Chapter 8. 'Oh no Dad'

It, however, wasn't the first time he displayed his Carlos behavior to his Dad and Mom, however, he never actually wanted to follow him through his small and old classic vehicle which looked outdated to his taste. The whole time in the dining room, inspiredly they were waiting for him, thinking he would've shown up before the time became extremely late and he didn't care about what anyone said or thought about his rules, according to his thoughts, he was always right with the decision all the time; he made for himself and he eventually expects everyone to repeat it when it is been spoken.

"What!... But I told him, I was going to drop you guys off before going to work regardless… What is his problem now? Look at the time! I was trying not to be late for work and now this. Where is he now? I have to go and talk to him right this minute, he just comes off the madness in this house!."

Hayden was busy trying to set his point straightforwardly to his wife, so she could understand, that Raymond was always funded of this activity but whenever he tried intervening in the situation and stopping it from happening again, his wife would always stop him from confronting Raymond, she happened to be his best friend when it comes to his defense.

They were still interested in sharing these lights and didn't notice that Raymond was already close to the dining room, he gradually increased his speed and power towards the room, he held his phone in his right hand and an earphones cable plugged into the open source earphones cable. The music was loud and exhausting enough that for his enthusiasm it sounded good to be heard from the distance between the two walls.

"Speak of the devil and he appears right in front of you!," Eily reacted with words as soon as she saw Raymond walk through the staircase leading to the dinner table.

"There he is, just look at him, he has an excellent earphones cable plugged into his phone and then to his ears, of course, he doesn't care about the time or anything else. He is always on his phone, chatting or on calls with God knows who!" Raymond's Dad replied in a hurry and wasn't happy about it, he became anxious and angry with Raymond, but he didn't have to just break his previous promise to his wife; she begged him not to react immediately.

She was right, Raymond was still a small boy to him and his mother, and the tension between them had grown too much; most times, Raymond walked out of the dining room whenever he saw his Dad sitting on the dining chair. He didn't like his father that much, he felt his father was always trying to control whatever he did and does. This made him feel sick from the inside, but he didn't say anything to anyone but his self-explanatory variables in his thoughts at all times.

"Raymond!" He called out, but there wasn't a response back. Eventually, he got to the dining room and he extended his hand to take out a chair so he could sit down. The phone was still in his hand, his face was buried in the screen the whole time he walked down the stairs until he finally got to the table with his ears still blocked by the earphones and the cable attached to the phone.

"Hey! Raymond, you are at the dinner table, please drop your phone!" His mother smiled as she took out one of the phones from his ears.

"Oh, I am sorry Mom! Please can I get the food packaged up so I can get going? It is late already I have to go," Raymond replies to his mother with a bright smile looking straight forward into her eyes.

His father became angry at Raymond's statements, he knew they were waiting for him, yet he came into the room and acted as if he didn't see his father and sister there looking at him the whole time he came. Hayden couldn't bear it anymore, it got to his neck and it started to kill him If he didn't let out a few words for Raymond at that point.

"Come on. Eily, we have to go, it's better if we go right about now," he said, after immediately controlling himself before he could say anything that would be bad to the hearing of others.

He rolled down his suit to look at the time on his wrist. It was probably past the free seconds he had on his side, now he had to get going right away.

He stood up from the chair and placed his hand on the table for his spot to stand up. Eily was already on her feet waiting for him by the door side with her pack bag already carried on her back.

"Raymond, your sister had earlier said that you won't be coming with me right?" He asked Raymond. While putting his right hand on Raymond's shower.

"Yes Dad, I won't come with you, I want to go alone if that's okay with you?" He replied to his father's questions and asked him his question.

"Yeah, I am totally fine with that, but you would have told me earlier before now, you made me wait for you helplessly which is wrong to do" he answered back with a simple smile on his facial expression. "I will be going, for now, see you soon," he added. However, Eily got to the entrance of her high school. Her father drove into the parking lot and pulled out so she could come down from the car through the front door of the vehicle. Slowly, she opened up the door through the door trim handles to move out.

She was about to come down, then quickly, she came across her best friend Hannah. Her father also drove into the parking lot and immediately, he held his brake pads so the car would slow down.

"Day thanks for dropping me off at school, I have to go and meet Hannah over there" she requested to leave the vehicle so she could go alongside Hannah.

"Then what are you still doing here, go out and meet her before she leaves you" he replied to her.

A few more seconds had passed between the father and daughter talking in the car and Eily slowly came out and walked through the work wall towards Hannah who already came down from her Dad's car.

"Oh no Dad!"...
