Chapter 32: What Are You Doing?

"This is food and drinks that I can buy with the money you gave me earlier," Dylan said weakly.

"What is this food? We used never to touch this food, and we always gave it to the dog, but now you're giving it to me?" snapped Granny Smith emotionally.

"This is the only food I get, Mum; the money you gave me wasn't enough to buy your favourite bread," Dylan said defensively.

"That's it!" That was the only word that came out of Granny Smith's mouth; she didn't appreciate Dylan's efforts to get the food.

Even though his struggle was full of hard work, and received cynical stares and sadistic insults from people who met him where he bought the food. But he did not want to tell his mother; he just suppressed the heartache he experienced while purchasing the food.
