, thanks a lot," I replied with a smirk.

"You are welcome," she said. After that she walked away from me. After Chloe left, a few other maids came up to me and welcomed me; they also introduced themselves to me.

After that, I helped the maids in charge of the dining room clear out all the dishes. Then I went back to my bedroom. I arrived in the bedroom. I ambled over to the bed and sat down.

"Phew," I sighed. I am glad that is out of the way. I am now acquainted with a few of the workers here, so it won’t be difficult for me to ask them to show me around. But the whole process was boring, If I was that bored to be at the dining room, I can’t imagine how Shadow and Bruce must have felt while watching the whole process.

I yarned. I am feeling very sleepy. I have to give Shadow a call before going to sleep. I stood up and walked over to the wardrobe, I opened it and took out the small flip-phone, I called Shadow, and he answered the call.

"Did you guys watch everything that happened?" I inquired in a low tone.

"Yes, we saw most of it. It was boring, Bruce, and I couldn’t watch everything," Shadow responded.

"Okay, I was just calling to check in. I am now acquainted with a few of the workers, It is now going to be easy for me to know more about the mansion," I stated.

"Yeah, we saw everything, you did good," he replied.

"I will have to end the call now, but before I do, I want to let you know that, you don’t need to check in with us from now on, and you also don’t need to carry the mini camera around with you, just try to fit into the house for now. We don’t want anyone to be suspicious about you, so, we are giving you one month to get accustomed to the house and also map out every inch of the house. After one month, you can check in with me again, and by then, I will expect good results," Shadow stated. Hearing all that he said came as a shock to me, why would he give me one month to settle into the house? That is too much time, I think we would be able to get the ruby before then. So, what the hell is Shadow talking about one month? 

"But this is all sudden, you never told me about this before, what brought about this sudden change?" I inquired in a soft tone.

"Yeah, I know I haven’t told you about this before, that is because I just made this decision after having a meeting with the rest of the crew. We all think it is best for you to blend into the mansion without any pressure on you," He responded. 

I think Shadow has made up his mind about giving me one month to blend into the house. I don’t think there is any point for me to questioning his decision, besides he is the mastermind behind this mission. I will have to go along with his decision.

"Alright I understand, I will do my best to blend in and gather all the information we need," I stated.

"I am glad you understand. Do your best Najmeh, goodluck, I will contact you when necessary," he replied in a calm tone as he ended the call.

I removed the cellphone from my ear and looked at it. I sighed. It seems my suspicions are right, this mission is going to take long. Well it’s up to me to gather all the information we need. I kept the cellphone in my wardrobe after that I walked over to the bed and laid down.
