Chapter Forty-Eight: Six Months.

THE sound of a heart rate monitor made Paxton wake up. He gasped for air and quickly opened his eyes as if he had been into a long nightmare.

A white ceiling and the scent of roses greeted him. Slowly, he turned his head to look around. He's in a hospital room!

The door opened and Red entered inside. His eyes widened to see that he finally woke up!

“Boss! Finally, you’re awake!” he squirmed.

Red run towards his bed and pressed the buzzer above the side table.

“He’s awake! Boss Paxton Braxon is awake!” he said, excitedly.

While Paxton was still trying to figure out what was happening and why he was here, Sylvester, his godfather, came inside the room followed by the Doctors.

“God, I thought you’re going to die!” Sylvester said.

The Doctor helped him sit up until he leaned back on the headboard.

“What do you feel?” The Doctor asked.

“I’m a bit dizzy,” he replied. “Why am I here?”

“You didn't remember?” Sylvester asked.
