The rest of the day passed quickly for Daniel and Lisa. The more they worked, the better they got to know each other.

When the clock struck five o'clock, Lisa announced that she had finished her tasks for the day.

Daniel was also ready to go home. He had to be back the following morning very early. He and Lisa had to find a strategy to get the contract with Empire State Building.

"See you tomorrow Dani" she said.

"See you tomorrow! " Daniel replied.

Both went to their respective cars. Lisa was going home while Daniel was going to his apartment.

Daniel arrived at his apartment tired. Once inside, he took his clothes off and put on his pajama. He lay down on his bed and closed his eyes.

It was a nice and sunny day, the birds were singing in the sky. The sun shone from the window, he felt asleep.

The next day, Daniel woke up very early, he had to prepare for work. He had to be there very early because he wanted to avoid the traffic jam.

He got up and washed his face, he looked at himself in the mirror. His face was covered with a little beard.

He brushed his teeth and put on his suit, he wore a tie and shoes.

He went downstairs and opened the door. He was looking forward to seeing Lisa again.

When Daniel arrived at the office, Lisa was already there. They greeted each other and talked about their work.

It was half past seven, the staffs entered the office at eight.

Daniel was a bit late, he was usually on time but that morning, he had overslept.

"I'm sorry about that! I overslept!" He said apologetically.

Lisa smiled "it's ok! It happens sometimes."

They worked until lunchtime. After lunch, they continued working. At three o'clock, they stopped working and decided to take a break.

After taking a short nap, they returned to the office and continued working.

It was now six thirty in the evening, the staffs had gone home and it was only Lisa and Daniel left in the office.

They had to talk about how they should have contract..

" So , to get started, we first need to go scouting at Empire State Building" 

"What do you think they will say?" Lisa asked.

"I don't know." Daniel admitted.

"Why do we have to go scouting?" Lisa asked.

"Because I don't know anything about Empire State Building Company, I don't know what they will say when I ask them for a contract!"

"That's true" Lisa agreed.

"You know something about them?" Daniel asked.

"I know they are big companies, and that they have lots of employees and resources. "

"Right!" Daniel said.

"But I can't imagine them giving us a contract, because it's too good to be true" Lisa said.

"Are you sure you want to scout them?" Daniel asked.

"Yes! I want to scout them" Lisa said.

"Okay, then let's go!" Daniel said.

"Hello" the secretary said when he answered the phone.

"Good afternoon, may I speak with the owner?" Daniel asked.

"Of course " she said.

"Can I introduce myself? My name is Daniel Ochieng Biao and I represent a company called Black Panther Products."

"Yes, Mr. Ochieng" the man said.

"I would like to speak with the owner" Daniel said.

"I'm sorry, he is away right now, but he will return soon and he will receive you, or you can leave a message" she said.

"Okay then, thank you very much for your help" Daniel said and ended the conversation.

He turned to Lisa who was sitting next to him.

He was disappointed, he didn't know what to do.

If the owner wasn't available, he was sure that he wouldn't be able to see him.

He knew he had to try another way, maybe the owner was out of the country or something?

He thought about calling someone else, but before that he needed to make some research. He spent an hour searching the internet.

Finally he found something, information about the owner of the company.

He read the information carefully and learnt a lot about him.

He learned that the owner of the company was a young man whose career had been very successful.

He had been a vice president at a bank and he owned several companies.

Now he was the owner of Empire State Building Company which was one of the biggest companies on the planet.

Daniel was impressed by the information he had found.

According to his profile, the owner had traveled all over the world and had visited many countries. He was a man who had achieved great things in his life.

He then realized that having this contract was going to be more difficult than expected.

After spending an hour reading about the owner, Daniel decided to call another person in the company.

"What will we do now?" Lisa asked.

" I'll call the director of material resources" Daniel responded.

" Okay ! Call her " 

Daniel picked up his phone and made the call.

"Hello" the woman said when she answered the phone.

"Good afternoon. I'm Daniel Ochieng Biao I represent Black Panther Products Company" Daniel said introducing himself.

"Mr. Ochieng, I've never heard about this company, can you tell me what it does?" the lady asked.

"Black Panther Products is a small company that makes products made from the leaves of a tree that grows only in Africa" Daniel said.

"Is it true?" she asked.

"Yes! That is what we do!" Daniel said.

"That's interesting. Can you send me more information about you and your products?" she said.

"Of course, I'll be glad to send it to you" Daniel said.

"Please, I need it urgently!" she said.

"I understand! I will do my best to provide you with the information you need as soon as possible" Daniel said.

"Thank you! If you could send it to my email address..." she said.

"I'll do it right away!" Daniel said.

Daniel sent the information through his email account to the lady's email account.

He hoped she would reply so he could learn more about her.

Two hours passed and still nothing happened. He wondered what was happening.

Then he remembered that the owner had traveled far away and might be busy with other business matters.

He decided to wait and try again tomorrow.

"Daniel! You're here!" Lisa said.

Daniel was surprised to see her, he thought she had gone home for the day.

"I'm sorry, I just came back!" He said.

"No problem! I was wondering why you hadn't left yet!" Lisa said.

They both went upstairs to the office.

"What are you doing here?" Daniel asked.

"I couldn't sleep, so I decided to come over and work with you!" Lisa said.

"Great! Come on in!" He invited her.

After a few minutes, they were both working together.

They began by discussing the previous day's work, they reviewed their progress.

"I think we did well today!" Daniel said.

"Yeah! I agree!" Lisa replied.

"Tomorrow we'll start scouting at Empire State Building!" Daniel said.

"Yes!" Lisa agreed.
