The date...sort of (1)

Kelvin sat in his private jet as it soared through the air with it's destination being Boston. It was finally the day.

"So, I got the car delivered to the house you requested that I bought so once the limousine drops you there, you can drive to her house.", Gary said with his attention still on his laptop that sat on his laps.

He had accompanied Kelvin here because once he was done with "hanging out" with Cassidy, they had some buisness that they had to attend to.

"I'm having second thoughts.", Kelvin suddenly stated.

"Hm?", Gary raised his head and looked at Kelvin with a confused gaze.

"I can't help but feel like I'm putting too much effort into this and it's really putting me off."

Gary smiled after Kelvin said those words. He understood why he felt that way. Kelvin was someone who had always had everything land in his lap since he got to the top of the mountain.

He had been at the top for so long and has gotten accustomed to having everything he wanted without having to put in too much effort but now here he was, flying across countries just to meet a girl. It was a strange feeling.

"The problem is your mindset. You still think of this as one of your escapades with females and not as you wanting to get into something serious.", Gary stated.

"I guess you're right.", Kelvin sighed.

"Bro, it's okay to be scared. This is a whole new thing for you, just conquer your fears okay?"

"Okay."

....

The plane slowly came to a halt on the runway before the door opened up into a series of steps and Kelvin walked down, out of the plane.

He began to walk into the airport with Steve and a few other security personnel standing around him. His mode of transport was waiting for him at the front of the building.

When Kelvin got into the airport, it didn't take long for people to recognize him and he began to get flocked by tons of people who wanted to interact with him. Thankfully, his security did their job and held them back until he got into the car.

"One of the downsides of bring popular is the lack of privacy.", Kelvin heard a voice say when he got into the car.

"Hello Jerry.", Kelvin said without even bothering to look at the person.

"Good morning Mr Kelvin. How's the weather today?", Jerry asked with a smile.

"I'm not excatly in the mood for small talk so I suggest you get on with it.", Kelvin stated as the car had already began to move.

"Very well.", Jerry's expression turned serious, "We kept tabs on Diana as you asked and she came up clean, Everything checked out."

Kelvin glanced at Jerry but remained silent. Jerry didn't say anything either, he knew how Kelvin acted when he spoke while he was contemplating.

"Is that all?", Kelvin then asked.

"No, we did notice that she always frequented one of her warehouses in New York more than she did the others."

"And what excatly is strange about that?"

"We checked the records and both where the warehouse is placed and the activities that occurred in that place doesn't add up.", Jerry explained.

"The warehouse is in a secluded area of town but is only an hour drive from your personal residence. We also monitored the place for a while and did a little snooping around and found out that the warehouse did more importing than exporting."

"I still don't get your point Jerry.", Kelvin said.

"I'm getting there sir," Jerry replied, "The warehouse only recieved imports from one single company; Heriton."

That final piece of information got Kelvin's attention. From an outsider's perspective, Heriton was a company that sold ingredients to create beauty products. It was one of the biggest in the world.

But those who knew, knew that Heriton was one of the multiple companies that worked hand in hand with the CIA. The company's distribution sector was used to supply CIA agents with everything that they needed without alerting whoever was watching them.

Very few people knew about this. Infact, Heriton was rarely used by the CIA except on big missions so there were very few people who knew about their connection, but Kelvin was not just anybody.

"So she's working for the CIA?", Kelvin asked.

"We weren't sure at first, but she has just left the country. She landed in London about two hours ago. We still had eyes on the warehouse but information reached us that Heriton made one of it's largest exports this year to London about two days ahead of her trip there. We also had our inside guy confirm it... the cargo contained enough firearms to take out an army."

Kelvin broke into a smile upon hearing that. On one hand, he was glad that the CIA was not trying to play safe and was pulling out all the stops since they were going to go against him.

On the other, he was already imagining the pain he would put Diana through once he got her. She had played him for over 10 years!

Normally he would be angry, but instead, he held great respect for her and that was why he decided silently to make sure she didn't make it to the afterlife in one piece.

"You did well Jerry. Keep it up.", Kelvin said before getting out of the car. They had already reached the house he had bought here in Boston.

He looked at the building and shaked his head inwardly before a smile appeared on his face.

'I said buy a house, not a mansion.'

The house was so big that Kelvin was sure that it must have cost a lot. While he was not worried about the cost, he was worried however, about how Cassidy would react to it.

He then spotted one of the things that made him get here first. Parked at the other side of the large compound was a Lamborghini Gallardo.

This car was transported from his house in New York over to this place, ahead of his arrival. Kelvin had personally modified and customed this car by himself after spending about six months learning how to do it.

He then got into the car and turned it on. He closed his eyes and relished the beautiful sound of the engine. Without wasting anymore time, he stepped hard on the accelerator and drove the car around the large compound to heat the engine up.

After about thirty minutes of joy riding, he then stopped in front of steve and rolled down the window so he could give him some instructions.

"I want you and the others to not be directly around me. Just keep your distance, I don't want Cassidy to feel awkward.", Kelvin said.

Steve nodded in affirmation and Kelvin zoomed off past the gates and into the road. It was now time to pick up Cassidy.
